CutCardStock Day

Today I used very happy colors.  This card brings smiles [IMO].

For this card I used [new to me] 100% Cotton White card stock for my base, panel, and the flower stems. This is a nice thick cardstock! For the flowers I used Classic Crest White 130#, Raspberry Ice Pink, Poodle Skirt Pink, Salt Water Blue, Indio Blue and Basis Aqua.

I'm thinking the recipient will be happy with this card.

See you next Saturday~

CutCardStock Day

Whenever I go blank to create a card, geometric is my go to.  It gives a great sample of using different colors carried by CCS, along with a fun end result.

I started with Patriotic Blue for the card base and embossed panel.  I cut the triangles using Vista Stardream Metallic, Textured Yellow Ducky, and Textured Adobo Orange, and placed them semi randomly across the panel.

Lastly, I white embossed a sentiment, and this puppy is done.  Yep, I'm happy.

See you next Saturday~

CutCardStock Day

I am not sure why I am making Christmas cards, however, my stash is growing, so there is that.

Plus, I did get a beautiful new color in from CCS - Coral. [It's like a light peach color.] Whoa it's also the metallic shimmer line, and it is very pretty!  It also worked beautifully for a Christmas card.

There is a lot going on with this card; embossing, framed arch, vellum window with stamping behind it, lots of floral die cutting and layering.  Yep, this is a one-of-a-kind card.  I think it took me over an hour to create it!  Mass producing - not so much with this style of card.

I used the following card stocks; Thick Blank Lynx A2 Pre-Folded 120# Card Base, Metallic Coral, Canvas Textured Habanero Red, Translucent Clear [Vellum], Granny Smith Apple Green, and Gum Drop Green.  I am also going to be using the Red Envelopes for mailing, and the Return Address Labels.  CCS doesn't just carry card stock!

CutCardStock Day

I received a pretty new color of cardstock in; Stardream Metallic Coral!  It's so pretty I  made a monotone card to showoff the color.

I matched the paper to the beautiful center image [STAMPlorations Ephemera], and simply just framed it! This layout works to focus on the beautiful paper, and the pretty image.

I added an appropriate sentiment, and this lovely card is complete.

See you next week~

CutCardStock Day

It's time for another CCS card!

Today I went a little different by creating a mixed media style using the card stocks.

I used the following colors:  Brilliant White, Textured Adobo, Basis Blue, Aqua, Natural Twine, and Black.  I ripped some pieces of card stock and adhered onto a seperate panel. I used some modeling paste and added some stenciling, and lastly, I tapped on some splatter.

Once that dried, I adhered on the Crow [STAMPlorations Purched Bird], and added on a cut up sentiment strip.  Yep, I can say, I am very happy with this end result.

See you next week~

I used the following colors of card stock:  Astrobright Solar Yellow and 80# Cougar White Smooth. Only 2 colors, but with the added inks, I'm very happy with the end result!

AAA Birthday Challenge #88 - Flowers - CutCardStock

This should be a popular challenge.  I think everyone loves to make floral cards.  I know I do!

It is so easy when you use pretty flower dies to make a floral card!  This is also my CutCardStock day.  I used the following colored card stock; 130# Heavy White for the card base, Salt Water, Amaranth Pink, DCS Aqua and a touch of Bright Foil Gold.

Add a little ink to the inside of the flower for depth, and you have quite a fabulous card!

Your turn.  Come on over to AAA Birthday Challenge and join in the fun with your flower card!

CutCardStock Day

I am picking up on an arch trend here in social media world.  Well, I have the dies, I can join in too!

I started with my standard, #130 Heavy White card stock for the card base.  The sturdiness! - yes please!  I had a general layout in mind, along with the dies I wanted to use, so off to choose my colors; Bright Gold Foil, Light Yellow, Sand Castle, Light Teal, and lastly, Fairway Green.

Yep, kinda happy with this end result!

See you next month~

CutCardStock Day

It's Saturday - time for my CCS day.

I used the following colors of CCS card stocks; #130 Heavy White for the card base, Textured Blue Calico, Canvas Textured Caribbean Blue, and Light Teal.  I started by inking up an embossed panel, and while searching for flowers, came across this Better Press Flower that was in my stash.  I really like the look of a simple black & white image with a colored background, so this worked perfectly.

Yes, I am very happy with this card!

See you next Saturday~

CutCardStock Day

I went with some fun bright colors on my card for today!

I started with a Spellbinders die set; Fresh Picked Daffodils [retired].  [Yeah, I didn't want to use yellow 😉. The advantage of card making.]  I used the following CCS card stocks:  Raspberry Ice, Green Curry Pearl, Caribbean Blue, and Classic Linen Solar White.

The sentiment is [a really old] Altenew set; Super Script. Retired of course.

Okay, that's it for my bright card today.  Hope you didn't need sunglasses.

It's Saturday and that means it's CCS Day!

I did some stenciling, and layering with the following colors: Aquamarine, Brilliant White, Light Yellow, Black Eclipse, and my standard, 130# White Heavy for my card base.

IMO this is kind of out of my wheelhouse, but I'm okay with it.

See you next Saturday~
