CutCardStock Day

I am picking up on an arch trend here in social media world.  Well, I have the dies, I can join in too!

I started with my standard, #130 Heavy White card stock for the card base.  The sturdiness! - yes please!  I had a general layout in mind, along with the dies I wanted to use, so off to choose my colors; Bright Gold Foil, Light Yellow, Sand Castle, Light Teal, and lastly, Fairway Green.

Yep, kinda happy with this end result!

See you next month~

CutCardStock Day

It's CutCrdStock Day. I used some more products from my previously purchased Laura Bassen Box to make this card.

I'm slowly working through this box of goodies. [I bought it 8/2024 and still haven't used everything!] This TY is from Concord & 9th.  I'm not that impressed with the font, but I wanted to at least use it once.  I did the inking an embossing folder technique - I love the subtle colored background with this technique.

So, the colors of paper I used; Astrobright Black, Classic Linen Solar White, Light Yellow, Light Teal, Textured Pearl Hummingbird Teal.  Lots of fun colors, for a fun card.

See you next week!

Just Us Girls Challenge #770 - Word Week

There are many ways to use You!

I went a digging into my "Laura's Box" - it's been a minute since I have used this box. [I purchased a box of products goodie box from Laura Bassen a few month ago.  So much product I was overwhelmed! It's about time I used something else from the box!]

I chose the Concord & 9th Squeeze the Day Die set from 2022.  This is the closest I could find, and it is very similar, Citrus Crush.  It had everything I needed for this challenge, and the card!  Win-win there.

The side panel you see?  That is packing tape, with alcohol inks on it!  I loved the idea, and actually made a few strips.  Well, no one said to use a sealant. 😏 Shoot, I had ink all over me [and the card] from pressing in down to adhere it to the card base.  I have no sealant, so the extras will be trashed.  Anyone know what type of sealant to use?.. maybe I do have some and don't realize it. [I'm good like that.]

Ok, your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #770 and show us how you inspires you!

AAA Birthday Challenge #70 - Ink Smooshing

It's my choice for this month's challenge.  Ink smooshing is fun, I hope you join in!

I went really [really] subtle!  I created a smooshed panel [using green and blue oxide inks], dried it, and stamped it, using Dare 2B Artzy, BEEutiful with matching dies.

The sentiment is is from [Laura's box] Simon Says Bold Smiles with matching dies.  The textured background is from STAMPlorations Circles All Over Cover Plate.

Okay, your turn!  You have all month to join in over at AAA Birthday #70.

Just Us Girls Challenge #760 - CASE a DT

It's the fun challenge for the JUGS Team this week.  You chose who inspires you, make a CASE, and post it.  Just be sure to let us know who you were inspired by!

For my card, I pulled out a fun set from the Laura's Box [Pink Fresh] and went to town.  All the trendy stuff created this card - stamping, matching stenciling, matching die cutting, and of course, some ink foiling of the background, and sentiment.

I do like the matching stenciling - takes the work out of hand coloring.  Would I want to do it all the time - nope.  But, for today's card - it worked.

Okay, your turn.  Come on over to JUGS #760, and show us who you were inspired by!  I'm looking forward to checking it out~

CutCardStock Day

I mailed my Christmas cards out last Monday, so I am done making them for probably 8 months.  On a side note, I did use some of the Easy Peel White Address Labels for my addresses.  Yes, they worked out perfectly!

For today's card, I was inspired by a geometrical art piece photo that I saw on Pinterest.  [I do love me some Pinterest. 😀]

My card base is Textured Indio Blue card stock.  For the panel, I used Bright White card stock, and for the hexagon shapes I used the following card stock; Textured Blue Calico, Basis Blue, Aqua, and lastly, Mirri Sparkle Red Glitter.

The fun sentiment is from my Laura Box.

I'll be back next week~

Seize the Birthday Challenge #296 - Masculine

Well I have no problem with this challenge!  80% of my cards are for males 😀

Yes, I got on the bandwagon with GKD Die Master 14.   It is rather fun to use.  The leaf images are from Pink Fresh Fall Foliage Stencil.

Leaves and dark colors - yep, that makes for a great masculine card!

Your turn.  Come on over to STB #296 Challenge and join in.  While being a masculine card is optional, being a birthday card is not~

Seize the Birthday Challenge #295 - 1 Focal

What this means is, in your card, for the focal image, use only one stamp and stamp it only once. No more stamping is allowed on the focal image. However, you are free to color it and free to do anything else with the rest of the card.

I went into my "Laura Box" and looked for a floral image.  FOUND ONE! This set is from Pretty Pink Posh, Arch Florals.  [Also available are matching stencils, and dies. It is fun to have them all match.]

I used a colorful background and kept the image black & white.  [I believe I followed the directions 😉]

My sentiment is gold foiled - it doesn't photograph well, but looks fabulous in real life!

Your turn!  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While having 1 focal image is an option, being a birthday is not.

2024 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Hop- Day 5

Only 1 card -- time isn't there to catch up.  That said, at least I got one card for the Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Hop today.

A basic card, but it will work for my x customer - turned friend.  They still go to Starbucks about 3 times a week.  This card will totally work.

The die sentiment is another goodie from Laura's Box. 😀

That's it for me today.  I still have lots to do [in my house], and have to get to it!
Hope you had a great day~

AAA Birthday Challenge #66 - Circle Shaped Card

Yep, I totally missed the "shaped" - fortunately for me, my cutter works wonders and I was able to "shape" my card!

AND, he works even better on this circle shaped card!  This guy totally makes me smile~

I did use an embossing folder, Simon Says Bubble Rings [from my Laura box], for the background that I inked up with white pigment ink.

Your turn!  Come on over to AAA Birthday Challenge #66 and show us your round birthday card.

Just Us Girls Challenge #742 - CASE a DT Week

I was fortunate enough to win/purchase a goodie box from Laura Bassen a couple of weeks ago. [Yes, I was so excited to "win" one!]  It was FILLED, I'm telling you FILLED to the brim, of stamps, dies,  hot foil plates, stencils...I can honestly say, I was overwhelmed!  All that said, today's card is made from a few of those goodies.

I started with a mini slimline base. [This is still my favorite size ever]. Using Pink Fresh Hot Foil Geo Blocks Plate and some gold foil, I made a smaller panel. [As of this writing, this plate is on sale for only $12!]  I went on to stamp and cut out Altenew's Cupped Flowers Complete Bundle.  On a side note here - I will be honest this was my 5th (!) attempt at getting these stamps lined up! [Yeah, I won't rush to use this set again. It was entirely too frustrating]

Lastly, I used Pink Fresh's Scripted Sentiment Hot Foil Plate for my sentiment and the matching die to cut it out.

Overall, this card is okay.  I don't care for the colors of the flowers [and leaves for that matter], but I was done trying to get this card up to my standard [4.5 hours was enough time spent!].  I did mail this one to Laura BTW.  (I'm still questioning that decision 😏)

I hope you try to CASE this card.  The overall is easy to copy. Please pop on over to JUGS #742, check out the other team member's cards, pick one, and play along!  It really is fun for us to see your take.
