STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday

It's my 2nd Sunday for the STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday.  You can read all about it HERE.

Meanwhile, for my first project, I made a gift card holder.  Yep - they work so perfectly for gifts :).

For the gift envelope cover, I inked up a card panel with Distress Inks Pickled Raspberry, and Festive Berries.  Once blended, I laid the Peeking Dahlias Stencil over the panel, and sponged on Wilted Violet.  [It is rather a nice color combo, right?]

I cut out 2 of the Coffee Word Die, using the black one for a shadow.

For my 2nd project, I made a basic card.

I started by ombre sponging different shades of green, using the Dots All Over Stencil, and then cut the panel at an angle, and added some glitter tape.

Using Shery Russ, Cup of Blooms #1, I colored it with Copics, and cut it out using my Scan & Cut.  My sentiment is from Bloom Happy.  I do adore the background dots, along with the brightly colored flower arrangement in the fun cup.

REMEMBER;  If you use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID, you can save 20% off your purchase!
That's it for me today.  Be sure and leave a comment for the prize!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #160

My JUGS Challenge is HERE.  I'm the Hostess and I hope you play along :).

I think this is the first year in probably 5 years that I didn't actually need a graduation card.  That said, I really had to dig in my stamps to find a graduation set.  I used The Stamps of Life, Graduation2celebrate set.

I also used a sentiment from Simon Says You Can Do Anything set [discontinued], that I embssed in gold.

Your turn!  Come on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge and play along with your graduation card!

Just Us Girls #489 - Photo Inspiration Week

I'm the Hostess this week.  I sure hope you play along!!

I pulled out my Simon Says Diagonal Stencil and sponged on stripes.  I dual cut the Die-namites Sunny Flower Duo, [using the black for a shadow effect], and cut out the CAS-ual Fridays Friend Fri-die 3 times for dimension.

Okay, your turn.  Like I said above, I am the Hostess for this challenge, and I sure hope you join in!  The gallery should look amazing.  See you at JUGS.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Presents

This challenge is all about presents.

I used STAMPlorations Party Mates, along with a sentiment from Baa Baa.

I do love the pop of color with the black and white background.  What I really like is it is a neutral gender card - from kid to male or female.  Works awesome when you are in need of a last minute card.

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and show us your presents.

Dare 2B Artzy Day

It's time for the Dare 2B Artzy day here on my blog [and over on the D2BA Blog too].  Today I used the cute stamp set, Stand Tall.

I wanted to give a co-worker an encouraging card, and this tiny card worked perfectly.

I like the use of the two images. I think it goes perfectly with the statement.

CAS-ual Fridays Day

Today is a CAS-ual Fridays day here on my blog [and over there too].

Here is the finished card:

I had my gelli plate sitting on my desk, and I also needed a birthday card for my son.  That said, I felt an art journaling background would be perfect for him.

I used the following products from CAS-ual Fridays:

I also have a tiny tutorial on how I created the background:

Step 1
Cardstock, brayer, gelli pad, paint
Using the brayer, spread gelli pad with the paint.  Use very little, and start with the lightest color first.  Swipe the brayer onto your card panel.

Step 2
Lay the stencil [Starlequin] over the top of the card panel, and sponge on a different, darker color of paint.

Step 3
I took a 2nd stencil [Bold Trellis], and sprayed on some spray ink.

Once this all dried, I cut a 3.75 x 5 panel out of the part I liked best, and finished off my card by stamping the HB [Shenanigans] and adding a layered 25 from the Flower Case Alphabet stamp set.

I'm thinking he will like this card.  I know I do.

Don't forget, if you use my code, you can save 15% off your CFS products.
