Addicted to CAS Challenge #181 - Texture

It's time for the Addicted to CAS Challenge.  This week is all about texture.  I made an easy card, and yep, it has texture.

I cut out 2 leaves, reran them through my machine to add the embossed texture, and then I also made them form upward for even more texture -- all the while, keeping my card CAS.

Your turn!  Come on over to Addicted By CAS Challenge and play along!  Can't wait to see how you use texture.

Just Us Girls Challenge #529 - Photo Inspiration Week

Gotta love a beautiful Spring photo, right?

Here is my inspired card.  I used a set from (OOB) Inspired By Stamping, Cherry Blossoms.

While Cherry Blssoms are usually pink, I go with what I need, so red works. :)

Your turn.  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge and show us how you are inspired!

Heartfelt Creations March Alumni Hop

It's time for the HFC Alumni Hop.  This month I am so thrilled with my [SO EASY] card!

I used the beautiful in-house designer paper from the Blazing Poppy Collection Paper Pad, and a sentiment from Celebrate Love Sentiments stamp set.

Stunning paper! Just stunning! See the half circle background?  That is one of the new dies HFC offers called Rounded Sunlight Window Craft Dies.  This set is filled with possibilities!

That's it for me this month.  Below you will find the rest of the Designers participating in this month's hop.  Don't forget to leave a comment for the random drawn $25 gift certificate to Heartfelt Creations.

Have fun!

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Kid's Card

I don't make kid's cards very often, but this challenge gives me a stash card should I need one.  That works for me.

I went digging and found this totally fun stick figure.  I do like him :).

I also used a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Oh Gnome!.

Your turn.  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While a birthday card is required, the "kid's card" is optional.

STAMPlorations Inspirations #260

It's time for the STAMPlorations Inspiration here on the blog.  Today I made a fun tool to complete my card.

First off, here is the card:

For the images, I used the Brave One stamp set, and colored the images with Copics.

To get the even spacing of the background flowers, I DYI'd a wreath builder template. I used a square die and cut twice on a square piece of card stock.

This tool worked really well for a template, and I do like the balanced stamping it created.

That's it for today.  You can pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see what my teamies have made.  Don't forget to leave a comment for the monthly $10 gift certificate prize.  Also, if you use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID, you can save 20% off your purchase!

The Project Bin Day

It's the Project Bin Day here on my blog.  Today  I am using a new set, Wild Thing [with matching dies.] This set is soooo perfect for the riders in your life.  In my case, my step son and wife are avid riders.  This set is perfect for them!

It also makes amazing masculine cards!

Yes, a simple card, but it packs a punch with those added stripes, right? ;)

Yeah, I seriously am loving this set!

Have you checked out The Project Bin store?  There are many fabulous sentiment stamp sets for sure!

CAS-ual Fridays on Crafting of Hue

CAS-ual Fridays is a sponsor for the Crafting of Hue over on Facebook.  Yes, this is a coloring group - WOW there are some amazing colorists in this group!  Meanwhile I am posting this card [over there] and here.  Yeah, a colorist I am not, but the card still works since I did color on it :)

I used the Foxy stamp set, and fussy cut the fox image.  I used a soft gray ink for the fox, and left him as is.  I love the detail in this image - I just can't color it appropriately. LOL

I do like the background wreath a lot. :)

That's it for today.  You can save 15% off your purchase from CFS by using my code.
