Cardabilities Sketch #94

Hi everyone - it's my favorite time of the month - Cardabilities Sketch.  It is always such a thrill when I get my card completed -- I average close to 2 hours working on these cards.  They are such a fabulous challenge and I love that!

I am using one of our sponsor's, Chapel Road, stamp sets; Angle Dragonfly.
My sentiment is computer generated.
I hope you challenge yourself to try this sketch!  It's good for you to stretch your limits~
Also, you must check out the Cardabilities Team's samples --- wow about covers it!

NOTE:  Due to the Linky Tools major system crash (everything has been lost all over blogland) and all uploads were lost, Karan is offering a $25 gift certificate to Silhouette's Online Store plus, Creative Embellishments is offering a $25 gift certificate to their store, plus, an opportunity for 6 sets of rubber stamps from Chapel Road!  All you have to do is enter into the Rafflecopter below. 3 Challenges, 1 Card

Going through withdrawal - 2 days no stamping - AKKKKK!  I just HAD to create something!! LOL

I came cross the 411 color challenge, black and soft pink, and the C4C challenge was use bling.  The sketch is from a new site I found A Sketchy Challenge.  The advantage of surfing blogland - you find all kinds of fun challenges!  I used a cuttlebug embossing folder (to add some umph to this card) along with a really, really old stamp.... [so old I have no idea].  Another CAS card - I am just loving making these lately!  Thanks for stopping by - See ya later~~

A Little Playing

(click here for Curtain Call {Act 48})
I wanted to share this card with you!  Don't you just love it when you are THRILLED with the end result of a card?  This is the way I feel about this one.  I completely love the JUGS 51 color challenge - green and red just do it for me, then add in black and white - 0H YEAH I'm in heaven!  THEN, I found a new [to me] sketch website Stamping 411- is this a fabulous sketch or what!  Topped off with a beautiful saying (and font) from Verve (One Person) - yep - completely THRILLED with this card.  I just wanted you all to share in my happiness ---   LOL - I get so excited over successful cards.  I sure hope you like it as much as I do!  Thanks for stopping in~~

Thursday Sketch Challenge - 5/27/10 - STVSCVD13

So, this is my last sketch challenge over at STV.  It's been an amazing 3 months - I had so much fun creating sketches and sample cards to go with.  This week is rather a simple sketch, but I have been on such a CAS roll  lately, it goes along with what I wanted on my card.  Don't you just love the colors on my card - I REALLY love GKD colored cardstock.  The hue of color is just so rich and deep in color.  I used Lovely Lavendar, Fresh Asparagus, Lipstick Red and Vivid Violet along with her wonderful Heavy Base Pure White.  I have been admiring the butterfly punch being used on cards lately, so my son got me the punch for my bday (he did good huh? - I thought so!).  I used my friend the cuttlebug for some texture and GKD Picture It stamp set for the image and Inside and Out for the sentiment.
Feel free to come on over and play in my last challenge!  I would love to see you~~  Thanks for stopping by -

We do have our  "likes" -  stars, stripes, polka dots - my favorite! (and of course ovals)  On my sample I used GKD Timeless Treasure, illustrated by Theresa Momber, and also GKD Picture It.

In my travels of blogland, I came across a referral to this awesome color site called "Kuler".  I am color challenged and I am having just a blast with this site!  Ever looking for what colors to use?- check it out!  Amazing color choices - certainly ones I would never think to use but WOW what punch to your cards!

Anyway, please feel free to come on over to STV and join in the fun!  The winner receives their choice of ANY GKD stamp set 24.95 or less!  Can't hurt to play- and you might be the winner!

SCS Inspiration Challenge #228

It's time again for my favorite challenge - Inspiration for SCS. This week we chose from Crate Label Museum. I chose this label.

I used the adorable bunny from Clear Dollar Stamps - Butterfly Bunny.  My inspiration was the black and white of Fido here for my bunny.  Black copic is rather a difficult blending color - which, I thought it might be - however, you get the drift about my bunny's colors.  I used the Friend stamp from GKD Botanical Dreams.  Once again, I sure hope CDS doesn't get upset when  use another stamp with theirs - Friend was so perfect with this cute butterfly and bunny - they just scream friends!

