AAA Card Challenges #218 and Paper Players #597

I was out of town for a few days and I just have to say, I really missed stamping on a daily basis.  I am home again, and have been playing all day.

I started with AAA Card Challenges #218 - Sketch and [optional] Flowers.

I took a little liberty with the sketch, but really not much.  I am really enjoying this type of sketch - it makes for a lovely CAS card.

I used some unlabeled dies and images from a couple of stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping [OOB].

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went on to play in the Paper Players #597 - Sketch, and CAS on Sunday #234; Thanks.

I made an inked panel, cut out the smaller panel [using Katscrappiness Mini Slimline Dies], and with the remaining inked panel, cut out the letters for the Thanks, and glued them to a strip of vellum.

I'm thinking there is enough white space on my mini slimline card to work for CAS.

Thanks Challenges! I had fun as usual~

Dotty About Flair Hop

This is my official first post regarding Dotty About Flair, my new DT company.  You can ponder the website HERE.  I had never heard of this company [before applying for the team].  I must say the products are fun!  Adam, the owner, releases new flair every month, and it is popular!  Adding card designers is another avenue he is incorporating for his DT.  Up until now, it was only scrapbookers.

Anywoo - we will be having an Instagram Hop the 25th of every month.  You can see this month's eye candy HERE.  (I am out of town [with no internet] so my card might be late for the hop, but I will post it when I get back).  Meanwhile, since I can schedule my trusty blog, YOU get to see my card today.

See what I mean about a fun product!  I made this card especially to show just a small sample of the [many] different prints available on the flair.  So many colors available, so many prints!  [Really, you need to check out the website!]

I used the Dotty's Travels Flairs Collection.  While I usually use bright colors, the neutrals of these flairs really appealed to me, along with the graphic feel of course.  The papers are just from my stash.  Total focus is on the flairs.

As stated, the hop is on Instagram. Feel free to start following Dotty About Flair - there are amazing Designers on this team and wonderful projects!

Have fun hopping on Instagram!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #223

I went into my designer paper stash and found this perfect grid paper.  It works with the page die too [I think].

I used my new Spellbinders Bold Bloom Etched Dies for the florals.

I used the hb from the Beautiful Flowers stamp set.

That's it for my card.  Come on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge and play along!

Just Us Girls Challenge #638 - Photo Inspiration

I'm the Hostess for this week's challenge.  I do love me some beach cards!

I started by sponging on the beach, water and sky.  I cut the Kat'scrappiness Wine Not glass die in acetate to replicate glass.

My friend the lobster is from Spellbinders [retired].  I’m also entering this into Time Out Challenge #216; Tropical..

Your turn!  How does the photo inspire you?  Come on over and show us at the JUGS Challenge #638.

Heartfelt Creations June Alumni Hop

It's time again for the HFC Alumni Hop.  It's always fun to see what the Designers create for this hop.

For this month, I used the matching dies to the designer paper.  I totally love the images!  For this card, I used the Seasonal Wreath Collection Paper, with the Summer Wreaths Accents Dies.

I used the Just For You Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment.  Overall, I really like how this card turned out!  I love the pop of color with the heart and the bfly.  Yep, works for me!

Below you will find the list of Designers joining in this month's hop.  Be sure to leave your comment along the way as you could be the randomly drawn winner for the $25 gift certificate to Heartfelt Creations.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Summer Activities

The perfect time of year for this challenge :)

I made a fun little beach scene, with the surf board for the "activity".  These are from Spellbinders Surf's Up Dies.

The fun sunglasses and HB are all retired - of course.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along!  While the Summer Activities are an option, being a birthday card is not.

Just Us Girls Challenge #637 - Color Week

There is always so many ways to do a color challenge. I took the easy way this week; (self made) strips.

I watched JM's video using sentiment strips and wanted to try it.  Per course, it did work, but I struggled.  [She just makes everything look so darn easy!]  That said, I did get it to work.

I started by stamping the background with Simon Says Spring Flowers Background.  I stamped a few sentiments, and did use the Simon Says Sentiment Strip Dies. [Yes, I did use a template for stamping on the strips]. Like I said, the easy way of using the colors. 😝  The Thanks Die is also from Simon Says.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge #637, and show us how you use the colors!

CAS-ual Fridays Day

It's time for my 2nd monthly post using CAS-ual Fridays products.

I stamped the images in Memento Black, colored with Copics, and then cut out the note, adding 3 layers behind it for dimension.  [Actually, I had made 2 panels with the flower images, and cut the note from the 2nd panel.  AFTER, I realized there was no reason for the 2nd panel as I could of just cut the note from the original.  Talk about a DUH moment! LOL]

I cut a couple of masks, and then stamped the background music notes over the top. Lastly, I added a red heart.

That's it for my card today. I hope you enjoyed it!

Still More Challenges

First off, I think I need to come up with different post titles.  Any suggestions?

I'm starting off with the MFT's Sketch Challenge #598.  I went with the literal sketch.

I used MFT's Balloon Stencil, and a sentiment from Simon Says Sentiment Strips

I hand drew the string.  Easy sketch, but it still made a fun card!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I went on to play in [probably] my favorite challenge - A Tiny Craft [ATC] Challenge #10; All Things Tim.  Tim's tags are so fabulous [along with his products], that I just pulled up images and got a "feel" of his style and went with it.

I started with a self made Ranger Alcohol inked background using Citrus, Sail Boat Blue, and Watermelon, [for a pop of contrasting color], and then stamped some "media" images. I used some [really old] Spellbinders Dies with kraft paper, and then sponged on some color to "age" the die cut.

Lastly, I added a label making sentiment, which qualifies for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Add a Sentiment.

That's it for today.  Thanks Challenges!

Playing in Challenges

The weather is still crazy hot here [107+] and I'm still in my stamp room.  That said, I am playing in more challenges.

Let's start with Use Your Stuff #450 - triangles, along with Can You Handle the Pressure; embossing with a twist of birds.

I started by cutting out a triangle and embossing it.  I cut the bird, leaving it white.  [This will make a lovely sympathy card].

Lastly, I added a sentiment [Memory Box Signature Greetings], along with a few pearls.  This CAS card is done, and good for the challenges.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I went on to play in the AAA Card Challenge #217; Butterflies on 1/9th of card.

I found this perfect embossing folder for the butterfly!  [Yeah, one of those 20+ year old products] - I just hope I hit the 1/9th aspect.  I cut one of the Simon Says Sentiment Strips and kept it very simple to match the CAS card.

Again, this could be used as a sympathy card.  Into my stash it goes.

That's it for today!  Thanks Challenges!
