Just Us Girls Challenge #754 - Moodboard Week

 Here is a bigger photo for you;

I do love a good inspiration photo!  There are so many creations to be made from this one~

I loved the cute little snowman in the board, and I knew the perfect die to use - Tim Holtz Chilly & Breezy.  [I only used one of the 2 snow people this limited set came with.]  I also picked up on the stack of presents.  I loved the red in this board.

I used a snowball die for his surroundings, and actually STAMPED a sentiment.  [It's been awhile since I have done that].  This card does make me smile.

Your turn!  How does the inspiration board inspire you?  Come on over to JUGS #754 and play along!

Seize the Birthday Challenge #282 - Off the Edge

Fun challenge for sure.  Because I mail out 99% of my cards, I kept the off-the edge on the inner front portion. [I don't like cutting off to fit in the envelope.]

I blended 3 Distress Oxide inks for the background panel.  On a separate panel I stenciled on the same colors, and then cut out the stars.

I used a sentiment from Woodware Craft, One Liners.

The stars looked a little boring, so I added some glitter to them.

At least in this close up, you can see it.

Okay, your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While off-the-edge is optional, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun.

Just Us Girls Challenge #711 - Stencil Week

This is a new challenge for us over at JUGS.  You just need to use a stencil somewhere on your card.  Everything - go for it.

I started with stenciling against the lower left corner, using 2 colors of ink.  Separately, I stamped, colored with Copics, and used my Scan & Cut, to cut out this lovely flower from Woodware, Gardenia.

I made some extra HB's with my Hot Foil Machine [a few weeks ago], and used one of those.  I am also entering this into the Inkspirational Challenge #307; Stencil.

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #711 and play along!  We are hoping this will be a popular category.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!  This might be my last card for 2023 - [unless, I get really motivated for a random challenge].  I am joining in at Simon Says Monday Challenge; Let It Snow, and Double D Challenge Winter/ Snow Scene.

I had a crafty day at a friend's house, and made this min slimline card.  I had every intention of "faux snowing" [white splatter] this, but forgot, and then I needed a last minute card, and mailed it - BEFORE adding in the snow!  There are snowflakes, so I think (hope) it will work for both challenges.

This adorable gnome is from the Woodware set; Three Gnomes. [I love that this company still has decent stamp prices. IMO this industry is getting ridiculously pricey!] He is really easy to color too.

That's it for today, and maybe [probably] the last for 2023.  It's been a great year.  I hope you all have a fabulous holiday, and I will see you in 2024!

Happy Little Stampers November Water Color Challenge

I definitely went full water color this month!  I also embossed the flower image outline with Versafine Ink and Ranger Clear Embossing Powder.  I used the lovely Woodware Gardenia stamp image.  [On a side note, I am impressed with these images, and the lower price point!]

This image is so easy to water color!  Since I pretty much am awful at water coloring, I feel like I did okay with this one.  Possibly needs a little more "depth" adding, but it still works.

The Simon Says Sentiment Strip finishes off this card for me.

Your turn!  You have all month to join in over at Happy Little Stampers Water Color.

Simon Says Monday Challenge - Christmas

Needless to say, Christmas will be here in a blink and I need to get moving making enough cards for this year.  This Simon Says Monday Challenge; Christmas is just the motivation!

To make these 2 mini Christmas cards, I used quite a few products!  The Merry is from Kat Scrappiness Large Merry Christmas.  I love how you can use just a partial of the die, and of course the font!  The background texture is also from Kat's, Mini Slimline Quilted Backdrop Die.  The big 25? - yep, Kat's again, Condensed Numbers Craft Dies.

And finally, the adorable gnome is from Woodware; Gnome FRM021.  These guys are just too fun!  Visually, and to color! Even better, Woodware has a huge selection [of gnome images], and are inexpensive!

The Merry for this one is an older Clearly Besotted, and the background panel is from Kat's, Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge.

Well, 2 down!  I'll keep plugging away and [hopefully] I will end up with enough cards for 2023~

Thanks for the motivation Simon Says - I had fun!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #247 - Mask

There are a few ways to interpret this challenge, I went with masking on my card.

I used one of my favorite Hero Arts stamp set, Antique Engravings.  I do love the butterflies in this set.  You can see how I masked off the top and bottom bfly and stamped the background one in a lighter color.

The HB is from Avery Elle.  This is an awesome die!  One piece, and very easy to color! I like that.  The background balloon is a retired stencil from MFT.  This too was so easy to work with.  Bummer it's retired.

Now, it's your turn.  You have a fortnight to play along in this challenge over at Addicted to CAS.

MFT Superstar Contest & Inkspirational Challenge #298

Hey everyone.  For today's post, I created a card for the My Favorite Things 2023 CAS Superstar Contest.  While I would love to win [the competition is fierce!], playing along is fun too.

Everything I have from MFT, at this point, is retired.  However, I read the rules, and retired products work so YAY!  I used Greenery Die-namics, Fishtail Frames, and the flowers are from Desert Bouquet [with matching die-namics]

The sentiment was from My Favorite Sentiments, that I stamped and embossed with white, on vellum.  I like my layered CAS card -- Let's hope MFT does too~

-----------------------------------------------

I went on to join in the Inkspirational Challenge; #298 Moodboard.  [My favorite type of challenge!]

When I saw the moodboard, that fuchsia pink jumped right out to me!  Here is my card:

I used a MFT mask, Rectangle Extraordinaire, sponged on 3 lovely colors of ink, removed the mask, and stamped Woodware's, Gardenia, using Versafine Black Ink. [LOVE this stuff!]

The sentiment is from one of Simon Says Sentiment Strips.  I am rather in love with this card.... 😉

Thanks Challenges.  Quite the awesome day - I do love being creative!

AAA Birthday Challenge - Anything Goes

This is going to be a popular challenge!  This site already gets a ton of players, so, anything goes, yep, crazy busy :)

I colored this beauty from Woodware; Gardenia, with my Copics.  I am totally loving this beautiful flower!  It was really fun to color too!

The HB is from ? -- I love the font of it though :)

Your turn!  You have all month to play along over at the AAA Birthday Challenge.

A Challenge for Fun

Once again, I find myself with some time on my hands [all the DT work is complete for the month].  Therefore, I get to join in some challenges.  I only did one challenge today [top of my liked list] - CAS on Friday #257 - Stripes.  I do love me some stripes.

I went digging in my dp stash, and came up with all these fun stripes.  I do love the colors for [my most needed] masculine birthday cards.

The sentiment is from the fun Woodware Word Fragments stamp set

That's it for today.  Who knows, maybe I'll find another challenge that interests me and I will be back on Sunday.  Time will tell!

Fun Challenge - CAS on Friday #247

I came across another challenge over at CAS on Friday #247; Christmas.  I just adore this challenge site - they have such great challenges!  I debated trying out for the Team, but there was a conflict with my other teams.  I was rather sad.

Meanwhile, I told you I was done with Christmas - well I needed o...n...e  m...o...r...e, and it also qualifies for this challenge.  [I do love win-wins.]

I ordered this [so fun] set from Woodward Stamps; Three Gnomes.  I only used the Santa one and just stamped, colored, and cut out 2 of him. He worked well on my mini slimline card.

I used a retired MFT cloud stencil for the sky, and an unbranded snowflake die.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Clean Line Christmas.

That's it - totally, completely done with Christmas cards - should I make any, into my stash for next year it goes!  I was pretty impressed I was only short about 6 -- not bad considering I mailed out about 40.
