Just Us Girls Challenge #837 - Mood Board Week

Whoa - I am loving this photo!

I've been seeing a lot of videos on coloring with an embossing folder so I instantly thought of this technique when I saw this mood board!

I inked up a card panel, ran it through with an embossing folder, and then using a dark green ink, swiped the debossed side.  I loved the touch of teal in the photo, so I made my bfly with that color.

I'm okay with this end result.  Could it be better?  Probably, a matter of practice apparently.  It works for this challenge.

Your turn.  Come on over to JUGS #837 and show us how you are inspired making your card!

STAMPlorations Day - Perfect Pairs

A couple of weeks ago, Shery has released more awesome products!  This new line is called Perfect Pairs, and it enables you to put together amazing, QUICK cards!

See what I mean?  Yep, less than 5 minutes to create this stunner!

And this one - maybe 6 minutes [I had to cut the circle card base 😉]
Tell me how absolutely fabulous this image is! I am in love....

I purposely picked the bright yellow card stock to go with the sentiment.  A very bright, fun card!

Check this new line over at the store!  Remember, you can use my code too~

I'll be back next week~

August Instagram ATC Hop

It's time for my favorite hop over on Instagram - ATCs.  I so enjoy making these tiny works of art.  Using scraps is another win!

This month I only made 2.  As much as I like making ATCs, I rarely use them.  They just keep growing in my stash.

I started with STAMPlorations Color Me Spring ATCs as my base.  [I had 2 left over, hence making just 2.]

I roughly added some white paint, and once that dried, I added some of my stash stickers. I do love these stickers, but again, I never use them on my cards.  Remember the saying "Use what you have"- that is my golden rule!

After stamping some faux stitching, and adding on back-stashed sentiments, these 2 ATCs were complete.

Memory Box Day

I am continuing on stocking up my Christmas card stash.  That said, even though it's August, I made a Christmas card for today's post using the new products from the Christmas Charm Release.

I started with the Scalloped Arched Frames using some dimensional tape between the layers.  Using the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock Pack, I cut out the ivy, and using the Blush Solid Core Cardstock Pack, cut out the berries.  I adhered all together, and then I adhered to the top layer of frames.

I cut out the Merry Christmas Timeless Script sentiment 3 times in white, and once in glitter, glued all together, and adhered onto a vellum backing.  I adhered that onto my card, and that my friends completes another card for my stash!

See you next week with another Christmas card~

AAA Card Challenge #321 - 1+1

I had to go really digging to find some farm images!

However, you all know me - I persevered and found a stamp set!  [I'm thinking 15 years old?  I do hoard my stamps!]

Worked out perfectly!  Will I use this card for anything? Nope.  However, I did enjoy the sentiment :).

Your turn.  Come on over to AAA Card Challenge #321 and play along with the 1+1 challenge.  Remember to keep it CAS.

CutCardStock Day

It's time for another CCS card!

Today I went a little different by creating a mixed media style using the card stocks.

I used the following colors:  Brilliant White, Textured Adobo, Basis Blue, Aqua, Natural Twine, and Black.  I ripped some pieces of card stock and adhered onto a seperate panel. I used some modeling paste and added some stenciling, and lastly, I tapped on some splatter.

Once that dried, I adhered on the Crow [STAMPlorations Purched Bird], and added on a cut up sentiment strip.  Yep, I can say, I am very happy with this end result.

See you next week~
