Seize the Birthday Challenge - Sentiment on Banner

It's been years since I have used a sentiment banner!  This was fun to make.

I used some of my stashed inked/sponged panels, and cut out the happy [MFT Emmit Alphabet Die-namics - retired, but I did find them HERE]

The candle dies [??] - and the Birthday is from STAMPlorations.  Rather out of my wagon wheel, but it works!

Your turn - come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along!  While the "sentiment on a banner" is optional, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun!

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Balloons

It's my choice for this challenge.  How easy is it to make a birthday card with balloons! ;)

I started with a mini slimline - yes, I still love this style of base.  I used a couple of retired MFT balloon die-namics with colored card stock, and shaded them with Versamark, and a white gel pen.

The celebrate is from Skinny Sentiments from STAMPlorations, and the hb is retired from Happy Little Stampers.  Fun to make, fun to send.  I hope the recipient likes it :)

Your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While the balloons is an option, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun.

SCS Challenges - Color and Sketch

So, I did the Color Challenge from SCS [Splitcoast Stampers) yesterday, but didn't get it uploaded, or posted.  So, I went ahead and did the Sketch Challenge for today, and you get a dual card post!  Sounds like a win for you. 😉

Here is the Color Challenge #931

Believe it or not, my colors are closer than the photograph shows - (no surprise.)

I also used the sketch [and bonus] from a new to me challenge; Sunday Stamps #300.

I used the Wonky Stitched Dies from Kat's Mini Slimline Dies, and the word die cut is from CUTplorations.  The leaf is a retired Spellbinders.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

For my next card, I used the SCS Sketch Challenge #941. I was planning on using the colors from Color Throwdown #726, but whoops - what I saw was not the written colors.  So no-go with that challenge.

Sketch Challenge 941 - 01-18-2023-sc941.jpg

I used a die from Tim Holtz Big Greens, the flower is unbranded and the sentiment is computer generated.

Another fun day!  I'm really happy with SCS!  I love a good reason to create 😀  Thanks Challenges!

NEW Team! The Male Room Challenge

I'm thrilled to be joining this challenge team!  Since most of my cards have a masculine theme, it was a perfect fit.  Years ago, I was on this team so its great to be back~

I do love this first challenge of a Tag.  I do enjoy making tags~

I cut out the tag shape using a CUTploration tag shape out of card stock, and went from there.  I use some designer paper, stamped on it, and shaded with some distress inks for depth.  I also used a star stencil.

For added fun, I made a mini edge-less shaker portion for the butterfly's background, and filled it with a mix of sequins.  The layered butterfly is from STAMPlorations, [temporarily closed for Shery's health situation] using some matching dp to the tag base.  I added a Simon Says Sentiment Strip, along with some self made buttons I had from my stash.

I had a blast with this first team challenge. I hope you join in!  This challenge starts the first WEDNESDAY of the month, and runs all month long!  You have plenty of time to join in. You can link up HERE. I'm looking forward to seeing the gallery~

STAMPlorations New Product

Shery has been showcasing her new Colorables Ephemera quick card fronts all month long.  These new products are so fun to create with, and does make card creating a breeze when you are in a hurry to get that needed card done.  I have used these fun tools a few different ways to show you the versatility of them also.

The name of the set I am creating with today is called Vintage Bloom ATC.  Aren't these images just stunning!

I started with a shaker card layout, and I also colored the flower image using my Copics.  I used the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies to make the frame.

And I used the Blue Shimmer Shaker Blends for the "stuffing".

See what I mean about creating a card so quickly!  Easy to color, easy to put together!

For my 2nd sample, I used 2 of the card fronts [as is, no added color], and adhered them on to a card stock panel.  I added some basic framing that matched the color of the hearts, and used another ATC card to cut out the hugs, with the Hugs Word Die.

Yes, this card sure works for me. The recipient will thoroughly enjoy it I'm sure.

Lastly, I used this ATC set, as a set of ATC's, using a mix of Word Dies offered by STAMPlorations.

For the back 2 ATC's, I used Copics and lightly colored the image, and used the beautiful Flutter Zen 1 Layering Dies on both ATCs.

For the bottom 2 ATC's, I left them as is, and simply adhered the word die on top.  I love that you can use these as is, or color them.  Having a choice is a good thing. 😀

I hope you enjoyed how I used this new product.  I highly suggest you pop on over and see all the patterns that Shery has created for these super fun card fronts.  Also, you can see how the designers used their product by going to the STAMPlorations Blog.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #305

It's time for another STAMPloration Inspiration post.  Today I wanted to try a tissue paper technique that I haven't used for a long time.  I love the look of the textured end result [in real life anyway] since you can't see it in the photo. 😏

To make this coffee shaped card, I started with the Zen Coffee Cup Layering Dies.  Using the solid cup die, I covered it with some molding paste, and then crunched tissue paper over it.  I pounced on some stain colors, let it dry, and then cut out the cup shape again.  For the detail top layer, I pounced on some stain on a separate card panel, and then cut it out with the die.

Using one of the words from the Skinny Sentiments Dies, I cut and adhered onto the top of the card.

To finish off the card, I used one of the stickers from the Good Things Clear Stickers.

That's it for me today.  For more inspiration, pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see what my teamies have created.  Don't forget to leave a comment for the $15 month end gift code prize.

Just Us Girls Challenge #569 - Wild Card Week

Well, I have to be honest, masking is really the last things on my list when it come to stamping.  I seem to always mess it up  -especially the "cutting" of the mask.  That said, I did get a card completed, though as you can tell, I went real simple.

I used some post it tape for my "mask" of the leaves, and yeah, I used a die to cut the mask.  Like I said, I went simple. 😀

I used a MFT page die [retired], a cover plate, Circles All Over,  from CUTplorations, and finally, a Simon Says stamp set, Summer Garden [retired].

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #569 and show us how you mask!

STAMPlorations Inspirations #250

It's time for the STAMPlorations Inspiration.  Today I am using the fun set, After Coffee.  Even though I am retired from Starbucks [I am loving retirement BTW], I still need coffee cards.

I am in the process of remodeling my stamp room and came across this pretty cool paper. (I love that it looks water colored.) I used the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangles  for framing, and the fun big cup from the set, which I did water color.  I stamped the sentiment, and this easy card is done.

STAMPlorations Insoirations #248

It's the last STAMPlorations Inspiration of 2019.  Not sure how you feel, but this year went screamin' by for me!  Today [since it is New Year's Eve], I am welcoming in 2020.

It's going to be a great year!  I used the fun Numbers Plate Die, and the celebrate from Balloons and Banners.  I also used the flower end of Cup of Blooms #1 to stamp a background pattern.

That's it for 2019 for my creating.  Pop on over to the STAMplorations Blog to see more inspiration.  Don't forget to leave a comment for the $10 gift certificate.

STAMPlorations Inspirations #246

It's time for the STAMPlorations Inspirations #246.  Because my Christmas cards are complete, I am now making a few "card stuffers" of tags to put inside the envelope before mailing them out.  I like including a small "appreciate you gift" with some of the cards.

I used the Manila Tags Nesting Dies for the tag base, and used some washi tape for the angled background.  I then went on to cut out the deer head [Two Reindeer Metal Dies] from silver sparkle paper, and the Joyful [Christmas Sentiments] from red glitter paper. For the last, I added a few red Color Confetti ShakerBlends.

Okay, go ahead a leave a comment for the $10 monthly prize.  You can see more inspiration over on the STAMPlorations Blog too.
