Just Us Girls Challenge #834 - CASE a DT Week

It's the fun time challenge for the Team.  We love seeing who inspires you to create your take!

I love bird cards, and this chubby guy makes me smile. [Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs] I also used white pigment ink with an embossing folder [stamping/inking the panel first for even more interest].  I'm sure there is some name for this technique but it's eluding me at this time.

I am rather happy with this card - Do you ever make bird cards?  Feel free to CASE mine 😉.

Your turn. Come on over to JUGS #834, check out the Team cards, pick a DT, and CASE away!  Be sure to let us know who you chose.

STAMPlorations Day - Focal Fronts

Today I am focusing on focal fronts, and clear stickers.

I started with using the Wonky Stitched Grid Texture Cover Plate Die.  I am big on background texture, and this worked perfectly for this card. [These Cover Plates are also on sale Buy 1 get 50% off 2nd one]

I went through my pre-cut/pre-colored Flowers & Coffee Focal Fronts and chose this fun "summer"  image.  While I no longer drink Frappuccinos, I certainly have had my share over the 20 years I worked there!  They are quite a fabulous summer drink.

I also used an All Things Coffee Clear Sticker for my sentiment.  Unfortunately, it got lost within the pretty colors. I should have probably adhered it to vellum first, then added it to my card (Next time 😉) It says "First drink coffee, then do stuff".

That's it for today's card.  I very happy with this summer feel card.

Instagram Embossing Folder Hop

This month is partial embossing.

I went to my friend Pinterest, found a sketch that would work well with partial embossing, and off to create.

The background and the dome both have partial embossing.  Looking at this card, it really is very basic.  That said, I'm okay with it.

Memory Box Day

It's still Christmas in July for my Memory Box day.  For some added fun, I made an edge to edge shaker card.

I used the following products for this card; Cranberry Card Stock, Pinpoint Flower Plate, Evergreen Holly Bundle Dies, and Sending Joy Timeless Script.  Since these dies come in their own envelope for storing, I used one of the die packaging for the shaker cover.

I see I missed the i tittle - whoops.  I'll have to fix that before I mail off this card.

That's it for my July cards~See you next month.

CutCardStock Day

I am picking up on an arch trend here in social media world.  Well, I have the dies, I can join in too!

I started with my standard, #130 Heavy White card stock for the card base.  The sturdiness! - yes please!  I had a general layout in mind, along with the dies I wanted to use, so off to choose my colors; Bright Gold Foil, Light Yellow, Sand Castle, Light Teal, and lastly, Fairway Green.

Yep, kinda happy with this end result!

See you next month~

Addicted to CAS Challenge #313 - Trees

I popped over to Pinterest for some inspiration.  Found it!

I was so attracted to the soft background trees and then the pop of the wonderful tree silhouette. [Memory Box Gathered Tree Trunks]. Putting it on a mini slimline - yep, I'm all about this card!

Your turn!
Come on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge #313 and show us how you use trees on your card!

Just Us Girls Challenge #833 - Stencil Week

Gotta love an anything goes stencil challenge!

I needed an 80th birthday card so I went all out on this one~

I pulled out my Better Press machine and a set from Altenew; Blossoming Bouquet Bundle. This comes with everything; press plate, stencil, embossing folder, and die.  One stop shop!

While I think "stencil" coloring is kinda cheating, you can't beat the beautiful end results!  I'm thinking the recipient will be happy with her card.

Your turn.  Come on over to JUGS #833 and show us your stenciled card.  The possibilities are endless when its anything goes~
