Just Us Girls Challenge #762 - Word Week
So, the story of this card. I watched a You Tube video and saw the most genius hack ever! Using [what was currently being used in my car, for my cell phone not to slide all over the place], to using in my MISTI for adhering un-adhered wood based stamps! [I use to use double sided tape, which really wasn't to good - the sticky got all over my MISTI - a hug mess]. Check this out:
I was SO IMPRESSED with this hack, that I ordered a 5 pack from Amazon for like $5! You can also cut this mat if you want it smaller - you can use it to hold ink pads on your desktop, you can put one [back in] your car! The list is crazy. (No affiliated, just sharing a terrific hack!)
Now, back to my card. You would of thought this card was easy peasy to make - HA! This is the 3rd try, and yep, there is a smudge at the bottom and I don't care - 3 times is my limit :)
I do like the finished [very CAS] result, but the best part, was being able to use my SU stamps that I have had for like 25+ years! This hack will be a game changer for me.
Sorry I rambled, I just wanted to share. So, it's your turn to play along. Just upload your card over at JUGS #762 showing how Friend inspired you~

Happy Little Stampers June Stencil Challenge

This challenge is so easy - I do love that. Don't have any stencils? No worries - make your own! Like I said, it's such an easy challenge :)
For this month, I did use an actual stencil - retired from CAS-ual Fridays - for my background, using different colors and blending along the way.
I then grabbed some older Stampin Up stamps, inked, spritzed, and stamped for a faux water color. The sentiment is also retired from Happy Little Stampers. Yes, I'm going to say 90% of my stamps and products are retired. That said, there is a lot of "new" images that I can come really close to in using. I'm happy with that! Do you buy "new" or use what you have? [Curious minds want to know :)]
Okay, your turn! Come on over to the Happy Little Stampers June Stencil Challenge and play along. You have all month, and no limits to uploads either.

Addicted to CAS Challenge - Spring
It's good to be back! This was a long break, and I was missing this challenge!
I like Spring time cards - they are very cheerful. I used a Stampin Up set; Best Blossoms, along with a sentiment from Inspired By Stamping, Cherry Blossoms.
A few months back, Catherine Pooler inks were all the rage. I have some, [Mini Ink Pads; Life of the Party set], and since this image was solid, I used them. I can say, I was impressed. This was stamped one time, and the images came out really covered. [My stamps are so old, they are still on wood, so realigning is more work then I want to do - as is removing them from the wood block and using my MISTI. Yes I'll admit it, I can be a lazy stamper. 😏] Overall, this card fits the challenge; CAS and a cheerful Springtime card.
Your turn! Come on back to Addicted to CAS and join in the fun with your Spring card!

Just Us Girls Challenge #672 - CAS Card Week
I wanted to make some baby thank you cards for the future [yep, they are engaged] daughter-in-law, and this challenge was perfect!
Look at those fun tiny feet! I think this is a perfect thank you card for a new mom. [I'm just hoping she uses them! This generation....they are different from mine ;)]. I used a Stampin Up set, I'm here.
Your turn! Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge and show us your 1/3 CAS card!

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Things in a Garden
For this challenge, I went deep into my closet for a really old Stampin Up set, Embrace Life. I really love SU images, I just don't use them very often! That said, they worked perfectly for some flowers in a garden
A different style of card for me, but feedback I got said "I like it, go with it" - so, I am. I had plans to sponge the background, but didn't have any daubers [I was at a friend's house] so I just went direct to paper. It gives a different look for sure. [Yes, it's growing on me].
Your turn! Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along. While the things in a garden is an option, being a birthday is not. Have fun!

Inkspirational #275 - Peace on Earth #25
I'm joining in a couple of challenges today. I'm getting ready to head out on a [much needed] vacation so this will be the last for a little bit. That said, the challenges were fun!
I'm starting with Inkspirational Challenge #275; stencils. This is my second card for this challenge, but the stencil is a popular tool! [I uploaded the wrong card to the challenge. Good grief - this card is the correct one]
-----------------------------------------------
Going on to Peace on Earth #25; a moodboard. I do love a good mb :)
I wanted to practice my snow banks - how did I do? I used Stampin Up classic Lovely As A Tree. This is a beautiful set. I took the image off the wood base so I could use my MISTI for stamping it. The reason it looks "faded" is the glitter I added, which looks good in real life, but not so much in the photo. Sheesh. The sentiment is also from the Waffle Flower Wonderful Christmas Combo.
Thanks Challenges!

Just Us Girls Challenge #648 - Word Challenge
I used the Reverse Confetti Circle of Waves Die for my background, and the mitten from [retired] Spellbinders. I used an embossing folder from Stampin Up for the "basket" texture. [so fun!]

A Fun Week-end
I took some time this week-end to join in a few challenges. First off, I am entering into Simply Less Is More #463; One Layer Card/ Off Center, Freshly Made Sketches #532, MFT Slimline April Challenge; Baby
So, I started by making a mini slimline card base, and then I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
Even though the "panel" is centered, [LIM is a One Layer Card/Offset], I'm hoping I am offset on the sponged panel enough. Probably not, but this is a OLC at least, and it definitely is a baby card.
----------------------------------------
I went on to play in the Color Throwdown Challenge #689; Orange, Pink, Green. I wasn't going to join, but then I was so inspired by this card, that I changed my mind.
I'm glad I did! [Being thrilled with this is an understatement]. I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Cling Stamp Set. I stamped the images in a neutral color, and then used Copics to color the flowers. Once done, I brushed on ink [for more depth]. Probably my first [semi close] no line coloring.
I used a sentiment from a retired MFT stamp set; Simply Fabulous Sayings. Yep, I love this card! [Thanks so much Trina for the inspiration!!]
Another successful week-end~
Thanks Challenges - I had fun.
