Seize the Birthday Challenge #288 - Tic Tac Toe

Well, this is fun.

I love making slimline cards, therefore, I chose the bottom row;

slimline, ocean theme, sentiment w/o birthday.

I only do mini slimline cards [3.5x6] because they use a normal letter size envelope, plus, I think the size is adorable.  I have been seeing large seahorses on cards, and fell in love with them.  I Googled seahorses, and came up with this fun one.  He can be sized to what you want and I made him very large.  Because of that, he was so fun to color with Copics!

I used an inked panel from my stash that went perfectly with the colors I used on him.  For more fun, I made it a shaker card.  Yep, I'm rather happy with this card.

Your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge #288 and show us what you choose to make your card from the tic tac board.

Just Us Girls challenge #737 - Anything Goes Stencil

I do have to say, this is one of our most popular challenges.  It's so easy!

I found some pretty digital papers in my files, so I printed them off.  Using a stencil and gold embossing paste I covered the paper.  I like that it is transparent.

I used an un-branded Eiffel Tower Die, and grabbed a hb from my album stash.  Complete.  Like I said, easy.

Your turn.  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #737 and show us how you use a stencil.

CutCardStock Day

As I stated last week, today is another Christmas in July card.

I used the beautiful Classic Crest Ivory card stock.  [This package comes with 50 sheets of 80#]  I used the Royal Sundance Linen 80# Emerald for the trees, and the Gold Glitter card stock for the moon.

For added fun, I splattered on some white acrylic paint for snow.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I must say, I am loving this card stock!  See you next Saturday~

Addicted to CAS Challenge #263 - Nature

This is going to be a lovely gallery!

I have had some stickers for months.  They are so pretty, and nature geared, that I used them for todays card. I think I can honestly say, I have never made a sticker only card.

That said, I sure love this end result!  Some people have the talent of coloring like this - not me. I'll take the help from companies.

Ok, your turn.  Come on over to the ATCAS Challenge #263 and show how you use nature.

Just Us Girls Challenge #736 - Photo/Moodboard Week

Very soft and pretty colors in this mood board.

I used the Flamingo stamp set from Inspired By Stamping, along with the sentiment.  I tried to capture the ocean frame - I kind of captured it. This cute flamingo worked well with the beach.

Your turn.  How does the mood board inspire you?  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #736 and play along.  I'm looking forward to seeing the gallery.

CutCardStock Day

It's Sturday, and that means it's CutCardStock day here on my blog [and over on Instagram].

Since it is July, anf half way to Christmas (!), I made a Christmas in July card.  I used the stunning Royal Sundance Linen Emerald 80# card stock. [This comes with 25 sheets of 8.5x11] It's a lovely green for Christmas.

I used some older ornament dies from my stash, and for the "decorative portion" I used the Gold Glitter 74# card stock. [This is a 10 sheet package, size 8.5x11 card stock]

I also used a texture plate for the background.  If you look close, you can see the linen texture on the card stock too.  I love that!

Okay, today is done.  I'll be back next Saturday with another Christmas in July card.  Getting a head start works for me.

Seize the Birthday Challenge #287 - Fruits

I went to my STAMPlorations stamps and grabbed the fun [retired] Layered Citrus stamp set.  [Just FYI, this set was illustrated by a fellow STB teammate - Shirley Bampton!]

I cut the images out with my Scan & Cut. I also used the [sold out] STAMPlorations Happy Birthday stamp set for the hb.  I'm also entering this into Sparkles Monthly Challenge #177 - Funny or a Pun.

That's it for my fruit birthday card -- your turn.  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and join in the fun.  While fruit is an option, being a birthday card is not.

Just Us Girls Challenge #735 - Word Week

I think everyone loves Summer - I know I do, even with the ridiculous heat we get here in Arizona!  So, back to the word - Summertime makes me think of the water, and beach.  That said, I went with the sea version of water.

I've had these fish dies like forever - I am finally using them!  (They are pretty cute.)

I used a Tim Holtz Smaller Leaves die for the "waves", and an image from an older Hero Arts set for the "seaweed".  (Yes, kinda happy with the out of the box uses.)

Your turn!  Come on over and show us how you see Summertime!  You can upload your card over on the JUGS Blog #735.

Exciting News!

I am now an official Instagram Influencer for CutCardStock!  This is exciting for me, and you, as you will see cards made out of the amazing card stock they carry!  Yes, I will still be posting the cards I make [with their product] here on my blog, and also, over on Instagram. (I don't post a lot of my cards over there.)

Okay, let's get to it.  For my card, I used the Dark Teal 8.5x11 83lb card stock.

I multi layered a coverplate (retired MFT), and then colored (Copics) and cut out the floral image (retired Trinity).

For added interest, I just partially colored the image.  The sentiment is from Memory Box Signature Greetings.

That's it for my first card.  Be sure to check out CutCardStock and see the beautiful papers offered!Meanwhile, you will be able to see a new creation every Saturday - here on my blog, and over on Instagram.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #262 - Summer

This is a popular theme with a lot of my challenge teams.  That's okay - I like Summer 😀

I used more "Summer" colors then say a beach theme or something I always create.  By bringing in the anchor and [the so fun] sunglasses, it says Summer to me.  [Anyone know who makes these glasses?  For the life of me - I can not remember.]

I do like the graphic feel of this card too.  So, bottom line, I'm happy this card.

Okay, your turn.  Come on over to the Addicted to CAS Challenge #262, and show us what Summer means to you.

Just Us Girls Challenge #734 - Color Week

These colors are so pretty together.  Especially when using flowers!

I got these lovelies a few weeks ago - a FREE download from Pajama Crafter Stamps; Joy Wilson. I'm not sure it is still available, but there are like 8 pages of free images!  I do like free.

I colored the images with Copics, and used my Scan & Cut to cut them out.  I don't remember who the Hello is from.

Your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS #734 Challenge and play along.  I can't wait to see the gallery!
