CAS-ual Fridays Day

It's CAS-ual Fridays day here on my blog [and over on CFS blog too].

The sale is still going on!  Only now, the remaining products are 25% off, and yes, my code works on the lowered prices too!

For today's card I used the sale set, Breathe, along with the regular priced stencil, Modern Petals.

I used my blending brushes for applying the ink on the stencil [using Distress Inks], stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, and then cut it out of the panel and mounted it on a black card stock frame.

Okay, that's it for today.  Be sure to pop on over and check out the sale items.  Once they are gone, they are gone.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #234

It's time again for the STAMPloration Inspiration.

Once again, I have gone with a stencil, doodling and big word die.

I had this geli plate panel on my desk, using the ARTploration Broken Glass Stencil, and instantly thought of doodling. [I wasn't kidding when I said it is my new addiction!]  I really using these panels as backgrounds.

Once I mounted it on a card base, I cut, sponged and adhered the Celebrate Big Word Die.

That's it for me today.  Don't forget to leave a comment for the monthly $10 gift code.  To see more inspiration, pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see what my teamies have created.

Don't forget, if you use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID you can save 20% off your purchase.

MFT Superstar Challenge & Paper Players

I figured I would play along with the MFT Superstar Challenge.  While I used MFT products, it might not be CAS enough.  That said, it will still work for a Christmas card for me to send out.

I received this MC stamp a few months ago and finally, I am using it.  I sponged on colors on the strips from the Bold Stripe Cover-Up Die-namic.  Final step was adding a few gold sequins.  I am also entering this into the Paper Players #459 - Marvelous Metallic Challenge.

Hopefully, this is CAS enough for both challenges! :)

Addicted to CAS Challenge #168 - Style

Every time I see "style" when it comes to stamps, I instantly go to City Girl!  She is such a classy, stylish chick.

When you paper piece her coat, she also shows her style. :)  [Yeah, I crack myself up]  All that aside, she is the perfect stamp for this challenge.

Your turn!  Come on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge and show us how you show "style" on your clean and simple card.

Just Us Girls Challenge #505 - Trend Week

For my card today, I used stacking die cuts on both the image, and the word.

I thought these colors would look better together.... dark gray, light gray and blue.  Problem is, the gray didn't photograph quite realistically.  Oh well - I'm going with it.  My cheers is from CUTplorations.  I used a spray adhesive for gluing my die cuts together.  So much easier with such detail.

Your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #505 and play along!

Seize the Birthday Challenge - It's just a number

This challenge is all about It's Just a Number

Perfect timing for this challenge as I needed a birthday card for my son's girlfriend.  It was a milestone birthday for her, and I love using personalized numbers for milestones.

I love how this turned out!  I used STAMPlorations Blossom Sprays #1, and the happy from Technique Tuesdays.  I used all kinds of Copics to color this gorgeous image.

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While the just a number is an option, being a birthday card is not.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #233

It's time for the STAMPlorations Inspiration.

Today I am using the stylin stencil,  Faces: Chic, along with the word die cut Brilliant.

This stencil is right up there with City Girl, as one of my favorite sets.  I just love how classy she is.

The blue background is another stencil [that is retired].  I layered the word 4 times to get some dimension.  I ombre colored the top layer to match the background.

That's it for me.  Don't forget you can use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID to save 20% off your purchase! [I get a little something, so thank you].  To see more inspiration, pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog and check out what the teamies have made.  Remember to leave a comment for the monthly prize!
