CutCardStock Day

We're back for a CCS card!  Have I mentioned how much I enjoy the paper from this company?  Yes, yes I do.

Today I went with a mini slimline.

I used a fun stencil with a matching die cut - (these are pretty fun to play around with).  That said, I used Basis Navy card stock, Pearlized Textured Jet Stream Blue card stock, and Brilliant White card stock to make this card.

I sure had fun making this card!  Check out CutCardStock for an awesome choice of colors, along with awesome prices!

Just Us Girls Challenge #780 - Mood Board Week

I'm the Hostess for this challenge, and, I do love this photo I found.

As per usual, I kind of copied the photo.  [That's how I roll with mood boards.]  I was so inspired by the colors, the bright flowers that I went with that.  Interestingly enough, I found this stamp/die set [in my stash] from Pretty Pink Posh that was still in the sealed package! Yep, I have it for what 5 years?  So crazy how we "file away" product and forget we have it!  I'm glad I found it 😀

I even colored with my Copics!  It's been forever since I used those too.  I'm on a roll using my "unused" products - Yay me!

I'm also working on my photography/ staging. [It is an on-going challenge]  I want my cards to look their best. I was rather happy with both the card, and the photo.  What do you think?  I would love some feedback~

Meanwhile, I hope you are inspired by the mood board, and play along over at JUGS #780!

Seize the Birthday Challenge #295 - 1 Focal

What this means is, in your card, for the focal image, use only one stamp and stamp it only once. No more stamping is allowed on the focal image. However, you are free to color it and free to do anything else with the rest of the card.

I went into my "Laura Box" and looked for a floral image.  FOUND ONE! This set is from Pretty Pink Posh, Arch Florals.  [Also available are matching stencils, and dies. It is fun to have them all match.]

I used a colorful background and kept the image black & white.  [I believe I followed the directions 😉]

My sentiment is gold foiled - it doesn't photograph well, but looks fabulous in real life!

Your turn!  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While having 1 focal image is an option, being a birthday is not.

AAA Birthday Challenge #60 - Shaker

Who doesn't love a shaker card!  They are so fun to shake 😀.

There is also so many different ways to make a shaker card.  I used a discarded stamp packaging for my "window".  Why throw something away when it can be recycled, right?

Just for fun, I pulled out a Pretty Pink Posh; Tic Tac Toe Die [that I haven't used since I won this, what, 2 years ago? sheesh].

I put in some X & O's for the "game", and also hugs & kisses.  I added some sparkles, adhered, and added a sentiment.   Turned out to be a fun card IMO.

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to the AAA Birthday Challenge and play along.  The gallery will be a shakin 😉.

A Couple of Challenges

I do enjoy the beginning of a month - lot of fun challenges.  Today I am going to start with September's Simply Clean and Simple; use a stencil.

I used a stencil from the OOB CAS-ual Fridays, and then a polka dot stencil for a dual usage.  The background doily is a really old die from yet another OOB [out of business] company.

I think this card will help someone feel better.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also got an email from Less is More #491; anything goes.  Well I'm all in for that!

I grabbed out the fun Simon Says Layered Humming Bird Die, and went to town with color.

I swiped ink on a sratch white panel, and then cut out the shapes, and adhered them together.  I do love me some birds, and this guy? - You betcha. The flower is from Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms. To keep with color, I used some stripes, and lastly, I added a sentiment from [retired] Kelly Purkey; Aut Stamp Set.  [Ironically, this set was from SS Stamptember back in 2012!]

A fun day of crafting!  Thanks Challenges, I had fun~

Addicted to CAS Challenge #217

This should be a fun challenge.  Lots of choices for this category.

I used the cute fox from the Pretty Pink Posh Fox Friends [and matching dies], along with the Stitched Film Strip Die.

The sentiment was in my stash from I have no idea...

That's it for me.  Your turn - pop on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge and play along!

Just Us Girls Challenge #596 - Word Week

All the fields are growing like crazy around my house, so this word is perfect.

I started with a Pretty Pink Posh die and then sponged on the ink, stamped the silhouette images, and a sentiment.   Pretty easy card, right? NOT - It took me 3 times to get it right! lol

I used a Friskars stamp set [from Michaels] for the images.

Your turn.  How do you see Harvest?  Come on over to JUGS and show us!

A Couple of Challenges

When I saw the CASE card from Less is More Challenge #448, fate was speaking to me.  At my gym there is a wall picture that has 3 panels and I have been wanting to create a card similar to that.  Between these 2 inspirations, I had to join in at LIM!  Here is the card for CASEing;

Here is mine:

I started by stamping ferns from Altenew Wild Ferns and using a Pretty Pink Posh die [no name, no find] to cut the squares.  I stamped some fun images from Clearly Besotted Scribbled Flowers and fussy cut them out.

Using a birthday sentiment strip from Simon Says, this card is done.  I am very happy with the end result.

======================================================

I went  on to play in the CAS on Sunday 210 - Tiny Images.

I went digging in some unused stamp sets, and came up with a gorgeous Gina K Design set; Watercolor Flowers.  Using a DIY wreath builder, and using the smaller images, I stamped a faux wreath.

The beautiful font sentiment is from the same set.  Yep, I am very happy with this card too. ;)

Thanks Challenges - I had fun!

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Add Gold

When I saw this challenge I instantly thought of the alcohol ink [with gold foil] panels I made a few weeks ago.  Perfect.

I also grabbed out my never-before-used Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms stamp set, with matching dies. [I won these from a give-away that Lisa Elton ran on her blog months ago. I can't believe I'm just getting around to  using them!]

The gold foiling is more apparent on this photo.  I just love this effect.  So pretty and shiny IRL.  My HB is from Lawn Fawn Year Two.  I did the no blend coloring technique on the images.  I still need some more practice, but I do enjoy the fun look.  I am also entering this card into the NBUS Challenge #17 that Darnell runs.  (I don't think I have ever played in this challenge.)

Okay, I'm done.  Your turn -- Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While the add gold is optional, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun creating.

Addicted to CAS #177 - Ombre

I do love the ombre look.  So many possibilities of using it.

I sponged the background panel with the ombre technique, and then repeated it on the flowers also.  I used the Pretty Pink Posh set, Cherry Blossoms, with the matching dies.  Do the flowers look familiar?  Yep used it with my JUGS DT card too.  Hey, it was on my table [in my dining room] as my stamp room is still not put together! (I decided to remodel because WHY?  It really is a nightmare.)

Ok then - your turn.  Come on over to the Addicted to CAS Challenge and play along.  The gallery should be really pretty.

Just Us Girls Challenge #521 - Word Week

I had won this die from Pretty Pink Posh and I believe this is the first time I even used it!  (We all have stuff like that I'm sure).  I really like the cute bow in this die set.

This is also the first time I used this PPP flower set, Cherry Blossoms, with matching dies.

Your turn.  Come on over to JUGS, and show us your bow.
