It's Monday

and I have some free time!  That said, I am joining in a couple of challenges.

First off, Simon Says Monday Challenge; Spooky/Add Some Purple.  When I saw this, I knew I wanted to make a purple moon.

I used a few stencils for this card; moon, clouds, and trees.  Sure does make creating a card easy.

I stamped a few bats since this purple moon and clouds give off a "spooky feel"

===============================================

I found another challenge that is new to me, Inspiration Station #66.  I do have to say, I adore inspiration photos and mood boards.  This one was really fabulous. I am loving the bright colors and the black.

I don't usually care for the yellow, orange, red combo, but, when used against black...yes please!  I used the Simon Says Abundant Leaves Die for the background leaves, and the Simon Says Bountiful Sunflower.  The plate die is from Kat's Scrappiness; Mini Slimline Diamond Wire & Woodgrain Die. [Sadly, this is no longer available]

I just adore a bright and bold mini slimline card!  I hope my neighbors do too, as this is for them.

Thanks Challenges!  I had so.much.fun.!

Playing with Paper Players

I have been meaning to make some tags.  When I saw the Paper Players Challenge #712 - Clean & Simple, Tag Your It, I was motivated to finally make some.

The tag bases and twine are from CutCardstock. [They are on sale - $2.49 for 20!]  The tiny tree die is in my stash.  A great size for a tag.  The sentiment is from an older Hero Arts stamp set.  Gorgeous font!

Off to a great start to put on my gifts!  Thanks Paper Players for motivating me!

Cut Card Stock Day

For today, I made an ABC [Anything but a card] project to show you another [very useful] product that CCS sells; Score-Tape Premium double-sided adhesive - 27 yds.

I used the Lessebo Colors Premium Salt Water Blue Cardstock and some stashed dp to make this.

To adhere this project together I used the score tape.  I love that you can just rip the pieces off the roll rather then having to cut with scissors. It makes it so much easier [for me].

It even has it's own stand!

The video is HERE for this adorable desk calendar/post it holder [if you want to make one too].  I use projects like this for small thank you gifts over the holidays.  Everybody can use a calendar, but having a pad of post its - and a small pen - oh yes please!]

 I hope you enjoyed today's project~

Just Us Girls Challenge #749 - Mood Board Week

It's my choice for this week's challenge. Since it is getting close to Halloween I went with that type of moodboard.  Ha!  Don't get me wrong, I still do not like this "holiday" but a lot of you do!

I literally have 1 Halloween stamp set from 2015, Memory Box, Halloween Sideshow with matching dies.  I'm very surprised it is still available!  There are some very cute images in this set.  Rather then a card [that I will never mail], I made a fun candy match box holder.  I added some of the cute die cuts to the top, and it was complete.

The sentiment is also in this set.

Here is a bigger image:

Your turn. I'm hoping you are inspired by this mood board and play along over at JUGS #749.

Cut Card Stock Day

I am continuing with Christmas cards all this month.

For this card I started with the very Christmasy Astrobright Re-Entry Red 100 lb Card Stock. The heavier weight is so perfect when mailing cards.

For the center stamped panel I used Classic Crest NATURAL card stock.  These papers take ink just perfectly.

You can check out the CCS store HERE.  They do carry other products!  I will showcase a few next week!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #269 - Wood

So many ways to use wood on your project!

I went literal - a wood background using designer paper, and a branch for this cutie [Simon Says Layered Berry Bird] to sit on.

I adore this guy!  He makes me smile every time I use him!

Your turn!  How do you see using wood?  Please share with us over at Addicted to CAS Challenge #269.

Seize the Birthday Challenge #293 - Dots

I do love me some dots!

I went with a very basic birthday card.  Some designer paper with dots, and die cut images.  Yes, this was a quick [last minute] needed card.

Sometimes quick is a good thing!

Your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along!  While dots are an option, being a birthday card is not.

Just us Girls Challenge #748 - Word Week

It is that time of year!  The leaves with the changing colors - so pretty!  I sure wish I had them in my town.  The leaves go from green to ugly brown.  Very sad.

Again, I made an inked panel, and then cut out the leaves with a mixed array of dies.  Now that I look, I probably should of added more of the pretty Fall colors - oh well, this works.

Also again, I don't know who made the hb die.

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #748 and show us your take on leaves.

Cut Card Stock Day

It's the first Saturday of October, and that means it's CCS Day here on my blog [and over on Instagram].  December is right around the corner, so I am continuing with more Christmas cards.

For my card today, I started with my go-to #130 Classic CREST Recycled 100 BRIGHT WHITE card stock. I just love this heavy weight! For the framing, I used the stunning non shedding Silver Glitter Card Stock.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.  You can check out the entire line of CCS card stock HERE.
