Fusion Card Challenge and Clean and Simple on Friday #231
I was inspired by the Fusion Card Challenge photo for the At the Movies Challenge.
Rather then use film strip, or something movie, I went with a title; Dad. [It's an oldie, but goodie.]
And, like I said, I was inspired by the photo. I used up some scraps, a discontinued Sizzix stamp set, and retired MFT Letters for the red dad.
You can see how I was inspired :)!
--------------------------------------------------
I went on to join in at Clean and Simple on Friday #231; Butterflies - I am definitely liking this challenge a lot. I love CAS, and choosing topics I like.. yeah, that's a go-to for me.
I used the Freshly Made Sketch #535. I thought about coloring the butterfly [Hero Arts Antique Flowers & Butterflies], but decided against it. I like the color combo of the designer paper I used, and liked the look of the plain bfly with it, so I kept it as is. The sentiment is from Simon Says Clean Lines Everyday.
This card is for the son and daughter in-law. They are going on a huge motorcycle trip [which I mention with this post] -- Now I have a card to put the ATC's in! Perfect.
Thanks Challenges! I had a great time.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Faux or Real Stitching
I do love sewing on cards! I'm not sure why I don't do it more - oh wait! I'm too lazy to get out my sewing machine! That said, since I really wanted to do "real" stitching, I did get out my machine.
How fun is this. Just your basic straight line, but I love the texture it adds to my card. I used the fun MFT Ice Cream Cone die, along with a sentiment from Paper Smooches [OOB]. I love the font with the cute ice cream cone too.
That's it for me. Now, it's your turn! While the faux or real stitching is an option, being a birthday card is not. We hope you join in the fun!

Just Add Ink #602 & Less Is More #464
I'm joining in a couple of more challenges today. Let's start with Just Add Ink #602 - Choose 2. I came across the KatScrappiness Condensed Number Dies in my stash, and wanted to use them for my card. I love these numbers! They are so big, but still work perfectly on cards!
For my choices, I picked stenciling and embossing. I used a Dylusions stencil that I have had for years. I think I have used it once before - sheesh - and naturally, it is no longer available. However, I still loved the number portion!
I used Peacock Feathers, and Jaded Jeans Oxide inks, and sponged a top and bottom on the numbers. Then, I took my Versamark ink and smooshed that over the stencil onto the numbers. Once I had good coverage, I heat embossed them in Simon Says Clear Embossing Powder. [You can see it in the photo]. I like the texture it gives the background. I cut the happy and 55, layering both 3 times for dimension, and adhered these onto the embossed background - after I cut a square frame. This card is a 4x4.
-----------------------------------------------------
I went on to play in the Less is More Challenge #464 - Use a Tag. I have said it before, but it bears repeating - I LOVE TAGS ON CARDS! I love including a small gift when I send cards, and a tag works perfectly!
I started with a tiny die cut, added the adorable tiny hearts [layered 3 times], added some fun twine, and adhered to the middle of the card.
I knew I needed tiny sentiments, so to the rescue, Lawn Fawn Simply Winter Sentiments, and Oh Gnome. I have to say, this card totally makes me smile!
Thanks Challenges - I had fun!

Fun Challenges
Another day of challenges!
First off I am starting with Freshly Made Sketches #534 and CASology #403; Botanical.
I started by making an inked panel, then I cut it down in strips and used 3 for the sketch. I used Simon Says Etched Delicate Frond for my "botanical".
----------------------------------------------
I went on to join in AAA Birthday #37; Let's Party. I came across a sentiment that I really wanted to use, and shaker came to mind for the let's party theme! Yep - perfect.
I used the left over inked panel [from the card above] to make my favorite edge-less style shaker card.
I filled it with lots of fun sequins, and placed the sentiment on the top. I am rather pleased with this card!
Thanks Challenges -- I had a blast.

Just Us Girls Challenge #631 - Word Week
I instantly thought of a mini slimline card to go with these fun colored flowers. Kinda worked awesome [I think 😉].
I used Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge Die, along with the Mini Slimline Embossed Edge Die. [These dies do come in handy for adding layers onto a card base I must say] I found these flower images in my stash and have no idea who's they are, but I love the way they turned out. The sentiment is from a Gina K Designs stamp set, Painted Blossoms [I love the font!] I added a few sequins, and my card is done for this challenge.
As stated, I am the Hostess. I sure hope you join in at JUGS #631 with your Flower card!
Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge and Coffee Lovers Hop
The Coffee Lovers Hop starts today! It's only a company hop [not a link up]. That said, I am combining that card with the HLS Stencil Challenge.
I started by taping off an inside frame and using Super Sponsor, CAS-ual Fridays Bubbly Stencil, I sponged on some rainbow colors. [CAS-ual Fridays has 20% off entire store for this hop! No coupon needed]
Covering up the inside sponged bubbles, I used the CFS By The Beans Coffee Bean Stencil, and sponged on purple ink for a contrast. I added a cut frame to distinguish the two sections, and then I cut out the [retired] CFS To Go Cup Die to make a coffee cup and sponged around the edges with some blues. For the sleeve, I cut out a section of the background dots. [Once I adhered the cup onto the card, it covered up the cut out portion perfectly]. I added a fun sentiment from CFS Cup Refills Stamp Set.
That's it for my card for the HLS Stencil Challenge.
[You can save an additional 15% off your Cas-ual Fridays Stamps purchase [if interested] by using my code below.] Yes, it also applies to the already 20% off entire store!
Mixing stencils is a great technique - making a coffee card for the Company hop - FUN project. Meanwhile, you have all month to join in the Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge.

The Paper Players Challenge
Today I am joining in with The Paper Players Challenge #589; A Theme - Birds or Bees.
While I was searching for a die the other day, I came across this fun bird one! Obviously it was meant to be since he is perfect for this challenge!
I made a "floating" background [by using acetate popped up], and added some fun cut strips. The cute little bird worked perfectly! [I have no idea who made him]
