Instagram July Pattered Paper Party Hop

This month's theme - Christmas

Because of the layout I used, I was able to get a 2fer card!  I like that for Christmas cards.

I love this fun candy striped paper!

And, here is the 2nd card I was able to create.  Such a win when that happens!

These cards are really very basic, and no need to explain what I did to create them.  Want to see more fun patterned paper cards?  You can click HERE to check it out.

STAMPlorations Day - NEW Simple Expressions

Introducing:

Shery has added a fun new line!  You can see them all HERE.

I'm using the Collect image. I'll be honest here - I didn't know how these stamp sets worked.  After seeing a sample I slapped my forehead. Yeah, I'm a visual learner! One image frames, and 1 image fills in.  All that said, I just used the outline image.  Fortunately, that works also! [whew!]

These sentiments work beautifully with the Blue Blooms ATCs too.  Using a postage die [from my stash], I cut up the ATCs and clustered them together.

I then gold embossed the Simple Expression on vellum.  Over on the STAMPlorations blog are many more samples [using them "correctly"] and pairing with other paper products from the store.  It is worth checking out.

While this next card doesn't use a Simple Expression, it does use the Blue Bloom ATCs.

I paired this ATC with the Skinny Sentiments.

Shery is of course offering an amazing special launch price deal:
When you purchase a Simple ExpressionsSimple Expressions stamp set, you can add one coordinating Paper Goods Pack at 40% off. Mix and match with our Card FrontsATC PacksCollage SheetsPocket Backdrops, and Ephemera Cut-Outs Sheets to build a creative toolkit that's ready for cards, journals, tags, mixed media projects, and so much more.

See you next week with more STAMPlorations!

AAA Card Challenge #319 - Color Challenge

When I saw these colors I thought of beach houses.  During our travels in the Caribbean area, colorful beach houses are quite popular.  So, why not make a card!

Apparently, I am in a serious beachy mind set!  That said, I'm kinda liking this fun card.

Your turn!  Come on over to AAA Card Challenge #319 and show us how you used the colors~

CutCardStock Day

It's Saturday - time for my CCS day.

I used the following colors of CCS card stocks; #130 Heavy White for the card base, Textured Blue Calico, Canvas Textured Caribbean Blue, and Light Teal.  I started by inking up an embossed panel, and while searching for flowers, came across this Better Press Flower that was in my stash.  I really like the look of a simple black & white image with a colored background, so this worked perfectly.

Yes, I am very happy with this card!

See you next Saturday~

Just Us Girls Challenge #832 - Mood Board Week

I do love me a good beach inspiration!

I knew I had surf board dies so I went digging......Yep, found em!

I started by inking up the background panel like an ocean with a cloudy day.  I even added some actual sand.

I cut out the beach images, added some ink for depth, and adhered to the card base.  Got out my favorite Beach Sentiment set [unfortunately, this company is out of business. I get a lot of requests for who carries this] and stamped the sentiment on vellum.  I am definitely good with this card.

Your turn.  Come on over to JUGS #832 and show us how the mood board inspired you!

STAMPlorations Day - Focus on Stickers

For this STAMPlorations day, I am focusing on some really pretty, and fun stickers.  I don't use stickers a lot, but these made such a fabulous background I had to use them.

I used the very pretty, and delicate Botanicals Backgrounds Clear Stockers for the card panel background, and the Coffee Feel Good Clear Stickers.  I think the bolder font goes really well with the floral images.

And then, for a fun focal, I used the Doodled Coffee & Tea Colorables.  Yep, no stencil coloring here!  Colored, by hand, with my Copics.

The price point for these sets of stickers is AWESOME! Botanical Backgrounds is $7.00 and you get 16 stickers [4 of each design], and the Coffee Feel Good Stickers you get 32 [!] stickers, again, for $7.00! [8 sheets of 4 different sentiments.]  Absolute amazing price.  However, that said, you can save even more with my 20% off code, plus get a free set!  To make it easy for you, you can click HERE to see ALL the different sets of the stickers offered.

See you next week~
