I am creating this card for the Instagram Embossing Folder Hop. The theme is the Blackout Technique. I grabbed an embossing folder, and went on to create a coffee card. There's a win.
For my first attempt I tried a yellow "blackout" - I did not like it. So, I went back to actual black, and was happy the way the sunflowers stood out. I added some yellow for a slight Spring/Summer feel.
I have had this cup die for many years - never using it. It became a goal to use it. I added some designer papers to separate the cups, and it's okay. This card will work.
You can see more Blackout Techniques over on Instagram HERE.
I used a coffee cup die that I have had for years - [AND will continue to keep until it doesn't cut no more!] I wanted a pretty cup so I used one of STAMPlorations Vintage Rose Card Fronts. I simply lined up the cup die to the "prettiness" I wanted from the card front, and cut it out. Totally worked for me. I have a pretty cup now.
I grabbed a sentiment, and this sketchy card is done!
I started by cutting a bookmark, and stenciling it with Newtons Nook Mug Stencil. I then stamped, cut, and colored [Copics] the stack of coffee cups from Newtons Nook Coffee Delights, and adhering them onto the bookmark. These Newton nook products were my prize from the last CLH.
For an added "gift", I adhered the bookmark onto a stenciled card base.
And, that my friends is it for today. See you next week~
Hey All, it's that fun time of year for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop for Sponsors! I am starting out with a card made with STAMPlorations products, as they are one of the Sponsors for this event. Let's get to my card, and more information will follow at the end of this post.
There is a $20 prize code randomly picked from comments over on the STAMPlorations Blogpost.
There will also be 3 randomly picked commenters for a $10 prize code from the STAMP Designer's blogs! [You can see those over on the STAMP blog.] The prize codes will be drawn after this hop ends.
Have fun checking out all the Sponsors and prize potential.
