Happy Little Stampers May Water Color Challenge - Flowers

For my card this month, I went with faux water coloring.  I inked up my stamp image, spritzed with water, and then stamped.

I started with a background stamp from AALL & Create, Squared Digits, using a light gray as to not overpower the flowers.  I used Gina K Watercolor Flowers Stamp Set.  These flowers worked perfectly with my faux water coloring.

Unfortunately, I am not sure who the Hello belongs to.  Just another one of my dies where I threw away the packaging. 😕

Just Us Girls Challenge #677 - CASE a DT

This is a new JUGS challenge - It is replacing the Wild Card Week.  Easy to join in, all you have to do is pick a card from one of the team Designers, and CASE it.  The catch?  The card you choose must be from the actual post for this #677 challenge over on the JUGS blog.

Here is what I came up with.  I hope I inspire you.

The weather here in AZ is finally starting to warm up. [We had a very cold Winter for Arizona!] That said, I get to start making some beachy type cards. [They are my favorite - well, besides florals anyway. 😀]  I used the Hero Arts Fern Die [retired], and the Simon Says Let Get Away Dies for the adirondack chair.  Finally, the fun glasses?  I have no clue, but I just love these!

The sentiment is from [OOB] Inspired By Stamping, Seaside Sentiments.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Balloons

It's my choice for this challenge.  How easy is it to make a birthday card with balloons! ;)

I started with a mini slimline - yes, I still love this style of base.  I used a couple of retired MFT balloon die-namics with colored card stock, and shaded them with Versamark, and a white gel pen.

The celebrate is from Skinny Sentiments from STAMPlorations, and the hb is retired from Happy Little Stampers.  Fun to make, fun to send.  I hope the recipient likes it :)

I went literal and used a window die.

Just Us Girls Challenge #676 - CAS Week

At first I thought about making a coffee card.  However, since I no longer work at Starbucks, I really have no need for that theme, except maybe once a year.  I don't need a stash..  So, I then thought about this fun Cupcake Digi from STAMPlorations!  This is seriously my favorite digi - I just love the way how you can custom-size it.

I made a one layer card with these 2 digi images, and then using a confetti die, I cut out some fun confetti for top decorating.  I also added some gems.

The sentiment is a freebie from Hannelie Bester over at Desert Diva. [I tried to find it, but no luck].  She has awesome digi sentiments that you can get for free HERE [if you want to check them out].  Grab a cup of coffee [or tea] you will be there for awhile! 😁

AAA Cards Challenge #238

I got an email for the challenge over at AAA Cards #238, Ripped or Torn Edges, and had to join in!  Sitting on my desk was a panel with torn pieces of inked card stock!  Kismet.

Apparently I was playing around with the torn pieces because, I adored the bright vivid colors.  This worked perfectly with the gold sparkle congrats as I need a wedding card!

They are getting married with a cowboy theme, in a campground.  That said, no stuffy wedding card for them!  This bright, torn pieces, focal abstract will be perfect!

Here is a bigger view of the board;

 A lovely "pink" moodboard.  That said, I was inspired by the barrel of pretty pink flowers.

I used a Simon Says embossing folder; Fine Canopy, along with Altenew's Beautiful Day stamp set with matching dies.

My sentiment is from the Memory Box Signature Greetings.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Alcohol

I have a wine loving friend, and her birthday is coming up!  Perfect challenge for this card.

 

I used my favorite "alcohol" dies - Wine Not from Kat Scrappiness. These dies are so fun, and work well on a mini size card.

I used a sentiment strip from Simon Says, along with a computer generated sentiment.  I'm thinking she will be happy with this card!

Freshly Made Sketches #580

I needed a last minute Easter card - since today is Easter - for my DH.  I figured the perfect time to play in a challenge [it's been a minute!], and Freshly Made Sketches #580 filled the bill!

I wanted to play around with some different patterned dp and this sketch was perfect for that.  The rest of the images are all from out of business companies.  Might as well use what I have.

I do think the bunny is cute, and rather realistic.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #235 - Garden

This time of year is the beginning of growing your garden.  How perfect is this code word?

For the background of my shaker window I grabbed a painted panel from my stash and went to work to recycle it.  I started with using a new-to-me embossing folder from Simon Says, Floral Festoon.  Once that was done, I just kept sponging on ink until I got the shading I wanted.  It looks like designer paper to me, so yay to me, job well done. 😉

I used a few unbranded dies for added decoration to the oval frame I cut out.  The sentiment is from an OOB business.

Happy Little Stampers April Stencil Challenge

So many possibilities with this monthly challenge!  I used a really old Heidi Swapp Mini Stencil, along with a couple of garage sale SU stencils I picked up on the cheap. 😉

I started with the Hello Stencil, using some Pixie Spray, as this is a very delicate stencil.  [This spray is amazing at hold down stencils!]  I used the g sale dots stencil, outlining with a micro fine pen.

Once I cut the circle out [Spellbinders Circle Dies], and the framing, my focal center piece was complete.  I grabbed a 5x5 card base, and stenciled on stripes, again, using the other g sale stencil I got, and adhered the circle on with SS Big Mama Foam Tape.  A bright and cheerful Hello card.
