The Male Room Challenge #201 - Universe

This is going to be a fabulous gallery!

I had so much fun making this card! I water colored my "universe" and stenciled the moon.

Found the perfect sentiment and this fabulous card was done!

My son is potentially up for a new adventure - this card will work perfectly!

Your turn!  Come on over to The Male Room Challenge #201 and play along.
You have all month to join in.

Just Us Girls Challenge #572 - Color Challenge

This is going to be a pretty gallery this week!

I have a niece who's hitting the teen years.  She isn't a girly girl, so this generic design will work perfectly for her!  I hope she enjoys it.

The curvy background is hand drawn and water colored. The 2 layered 13 was made with a cutter, and the sentiment is computer generated.  No companies products at all.  That said, I think this card still works perfectly! :)

Your turn.  Come on over to JUGS Challenge and show us how you use rainbow colors on your card.

Playing with Watercolor

I [once again] watched a video by Jennifer McGuire [Watercolor for Non-Watercolorers], and naturally, I had to try it out.

I used a stamp set from Simon Says; More Spring Flowers [and matching dies].

 The Hello is Avery Elle.

I have to say, this watercoloring was really easy! :)

Thanks Jennifer for being such an inspiration! :)

Just Us Girls #424 - Color Week

Oh my - I sure love these colors together!

I went with water coloring.

Once the paper was dry,  I stamped, and embossed the Painted Thank You from Concord & 9th, and finally, I used my newest Sunshine Embossing Folder from Ali.  I also added some Sparkling Clear Dots from Kat's Scrapiness.

Okay, your turn!  How do you see using the colors?  Show us your stuff over on the Just Us Girls Blog

A New Challenge [for me]

I found a challenge in Bloglovin that I was instantly inspired by.  I have said this before, but it needs saying again, a "card" doesn't usually come to my mind.  When it does, as in today's 2 cards, I jump up and go create.  [I need to take advantage of my short brain retention :).]

The challenge is BE Inspired #53 over at The Alley Way.  You need to use at least 1 TAW image and fortunately for me, they have a few digis you can use.

Yep, these are the digis I used.  I love that the star looks like a die cut!  I used Laura Basson's water color technique, ink up an acrylic pad, spritz with water, and stamp onto water color paper.  I LOVE THIS EFFECT!!  I used the rough side of my water color paper to get the textured look.  I am also entering this into the Just Add Ink Challenge; water coloring.

I then went on to create another card.  Again, this popped into my mind.  [Really, I can't tell you how I love it when an idea actually comes to my mind!]

I love this card too!  So clean and bright.  [I do have to say it does remind me of Ardyth's stunning creations.]

I had such a fun time with this challenge!  Ink to paper that works! :)

I am also, once again, playing around with my photography. I really like the blurred background that [my idol] Debby Hughes creates.  I haven't gotten there yet...

Stampin B's 109

This week over at Stampin B's, Faith has challenged us to use flower soft, liquid applique or glitter.  I really cheated and used glittered brads - hey there's glitter! :)  This is a sneak peek of Mark's Finest Papers May set Big Boy Toys.  If you are looking for a masculine stamp set, you will love this one! (Released next Tuesday) This is my first ever watercolor!  I so love the look [of all the artists in blogland] of watercoloring.  Not to bad for a first attempt.  Unfortunately for my red stamp pad, I had forgotten I had glimmer mist in my water brush (!) - shoot.  My red is shimmering at me now.  I am also trying to use my designer paper -- I went and bought 3 (!) more books - I did this why?????????? Oh I know - I'M ADDICTED TO COLLECTING STAMP STUFF~ can you relate? :)
Pop on over to the Stampin B's and join in the challenge~
