STAMPlorations Inspiration #238

It's STAMPlorations Day here on my blog.  I need to start off by saying the store is having difficulties [it's been down].  Hopefully by the posting of this, it will be back up.  Meanwhile, I wasn't able to link what I used for today's card.  Sorry about that.

I went with an easy card for today.  I used the candle coverplate, the deer die and the Jingle word die.

I really like the mono coverplate with the card base.  I used some pretty glitter paper for the deer and the sentiment.  Like I said, a very quick and easy card, that does pack a punch :)

To see more inspiration, pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog and check out what my teamies have made.

In case the store is up [by this time], you can use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID to save 20% off your purchase!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #170

For the longest time [I mean a really long time], I have wanted to self stamp a plaid pattern.  Today is the day! :)

Yeah, I got to keep it small, to keep my card CAS ;).  I will say it was fun to create my own plaid, and I will probably do it again [in the future].  My Huge Thanks Die is from Papertrey Ink.

Your turn.  Come on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge and play along!

Just Us Girls Challenge #509 - Trend Week

There were many ways my mind went to this challenge.  In the end, I wanted try a "wreath" type of framing.  I can't believe I have never done this look before.

I love the end result!  But then again, when you use Hero Arts products, it does help :).  I just stamped in a circle with the ferns and added in a darker leaf for the base frame.  I popped up the sentiment, and the fun flowers.  I few gems, and my card is complete.  Very easy :)

Your turn.   Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge and play along with your frame it.

CAS-ual Fridays Day

It's my day over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog, and I let you see it here too. :)

Today I used the lovely Casual Comfort stamp set.  [While it also has matching Fri-Dies, I didn't use them today.]

Using a circle die, I cut my round card base. Leaving the die intact, I sponged on the background colors.  I like the way it frames the card without having to add another layer.  Once sponged, I made another "frame" out of masking paper [for just the white ring], and stamped on the images using Versafine Onyx Black ink. [Such a gorgeous, solid inkprint for the initial stamping!]

I stamped the sentiment and cut down for dual strips, adhered onto the base with foam tape, and added some gems for "prettiness" :).  Yep, I do like this card!

While I didn't use any of the "retired stamps, you can see them all HERE.  They are now 35% off!  Yes, my 15% off stamp code works on this price also!

Seize the Birthday Challenge

This challenge is all about kids.

I went searching through my drawer of "kids" type of stamps.  I don't use this drawer often, but it came in handy for this challenge.

Isn't he adorable!  Gosh I didn't even realize I owned a dinosaur image!  He sure is cute though.  The font works well for a kids card also [I think].  I would link to what I used, but typically, they are all retired.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While "kids" is an option, being a birthday card is not.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #237

Hi all - it's STAMPlorations Inspiration on my blog today.  I made this nice and bight one for you all.

Using the A Full Heart stamp set, I did clear embossing on the heart, and then foiled it in my Minc.  I love that I can basically foil anything by using this technique.  I then colored the heart with my Copics.  I used one of the tags [from Tag #1 Nesting Dies] upside down [after using an embossing folder with it] and then stamped and adhered the sentiment, adding on a punched heart.

Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge

For this month's challenge I went with 1 ATC, but I used 3 feathers.  That works.

I used the feathers from Hero Arts, Feathers, and the background stamp is also Hero Arts, Chevron. [both are retired]

Okay, your turn.  Pop on over to the Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge and play along.

World Card Making Day Challenge with CAS-ual Fridays

In celebration of World Card Making Day, CAS-ual Fridays is running a short challenge.  It will end October 7th, and yep, there will be a prize!  You can use any stamps you want, but we would love to see CFS [if you have any].

For my card today I used my 2 favorite stamp sets; Mon Ami and Bold Wishes, along with the Trellis Cover Die.

A basic card, but I am thrilled with it.

I lighted the photo so you can see the embossed cover plate background.
It's looks very cool in real life.

Okay, your turn.  Come on over to CAS-ual Fridays Blog and play along!  Can't wait to see your card.
