Have I mentioned how much I am enjoying designing for this company? [Yes, yes I have, I know 😉] I love the card stock they carry, and their prices are just amazing!

For my card today I used the following card stocks: Textured Humming Bird Teal for the card base, Textured Caribbean Blue, Red Pepper, Textured Scottish Highlands Green, and lastly, Solar Yellow.

I just adore the texture on these papers!  I scored a few lines on the left of the card base, adhered a doily die cut, added a Spellbinders floral image, and grabbed a foiled sentiment from my stash to finish off my card.

Yep, I'm happy!

Just Us Girls Challenge #842 - Stencil Week

I do love a good anything goes challenge!

I went digging through my stencils and found one that said Use Me!  I did.

I love the deco feel of this stencil!  I added some [really old] Spellbinders Feather die cuts, along with a fun sentiment.

This puppy is done!  Yep, I am happy with this end result too.

Just Us Girls Challenge #832 - Mood Board Week

I do love me a good beach inspiration!

I knew I had surf board dies so I went digging......Yep, found em!

I started by inking up the background panel like an ocean with a cloudy day.  I even added some actual sand. 

I cut out the beach images, added some ink for depth, and adhered to the card base.  Got out my favorite Beach Sentiment set [unfortunately, this company is out of business. I get a lot of requests for who carries this] and stamped the sentiment on vellum.  I am definitely good with this card.

CutCardStock Day

I went with some fun bright colors on my card for today!

I started with a Spellbinders die set; Fresh Picked Daffodils [retired].  [Yeah, I didn't want to use yellow 😉. The advantage of card making.]  I used the following CCS card stocks:  Raspberry Ice, Green Curry Pearl, Caribbean Blue, and Classic Linen Solar White.

The sentiment is [a really old] Altenew set; Super Script. Retired of course.

Okay, that's it for my bright card today.  Hope you didn't need sunglasses.

CutCardStock Day

Gosh another month over!  Craziness.  I'm ending this month with another CutCardStock card.

I used the following colors;  Amaranth Pink, Canvas Textured Flamingo, Metallic Fairway Green, Canvas Textured Yellow Jacket, Glitter Gold, Eclipse Black, and my standard 130# Heavy White for the card base. 

I'm very happy with this card!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #306 - Postage

For this challenge I went literal by using a postage stamp.

I also used a postage die for cutting out the panel.  I used a Spellbinders Die for the fun flower, and my "stamp" is from an Elizabeth Craft Designs Paper Pad.

I didn't add a sentiment [yet] as I don't know what I will be using this one for.

AAA Birthday Challenge #84 - Washi Tape

It's been like forever since I have used this fun product!

I started by choosing a color theme, then pattern.  To show off the fabulousness, I covered an entire panel.  

I really got lucky when I found these pre-cut flowers - in the right color no less.  Score. 

Yep, gotta say, I am thrilled with this card!

CutCardStock Day

Well this is a serious change from last week's card being all black! That said, I totally am loving the use of the different colors on my card for today.

I used the following colors:  #130 Cougar White for the card base, Metallic Vista Stardream, Pop Tone Grape Jelly, and Hydrangea Purple for the Spellbinders Bold Bloomed Etched Dies for the flowers. 

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE my MAC computer.  I think this is the first time EVER that I actually got a photo of the correct colors of purple.  Yay 😀

Just Us Girls Challenge #800 - Special Week

How awesome is 800?!!  I am thrilled that JUGS is still around!

I am the Hostess for this milestone challenge!  I'm hoping by choosing anything goes we will have lots of players celebrating with us!

In keeping with JUGS being around since October 2004 [!], I used some really old products!  The die cuts are Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments - I have had these at least 15 years, and the embossed background is again, Spellbinders called Impressabilities Diamond & Stars.  These are flat metal sheets that do both embossing or letterpress!  I might have used these [I have about 5 different ones] maybe once.  I literally had to do some searching on how to use them.  I love the end result!  Are embossing folders easier?  Yes, but I had this, and I was determined to use it!

I'm totally okay with these older products!

Just Us Girls Challenge #798 - Stencil Week

I do have to say, I am really loving the scheduling that JUGS has.  It is really nice to have free rein in creating a card.  Today's card is a prime example.

Not that you can tell, but I used a framed stencil covered with a triangle stencil, so my stenciling would be centered on the card panel.  I used my new Spellbinders die set [I got on sale] and using a blending brush, inked on some Autumn colors.  

This card was very relaxing to make.  I am happy with the end result too!

CutCardStock Day

It's CCS day today. I so enjoy creating cards with the papers from this company.  [I also love to be able to say that 😉]

I purchased a few of the Spellbinders dies during their recent sale and couldn't wait to create a card using CCS card stocks!  I used the following colors; Dark Teal, Basis Aqua, Metallic Jupiter, Wild Salmon, Scottish Highlands, and Yellow Jacket.  Wow - I used a lot! 😀

But that's okay since I like this card!

Just Us Girls Challenge #783 -Word Week

I'm the Hostess for this week's challenge.  I love me some water during the Summer!

 

Rather then literally creating water, I went with a more obscure look;

I used a stencil for my "river rock" effect with embossing.  I inked over the panel to highlight the "rocks".

I cut out the shell, highlighting for some depth, and then added a sentiment with the word water.  So, overall, this card does remind me of a creek bed, but the word water also works for the challenge. 😉

Instagram Hop - Patterned Paper Party

Jane Taylor is at again!  She had created another fun hop for Instagram. This hop is the 20th of every month, and is all about using designer paper.  I have an abundance of that for sure, so I'm joining in!  I went digging, and found some pretty colored papers from Heartfelt Creations.

Using some dies, I cut the oval [Spellbinders], and retired Reverse Confetti Circle of Waves.  I used a butterfly die [Spellbinders 15 years old] to match the patterned butterfly paper background, and added a couple of gems for texture.

Rather then a birthday card, I went with a general Hello card. 

Yep, it will be fun being able to use up some of my stashed dp.
