CAS-ual Fridays Day

It's CAS-ual Fridays day on my blog [and over on the CFS blog too].  Today I used one of my favorite sets, Pretty Posies, along with the matching Posies Fri-Dies.

It's been awhile since I have made a shaker card.  [They really are fun to shake em].

I sponged the background circle, added some sequins and acetate, colored the images with Copics, and adhered them to the outside of the shaker circle.  Finally, I added a sentiment, and my card is complete.

That's it for me today.  Don't forget, if you use my code, you can save 15% off your purchase - including the 60% off retired sets!

A lovely color combo this week at JUGS.

So, my card base and circle are cream card stock.  It was a struggle to get it to photograph good!

STAMPlorations February Release - Day 4

Today we are featuring a 2nd set by Shery Russ Designs; Sweetly.

My cards using Sweetly;
For this card, I used the Foiled Again Mini Stencil, and partially sponged on ink for the background.

I cut out the flower arrangement, and again, colored with Copics.

I started with a sponged background with added black specks, and a stamped sentiment.

And again, I cut out the arrangement and colored with Copics.

STAMPlorations February Release - Day 3

For the final day of the STAMPlorations Release, we are featuring a set from Shery Russ Designs; Softly.  If you like flower arrangements [I know I do!], you are going to love this set!

  Here are my cards:

I started out the using the Bloomtangled 2 Cover Plate in white so that the Copic colored flower arrangement would pop.

I added  the white embossed sentiment on a piece of vellum, and this card is complete.

Using the Curly Labels/Tags Nesting Dies, I taped off the upper corner, sponged on color, and added the sentiment.

STAMPlorations February Release - Day 2

On to Day 2 of the STAMPlorations Release.  Today we are focusing on Dee's Artsy Impressions, Leafy.  Oh I do love this set!  So many fun leaves!

Just keeping a monotone color going on, which makes those lovely leaves pop!  Gotta love that.

For this one, I started with the Bubbles ARTploration Stencil, and dual sponged it.

Using a very black ink, I sponged the leaves over the top of the background, added a sentiment, and this card is done!

STAMPlorations February Release - Day 1

Hi all.  Today is the start of a 5 day release from STAMPlorations.  Very awesome sets this month for sure!

Today we are featuring The Bee's Knees stamp set; Layered Vase.  I have to say, this is my favorite set of this release.  I totally love this type of stamping!

While I colored the center flower, I used the stamps for the others.  I adore the look of loose stamping.
I also Copic colored the vase, and added a shadow.

This image also worked well as a partial stamped image.

That's it for me today.  You can pop  on over to the STAMPlorations blog to see what my Teamies have made, along with reading all about the potential prizes.  [Don't forget to leave a comment on this blog too.]

A New Design Team!

I have joined another company as a Design Team member - The Project Bin.  How fun is it to find that fun sentiment you were looking for?  This is the company for that!

Today, for my premier post, I made 2 cards, both using the newest release, Just Sayin.

For my background, I hand drew some hearts, water colored them in, and doodled them.  Instead of the panel I made, I used a heart die and cut it out.

I added the white embossed sentiments from the stamp set.  I absolutely am in love with the gorgeous mixed fonts in this fun set.

I used a post it to have an edge for my sponged "water", and a hand made circle stencil to sponge my sun.

I direct stamped the fun sentiment.  This card is perfect for my friend who is going on a Florida vacation!

I hope you like my premier.  I'll be posting at least 2 times a month with this company.  Go ahead and check out the sets that are available in The Project Bin store.  They are really fun!
