Addicted to CAS Challenge #308 - Travel

I thought about creating a card with a plane for this challenge.  However, I always use a plane for this type of challenge.  So, I went a digging into some really older stamps I have.  I found one from Innovative Stamp Creations.  [I was on the Design Team back in 2010!]. I was happy to see she is still in business!

This image is called Summer Vacation, and is perfect for this "travel" challenge (IMO).  I also used a butterfly from Clearly Besotted, and a sentiment from Tim Holtz.

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to ATCAS #308, and show us how you use travel with your card.

Seize the Birthday

The option this week -- monochromatic.

That's it for me.  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along!  Remember, while the twist is optional, it must be birthday card.  See you there~

Just Us Girls #394 - Color Week

I LOVE these colors!  The brighter the better in my mind... :)

I thought graphic, so I used the Maya Road Triangles, and the large Thank You from Concord & Nine.  I really like larger sentiment like this one.

I liked the colors so much, I even made a 2nd card using the back-in-business Clearly Besotted, Everything Changes, along with English Rose stamp sets.

Already then - your turn.  How do you see using the colors?  Come on over to the JUGS Blog and play along.  Be sure and check out my teamies cards too~

SCS Color Challenge #599

It's time for the SCS Color Challenge #599.  This week Karen came up with a pretty combo; Blushing Bride, Sky Blue and Wild Wasabi, with a dessert of glitter.

I started with using Versamark with my Simon Says Grid Background stamp, and water color washed it on some water color paper.  Using Clearly Besotted English Rose [and dies], I stamped, cut out, and layered, on my base.  I used a sentiment from MFT Simply Fabulous Sayings.  I do like these 2 layered stamps -- makes for a nice faux colored flower :).

Come on over to the SCS Color Challenge and play along.  We would love to see what you create.

A Few Challenges

Gosh the month of December is pretty quiet on the ole blog.  This works out well, as I get time to play in other challenges!

Today I am joining in at Virginia's December View Challenge - [this is her last one.  She will be taking a break]; glitter, SIP 24; anything goes, and Dies R Us 38; Christmas.  I thought I was done with my C cards, but I needed just one more......

My girlfriend just loves sparkle.  So, I covered this puppy in all kinds of glitters, and used glitter paper for the sentiment.  She will love it, [and I am covered in the stuff...] Good thing I didn't make all my cards with glitter! lol  The trees are from a punch [totally forgot who made it-- sbt], and my sentiment is from, you guessed it, Clearly Besotted.

I had fun challenges - thanks!

Stamp Ink Paper #18

Stamp Ink Paper #18 had a terrific sketch, so much so, that I instantly had a card in mind.
We all know that doesn't happen very often [with me].

I used my favorite 2015 purchase from Clearly Besotted Merry Christmas.  I adore the font this die has, and works perfectly for my card.  The ornament is from Top Dog Dies; Ornament & Tags #2, and the Christmas is from Hero Arts Holiday Sayings.

SIP Sketch Challenge 18 800

Because I used the negative die cut on my card above, it gave me a positive cut for another "free" card below. ;)  Gotta love that~

Hope you are having a crafty day!

I wanted to get my card in for the Muse: Christmas Visions #8.  Lydia was the Muse this week.

I was inspired by her colors, and the inspiration photo over at Time Out #34 with the graphic feel.  My mc is from Clearly Besotted.

More Challenges

Again, those challenges I get in my emails -- Lordy but they inspire me! :)

I am joining in The Challenge #30. It only has one of my [most] favorite color combos ever!

Awesome huh?  I totally CASED this card of Laura's - I love the way she gets such amazing sponging.  (You know the saying, the more you do something the better you get.)  I am quite happy with today's sponging.  I adore the layout of this card too.  Meanwhile I used STAMPlorations Boxed Blooms & Bold Sentiments for my sentiment, and Clearly Besotted Diagonal Stripes.

I went on to play in another new to me challenge; Get Creative Challenge #12; tag on your card

I water colored some paper, and then, cut out the Cheery Lynn Large Butterfly 2.  My tag is from a Tim Holtz Tag & Tie die, along with a sentiment from Inspired By Stamping's, Butterflies.

Just another fun day in blogland~ Thanks Challenges!
