Addicted to CAS Challenge #296 - Sweet

Many ways to interpret this! 😀

Since I am deep into the Christmas mode, I went with a sweet Christmas treat card.

I went a digging and found a fun set from Avery Elle [2016!].  The tiny muffin is adorable.

It's good thing when I get to use my [really] old stamps!

Your turn.  You can upload your "sweet" card over at Addicted to CAS Challenge.

Just Us Girls Challenge #765 - Die Week

Well, this is an easy challenge! [I like those.]  Just a reminder, this week's challenge has an additional step - a birthday card.  This challenge is not anything goes.

I went a searching and pulled out some [really] old Papertrey stamp sets and dies.  I also pulled out my Avery Elle HB die.  [I love the attached letters with this die!]

I wanted to try a stamped background, and I succeeded a little bit.  However, the colors I chose with the center and the bfly so did not work.  I re-stamped both images - die cut them out - and covered up what just didn't fly.  Since this is die week - that worked perfectly!

Blend inking up the HB, and adding black splatter finished off my card.  This sure is a different color combo for me.  I'm still on the fence...

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #765 Challenge and play along.  Just remember to use a die, and it must be a birthday card this week too.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Use Your Initials

Every time it comes to my initials I just have to chuckle.  I will usually add my middle name so its not so bad.  That said, I still came up with a card using my initials.

Violet and Dual Stenciling.

I used a die that has 2 shapes, and made my own dual stencil.  I don't have any two step stencils, but self made worked for me!

My sentiment is from an older Avery Elle sentiment stamp set.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  Using your initials is an option, being a birthday card isn't.  Have fun!

Just Us Girls Challenge #541 - Color Week

I'm the Hostess for this week's challenge.  I can't wait to see what you create with these colors.

For my card, I pulled out Simon Says Beautiful Flowers II.  I think this is only the 2nd time of using this set, and I have had it for 4 years!  How things get buried...

I used a sentiment from Avery Elle, Brushed [retired], and an embossing folder to add the background texture.

Alrighty then, your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #541 and play along.

Just Us Girls Challenge #484 - Color Week

Well these colors scream Spring!

For my card, I started by making an inked back panel.  I just adore the end results of using alcohol ink!  My flowers are from Altenew's Hennah Elements with matching dies, along with a sentiment from Avery Elle Handwritten Notes.

I'm rather loving this card! :)

Your turn.  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #484 and play along.  The gallery is going to be really pretty!

Playing in the Twofer Challenge #8

I'm so late for the Twofer Challenge #8 [1 day left], but I just noticed it was a geometrical card challenge.  I had to get into it!

I love triangles and used the fun ones from [retired] Maya Road Mini Triangle set.

I also used Avery Elle's Handwritten Notes for this sentiment.

Great Challenge Twofer!  Thanks.

Just Us Girls #440 - Trend Week

I love using stencils, especially when I use them with ink spray!

I just laid the stencil on top of the card panel, and sprayed.  Can't get much easier then that! ;)
My sentiment is from Avery Elle, Handwritten Notes.

When you spray the ink, the top of the stencil has all this extra ink on it -- perfect for that 2nd card!  Just flip over the stencil, and lay it on the card panel.

Your turn!  Get out those stencils and play along!  There are so many possibilities~
Hope to see you at Just Us Girls Challenge #440.

Seize the Birthday Challenge

It's time for the Seize the Birthday Challenge. The next 2 weeks are Anything Goes.

I needed a birthday card for a friend of mine and it worked perfectly for this challenge!  I used a bunch of MFT Die-namics from Wild Greenery and Leafy Greenery, and a sentiment from Avery Elle Handwritten Notes.  I love this color combo - I think it fits January.

Your turn!  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along with your birthday card.

Happy Little Stampers CAS & The Flower Challenge

I'm joining in a couple of challenges today; Happy Little Stampers CAS; silhouette, and The Flower Challenge; tic-tac-toe.

While cleaning up my desk the other day, I came across these fabulous die cut flower that my friend, Loll, had sent me,  [Thanks gf], and knew I had to use them in these 2 challenges [of course].  I usually think of black for silhouette, but using the white against the blue makes me happy, and also qualifies for The Flower Challenge bottom row.  I oxide ink'd the background panel, sprinkled some water, and cut out the notebook page.  My Hello is from Avery Elle.

Thanks challenges [and Loll] I had fun!

An ABC Project for Challenges

I have a friend who is leaving Arizona. She is such a pleasant person, and I am really going to miss her.  For her going away, I wanted to make her a fun project -- one that will be helpful for her to keep in touch with her friends in Arizona.

It's called a Stationary Box.  It is the perfect gift!

Isn't it fun?
I have filled it with tags [for small gifts inside the card], and of course cards, along with an address book, pen, and some scratch paper.  I just love how it opens up into a mini desk!

I am entering this project into Freshly Made Sketches #222 [front decoration layout],

AEIHeart Challenge #33; friendship [I used Laurels and Simply Said Hello], and most importantly, More Than One Score February Challenge; blue [or pink]. While they probably wanted some type of Valentine - I did use blue, and I never would of been able to make this project without my Scor- Pal!

I can't wait to give this to my friend!  I sure hope she likes it.
