Just Us Girls Challenge #671 - Moodboard Week

I do love me a good moodboard! 😀
Here is a better view:
When I saw the lemons, I instantly thought of my Dare 2B Artzy stamp set - Lemon Zest.

There are matching dies to this set, I just don't have them, so I used my Scan & Cut machine.

I also used the fun Hello Die with background. I adore the font of this die!  Overall, I am happy with this cheerful, inspired card!

Your turn! Come on over to the JUGS Challenge and show us how you are inspired by the moodboard!

Just Us Girls Challenge #670 - Word Week

You can't go wrong with rainbow!

When I saw the Freshly Made Sketches #576, I thought of some scribble dies I have, [that I have never used - I won't tell you I have had them at least 5 years!], that would work quite well in rainbow colors!

Yep - worked awesomely :).

These are delicate die cuts, so I used adhesive spray for gluing... Sheesh I have it all over my hands - what I mess!  At least I like my card :).  Here is the sketch;

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Card for a Child

I love this challenge.

My great nephew is going to love this card!  It's so appropriate for him, he is 5.

I take no credit for this fun card.  I found it on Pinterest, and yep, I had to CASE it!

Just check out those teeth!  I smile every time I look at him!  I'm also entering this into the Double D March Challenge; Green.  I think he works :)

Your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  A card for a child is optional, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun!

Happy Little Stampers March Stencil Challenge

We are back!  Gosh it seems like forever since we took our break!

I saw a reel on Instagram in making our own stencil and thought I would give it a try.  It worked rather brilliantly!

I used 2 shades of Oxide blue ink, and a really old Spellbinder Label 3 die for the cut out shape.  I do like how this turned out.  Simple, but gets the point across.

I used a sentiment from [OOB] Inspired By Stamping set.

Your turn.  This challenge is always anything goes, and lasts all month.  Hopefully you can join in over at Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge.

Just Us Girls Challenge #669 - Color Week

These colors are fun together!  It's always interesting to see how the team creates with these challenges too.

I used the direct to paper with my Distress Oxide inks for the background, and used a strip embossing folder for some added texture.

I used a couple of unbranded dies for the center focal images, and a computer generated sentiment.

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #669 and show us how you are inspired to use these colors!

The Male Room Challenge #172 - Sketch

There are many ways to create with this sketch!  When you pop over to the challenge, you will see it with the Team's creations.

With mine, I used a Hero Arts Background Stamp, inked up a portion, and spritz with water, and finally, stamped it on a panel of water color paper.  I do like a good faux watercolor :).

I used my standard [for masculine cards] color combo of blue and green, using the darker shades.

I used the MFT Fish Tail Banner Die-namics, and the Hugs die-namic.  [Both are retired]

Your turn!  Come on over to The Male Room Challenge #172 and show us your masculine card using the sketch!

AAA Birthday Challenge #47 - Dots & Stripes

I do adore this combo! [It was my choice this time 😜]

I started with a [retired] MFT cover plate for the stripes, and I went really subtle with the dots -- that's the inlaid cuts I put in.

I used PTI's Birthday Wishes, and some more [retired] MFT's die-namics for the balloons.

I had fun making this card.  The end result is a lot busy for me, but it works.

Your turn!  I can't wait to see how you use dots and stripes for your birthday card!  You can upload your card over at the AAA Birthday Challenge #47.

Happy Little Stampers March Water Color Challenge

I have a new Challenge Team!  This will make me utilize the many paints I have!

I thought of a bird when I saw wings, so into my [OOB] Inspired By Stamping stamps stash and I grabbed out a bird set, and a sentiment set.

This is an Australian bird; Kookabura.  Of course, I had to look it up [for colors], and gosh, I sure wouldn't mind having this bird in Arizona!  Here in Casa Grande, we have zero colored birds - it is very sad.

When I water colored the bird, I used a paper towel to take off the excess water/paint, and I really liked the end result - more realistic.  All that said, a painter I am not so the upcoming months, I am hoping I get better.  Meanwhile, this isn't awful, and I'm going with it 😀.

Now, it's your turn.  This challenge has been on a 3 month break, so I hope you join in.  I'm looking forward to seeing the gallery.  You can upload your card over on the Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge.
