Happy Little Stampers December Water Color Challenge - Anything Goes

Going out with a bang for the last ever HLS Watercolor Challenge.  Easy peasy!

After I made this card, it dawned on me, maybe I should of made a sympathy card.  I will miss this challenge. 😞  Hopefully by the time this posts, maybe someone will step up to continue this challenge site.

For my card today, I added some paint to a stamp, spritzed it with water, and pushed onto a card panel.  After I had done the same technique to a few other panels, I tore them up for a collage background.

I added the sentiment, and for a pop of contrast color, added a couple of red dots.  Yep, I am happy with this end result.

Your turn!  Come on over and play in the final challenge of Happy Little Stampers Water Color.  I'm looking forward to seeing the last ever gallery.

Happy Little Stampers November Water Color Challenge

I definitely went full water color this month!  I also embossed the flower image outline with Versafine Ink and Ranger Clear Embossing Powder.  I used the lovely Woodware Gardenia stamp image.  [On a side note, I am impressed with these images, and the lower price point!]

This image is so easy to water color!  Since I pretty much am awful at water coloring, I feel like I did okay with this one.  Possibly needs a little more "depth" adding, but it still works.

The Simon Says Sentiment Strip finishes off this card for me.

Happy Little Stampers October Water Color Challenge

There is nothing I enjoy more then a bright, fun card!  At first I thought to do a toucan bird, but, I went another route, using "tropical" colors.

As I was looking for some floral images, I came across this fun Altenew, Abstract Landscape Die.  I love how you can individually paint the different land/hills/sun cuts.  This worked perfectly using my Zig Kuretake Gansai Water Colors.

I grabbed a sentiment strip from Simon Says, and this fun card is complete.

Happy Little Stampers September Watercolor Challenge - Layers

It's time for the monthly Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge.  This month is all about layers.  For my card, I went literal.

I water colored the graphic image [Kuretake Gansai Tambi 48 COLOR Set], and then cut out a surrounding frame and popped it up with dimensional tape.  Yep, it's layered. 😉

(That said, if you look closely, you can tell I also layered the watercolors) Dual success! 😀  The Thanks is from Simon Says Big Thanks.  [This is such a classic die with that terrific font!]

Your turn!  You have all month to join in the fun!

We hope to see you over at Happy Little Stampers September Watercolor Challenge

Happy Litttle Stampers Water Color Challenge - Happy

It's never a challenge to me when it focuses around a birthday card since that is probably 95% of the cards I make.  That said, here is my card for this challenge;

The majority of my birthday cards also are the masculine feel.  The colors and images will make that happen.  I used and unbranded die [since I don't know who made this], and a soft watercolor wash.

I love this font of the HB - any idea who's this is?  I am still questioning myself on WHY I didn't keep packaging!

Your turn!  Come on over to the HLS Water Color Challenge and play along.  You have all month.

Happy Little Stampers July Water Color Challenge

I am blown away that Christmas is literally right around the corner!  Ever since I retired, time is flying by - scary fast!  Does time fly for you?

Okay, on to my card - I used some water colored background panels from STAMPlorations.  It worked rather perfectly with the Merry Christmas Word Art Die [3x layered].

The background die is an older Cherry Lynn die.

Your turn!  You have all month to join in this challenge.  You can upload your card over at Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge.

Happy Little Stampers June Watercolor Challenge - Bright

All kinds of bright water colors going on this card!

I made a water colored background panel, and then using a couple more water colored panels, I cut out the leaves and flowers [Simon Says Fab Flowers].  I'm thinking this is bright!

The sentiment is computer generated.

Your turn!  Come on over to play along in the Happy Little Stampers Water Color Challenge and show us your bright water colored card!  You have all month to play along.

Happy Little Stampers May Water Color Challenge - Flowers

For my card this month, I went with faux water coloring.  I inked up my stamp image, spritzed with water, and then stamped.

I started with a background stamp from AALL & Create, Squared Digits, using a light gray as to not overpower the flowers.  I used Gina K Watercolor Flowers Stamp Set.  These flowers worked perfectly with my faux water coloring.

Unfortunately, I am not sure who the Hello belongs to.  Just another one of my dies where I threw away the packaging. 😕

Your turn!  You have all month to play long with your water colored flowers over at Happy Little Stampers May Watercolor Challenge.

Happy Little Stampers March Water Color Challenge

I have a new Challenge Team!  This will make me utilize the many paints I have!

I thought of a bird when I saw wings, so into my [OOB] Inspired By Stamping stamps stash and I grabbed out a bird set, and a sentiment set.

This is an Australian bird; Kookabura.  Of course, I had to look it up [for colors], and gosh, I sure wouldn't mind having this bird in Arizona!  Here in Casa Grande, we have zero colored birds - it is very sad.

When I water colored the bird, I used a paper towel to take off the excess water/paint, and I really liked the end result - more realistic.  All that said, a painter I am not so the upcoming months, I am hoping I get better.  Meanwhile, this isn't awful, and I'm going with it 😀.

Now, it's your turn.  This challenge has been on a 3 month break, so I hope you join in.  I'm looking forward to seeing the gallery.  You can upload your card over on the Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge.
