Add on some clear drops, and this puppy goes into my Christmas card stash!
Thanks for stopping by~
and I have some free time! That said, I am joining in a couple of challenges.
First off, Simon Says Monday Challenge; Spooky/Add Some Purple. When I saw this, I knew I wanted to make a purple moon.
I used a few stencils for this card; moon, clouds, and trees. Sure does make creating a card easy.
I found another challenge that is new to me, Inspiration Station #66. I do have to say, I adore inspiration photos and mood boards. This one was really fabulous. I am loving the bright colors and the black.
I don't usually care for the yellow, orange, red combo, but, when used against black...yes please! I used the Simon Says Abundant Leaves Die for the background leaves, and the Simon Says Bountiful Sunflower. The plate die is from Kat's Scrappiness; Mini Slimline Diamond Wire & Woodgrain Die. [Sadly, this is no longer available]
Thanks Challenges! I had so.much.fun.!
Yes, I used the Classic CREST Recycled 100 BRIGHT WHITE 130 lb 8.5x11 Card Stock for my card base. This card stock has become a staple for ALL my card bases. I LOVE the weight!
I also used Astrobright Re-Entry Red 100 lb Card Stock 25 pack, and added some white embossing powder for faux snow. For the shadow of the MC, I used the Gold 8.5x11 Glitter 74 lb Discount Card Stock. The leaves, I used the Royal Sundance Linen 80 lb EMERALD 8.5x11 Card Stock. [This color is rather difficult to photograph accurately I must say]
I hope you enjoyed my month of CutCardStock projects! Have you checked out the store yet? I'm telling you, it's worth checking out~
I went to my challenge source - Paper Players - to check out different challenges going on. I am going with 2 new to me. Darlene & Diane have a plethora of challenges and I have never played in Word Power. The word, or sentiment must be the focal point. I can do that! Freshly Made Sketches #653 also is running a sentiment. I’m good with two challenges. 😀
I just adore this Big MC from Kat Scrappiness. This is my 3rd Christmas with using this die, and every year I love it all over again! [It's on sale right now too!]
It's a card base of my favorite size - mini slimline. While it's a basic card, it does grab your attention.
Fun D& D - Thanks for the challenge.
====================================
I went on to join in Tic Tac Toe #256. It's Bingo time and I chose Right corner diagonal to left corner.
I cut my panel size so I got a border, and layered my circle die cuts. [I used dp from my stash of stunning paper from Heartfelt Creations.] The middle was a freebie.
I needed a thank you card and this one will work perfectly!
That was a fun Bingo board - thanks challenge. You are on my list to check every month now.
Well, I was short about 15 cards for the season this year. Because I needed to get them created, addressed and mailed, I went with a basic layout. That said, I really love this basic card! I'm also entering these into the Inkspirational Challenge #304; Glitter.
I used Kat Scrappiness Large Merry Christmas Die, along with some Kat Scrappiness faux glitter paper, Teal Glitter. Very cool product - 6 different shades of teal - yes please!
Navy and gold glitter colors worked well too!
Thanks Inkspirational for the inspiration of glitter! Great challenge~
I miss being able to title my posts for the challenge I am playing in - {sigh}.
Today I am joining in at the Simon Says Monday - Trees & Simon Says Wednesday Challenges - Anything Goes. I have been busy increasing my Christmas card stash. Apparently, not joining in challenges [as much as previous years], I don't have enough cards for mailing out! That's a bummer.
Here is the Simon Says Monday Challenge - Trees
I got this cool die [who's? Got me] - and I loved the texture it gave this card! The trees are a really old Stampin Up image that I have had for years!
The sentiment strip is from Simon Says.
I pulled out my favorite Large Gnome Die to make this fun card. I love this guy - he is so versatile! The sentiment is from Waffle Flower, Wonderful Christmas Combo. [Do I love the mixed font? oh heck yes!]
I'm throwing in a 2nd card for this challenge. It's a basic, but by using Katscrappiness Large Merry Christmas Die, it makes for a great card! Again, I am in love with the font!
It's my choice for this 2 week challenge. I can't wait to see the gallery!
I went literal, inked some clouds and added the oval panel to a mini card. Literal. lol
I keep having friends ask me if I have any "kids" cards - no, no I don't. With this fun uni, now I can say yep, yep I do. :) I struggle to make "cutsie" cards, but I had fun with this image from Simon Says Magical Birthday Stamp set. The sentiment is from Poppy Stamps Art Deco Birthday Greetings [retired].
I am also addicted to mini slimline cards, and this textured background from Katscrappiness; Mini Slimline Quilted Background. I love this texture plate!
Okay, that's it for me. Pop on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along. While adding a sky is an option, being a birthday card is not. See you there~
[Well, Blogger is getting really crazy! They pulled this post for community standards. Really? WTH - I don't know what in the world the problem is - really haven't changed the way I do posting for freaking 16 years!] So, I re-titled this and hopefully this one goes through!
The Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is Christmas.Since I am rather behind is getting those cards made, this challenge worked for me! Also entering this into a new one for me, Most Magical Time of the Year Challenge #13.
I do have to say, I really enjoyed making this card, and I am really happy with the end result.
I totally used Katscrappiness products for this too: Mini Diamond Wire & Woodgrain Die, Mini Slimline Embossed Edge Die, Large Merry Christmas Die, and lastly, Uppercase Condensed Alphas.
Thanks for the motivation Simon Says!
Needless to say, Christmas will be here in a blink and I need to get moving making enough cards for this year. This Simon Says Monday Challenge; Christmas is just the motivation!
To make these 2 mini Christmas cards, I used quite a few products! The Merry is from Kat Scrappiness Large Merry Christmas. I love how you can use just a partial of the die, and of course the font! The background texture is also from Kat's, Mini Slimline Quilted Backdrop Die. The big 25? - yep, Kat's again, Condensed Numbers Craft Dies.
And finally, the adorable gnome is from Woodware; Gnome FRM021. These guys are just too fun! Visually, and to color! Even better, Woodware has a huge selection [of gnome images], and are inexpensive!
The Merry for this one is an older Clearly Besotted, and the background panel is from Kat's, Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge.
Well, 2 down! I'll keep plugging away and [hopefully] I will end up with enough cards for 2023~
Thanks for the motivation Simon Says - I had fun!
