Just Us Girls Challenge #650 - Color Week

It's starting to look a lot like Autumn!

I used a few unbranded dies to create this card.  I popped up the one flower petals, and left the other one flat.  I do love texture on cards.

I found a strip embossing folder in my stash.  [It might become my new best friend]!  I love the bottom embossing - again, lovely texture!  I think the Hello is from Technique Tuesday.

Your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #650 and show us how you used the colors.

Just Add Ink #616

Only joined in one challenge for today - Just Add Ink #616 - a sketch.

When I saw the sketch it screamed an edge-less shaker to me, so, that's what I made!  I Copic  colored Trinity Stamps Love You Bunches, and using the matching die, cut it out. [Well that's unfortunate, both these are retired!]  I off set the flowers on one edge, and adhered it to the panel.  I cut out the circle, stamped it with Technique Tuesdays Fabulous [also retired].

I wrapped the packaging around the entire panel, taped it down [leaving the top open], and filled it with pretty sequins. I closed off the top, and this shaker panel was complete. It needed something, so I added the framing onto the shaker panel, and finally adhered all to the card base.

Excellent sketch Challenge!

Global Design - Simon Says - Lawn Fawn Challenges

Once again, I took some creative time to play in a few challenges.

I'm starting with Global Design Project #352 - CASE the Designer.  The card to be CASED was right up my alley!  I do love graphic cards.

I used some Penny Black Triangle Dies and Waffle Flower Nesting Hexagon Dies for the shapes,

and a sentiment from an older Technique Tuesday stamp set. Do I love this card?  You betcha!

Because I really did like this card, I went ahead and made another one with the left over insides of the dies.  This is just a freebie, no challenge.

The sentiment strip is from Simon Says.  Not sure about the die - unbranded.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went on to play in the Simon Says Monday Challenge; Let's Go On Vacation, and the never-before-played-in [by me] Lawn Fawn Challenge #129; Fun with Food

I used the adorable Lawn Fawn set Happy Summer [with matching dies].  These little ants are so cute!  They totally make me smile, and I'm thinking they are having fun with the watermelon too.

That's all for today.  I'll be back tomorrow for a couple of more challenges.

Meanwhile, thanks challenges for today, I had fun!

Couple of Challenges

I took some time to play in a couple of challenges; A Tiny Craft (ATC) Challenge #4 - We Remember; Poppies and Peace On Earth Christmas #4 - a gorgeous mood board.

Let's start with A Tiny Craft;

I had a great time coloring in this image!  I have had this set from Technique Tuesday Budding Poppies for, well, I have no idea!  I never use it, but I really like it!  The plus, it worked perfectly on my ATC.

I also [first time] used a sentiment from Technique Tuesday My Hero. [No longer available]  Appropriate for this challenge [we remember] also.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is my Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge card.

Once again, I have had this die for years, and once again, the company is out of business.  That doesn't stop me from using it though [like every Christmas!].  I used a Simon Says Reverse Sentiment and some pretty gems from Kat Scrappiness.

I love being inspired by mood boards!

Thanks Challenges!  As usual I had fun~

Just Us Girls Challenge #600 - Word Week

I find it hard to believe we are on our 600th challenge at JUGS.  That is crazy awesome!  I am the Hostess for this challenge.  I sure hope you play along as guess what?  We have a give-a-way prize for this milestone!  You can see what it is over on the blog.

My card has 6 flowers, 6 leaves, and 6 black dots.  Yeah, I went a tad overboard.  I started with a stencil from ARTplorations, Patches Mini and Standard, and used the colors for the Color Hue Challenge; Yellow and Orange.  It's their 1 year challenge so I wanted to join in.

I used flower dies from a retired set, and then stamped and fussy cut more flowers from Technique Tuesday Petite Posies [again, retired].  My sentiment is from Simon Says Sentiments Strips.  That's my "6" card.  Oh not funny story -- those blacks dots were made with a black Per-len pen -- and guess what?  It wasn't dry, and I grabbed the card and yep - right on the dot.  I'm thinking it's not fixable.  grrr....  Glad I at least got a photo of it before I muffed it up!

Your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #600 and show us how you show 6 of anything.

Just Us Girls Challenge #573 - Photo Inspiration

The Northern lights are totally on my bucket list to go to see them! The photos I see are just incredible! (You can see what I am talking about HERE)  Since I can't go NOW, I enjoyed making a card inspired by them~

I started with swiping on greens, blues, and some purple, and then swiped black.  I used a torn  template, and sponged on thick black for the hill, and then stamped the tree images using Versafine Black ink - a totally black, black ink [that I adore!].  I splatted on some watered down white paint for the snow, and added a white embossed sentiment.

I am loving this card!

Your turn.  I hope you join in, making a Northern Lights card is really fun.  Not inspired by that, but just the colors?  Go for it!  See you over at the Just Us Girls Challenge #573~

A Few Challenges

I took some time today to join in a couple of challenges.  I started with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #441, and the color inspiration photo from Inkspirational Challenge #215.

I used an ink panel I had made [I just love making those, and of course using them!] and added a couple of flowers from Heartfelt Creations Peony Bud & Blossom [with matching dies].

The sentiment is from the retired Technique Tuesday, Amazing.

Well I had fun!  Thanks Challenges 😃

Addicted to CAS Challenge #186 - Berry

I went into my stash of older stamps, and came up with the [retired] stamp set from Gina K Designs, Sweet Strawberries.

True story, I got my DT challenges mixed up and made an ATC.  It worked out perfectly adhering it to a white card base, and WA LA - I have a CAS card.  Yep, worked for me!

The Hello is from Technique Tuesday.

Your turn.  Come on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge and play along.
It's going to be a sweet gallery :).

Just Us Girls Challenge #528 - Color Week

It's my turn to Host this week's challenge.  I see pretty cards ahead with these Spring time colors.

I created a card that was not at all what I planned in my mind.  That said, I'm still ok with the end result.

I started out with a paper color paper leaf cut out.  I [think] I got this from Loll Thompson like forever ago, and I am finally using it.  I spread some distress ink, sprayed it with water, and laid the die cut into it.  I love how it turned out!

I used some washi tape [hint of blue stripes] and cut out a circle.  My Hello is from Technique Tuesday, that I double layered with a hint of black card stock for a shadow effect.

Your turn!  I hope you come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge #528 and play along.  I'm looking forward to seeing these colors in action.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - It's just a number

This challenge is all about It's Just a Number

Perfect timing for this challenge as I needed a birthday card for my son's girlfriend.  It was a milestone birthday for her, and I love using personalized numbers for milestones.

I love how this turned out!  I used STAMPlorations Blossom Sprays #1, and the happy from Technique Tuesdays.  I used all kinds of Copics to color this gorgeous image.

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While the just a number is an option, being a birthday card is not.

Just Us Girls Challenge #501 - Color Week

The gallery should look really pretty with these colors.

I had some Technique Tuesday stamps out and saw the Budding Poppies stamp that I just had to use.

Got the colors covered, and ended up with a lovely card.  I'm good with that. :)

Your turn.  Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge #501 and play along.