On my card, I has started with a black base (as the inspiration photo), but it was much to stark with my cutie image, so I changed and went with mint.  Much better don't you think?  My sketch is from Taylored Expressions #109.  I thought about doing this layered technique last pm - when  saw Taylor's sketch this am I thought well HOW PERFECT is that!!  I am short one circle but I still like it~~

Ladies, I am off to create yet another card.  I have a few future projects due and  need to get creating.  Oh yeah - heads up on Monday April 19 (yep - 2 days from now), I am hosting the "Try a New Technique"  over at SCS.  Be sure to come on over and play.  My technique is going to be an easy one that I know you will have fun doing.... See you there!!

STV Sketch #7

Hi everyone - Thursday again..already - sheez.  This is my sketch and sample card for my sketch challenge over at Stamp TV.  I wasn't sure about the colors, but I was very happy with the finished card.  [Sometimes you just have to try it- LOL]  I read that kraft is the new white, and I have to agree - I adore this color!  Just like white, it goes with EVERYTHING!!

I used the GKD Picture It stamp set for this card.  I like the versatility of this set.  [I think that my butterfly is actually might be a moth.. like I said versatility - LOL.]  I also used GKD beautiful colored papers; Vibrant Violet, Fresh Asparagus and Sweet Corn with a touch of glitter on my butterfly with my Gelly Roll pen.

Feel free to come on over and join in the fun of the daily challenges at Stamp TV.  Gina is so generous that the random winner of EACH challenge wins their choice of a stamp set valued at 24.95 or less!  Hope to see you play~~  Thanks for stopping by!

SCS Color Challenge 266

Apparently SU is cleaning papers - this color challenge is using papers to be retired!  Wonder what they are coming up with?  Hmm. Anyway, colors  Blush, Cameo Coral, Ruby Red - Close to Coco for dessert, with white as my neutral.  I managed to use them all - with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #69.  My sentiment is Stampendous - this layout as usual, with Mercy's sketches makes it easy to make a fabulous card~~  Thanks for coming by~~ Bedtime for me..

SC275 & CC265 - Blooming

This is for SCS  sketch and color challenges - late for one early for another~~ but hey, I got them both done!  Color challenge was close to coco, teal, and celery.  Not sure I will use these again, but it was worth a try.. I used the new release Clear Dollar Stamp set Blooming with Blessing - this is definitely a different aspect of this set~ I started out with something else in mind and low and behold I ended up with this card.  What do you think?  I'm on the fence I think because there is no white to sponge ~~LOL.  Thanks for stopping by~~

On my sample, I used GKD Sending Sunshine  illustrated by Theresa Momber and the sentiment is also GKD Elegant Verses illustrated by Nina Brackett.  I want you to please notice I HAVE STRAIGHT STITCHES!!  OMG I so impressed myself I can't stand it!  LOL - I finally figured out to follow the paper in the foot - not to watch the needle.  I realize, if you sew, you probably know that - but I do not sew and NOW I CAN!!!  I'm so happy about that I just can't tell you!  In fact, I am so happy with my sewing that this card is also for Embellishment Magazine's challenge~ blue, pink & kraft with stitching.

Well, I must say that my nightly goal of sketches is working out really well.  This is my sketch challenge for SCS.  I like Rox's sketches.  Now that I have a plan I hope to play more regularly.  I used my new stamps from GKD,  Picture It.  There is such a nice array of stamps on this set!  How fun!  My dp paper is from K&C - it is 2 sided~~ such wonderful paper since both sides compliment each other.  Less stress for me to figure it out - LOL.  Thanks for stopping by~~

Color & Sketch Challenge

I am trying something different.  Trying to get challenges done at night and posted - it will give me more time for my DT stuff I need to do when I get home from work.  So, tonight I did Betty's color challenge over at SCS - bermuda bay, dark gray and so saffron with a neutral.  Seems strange but these colors ROCK!  I really enjoyed them.  My sketch is for Taylored Expressions #106.  Gotta get to sleep - thanks again for stopping by ~ I so appreciate your comments!!

CAS card decorated inside

This card was a really FAST CAS that I also decorated the inside.  I have to say it really does finish off the card nicely.  Problem is when I am done with the front... I am done!  LOL - [I really need to do this though!]  The colors came from Tina's color challenge over at STV - red, kraft & vanilla.  I adore these colors and I will use them again for sure!  So, this easy card covered 3 challenges - sketch, decorate the inside and color!!  WOW!  Don't you just love the insert feature~~ 2 photos in one - I LOVE this!!  Thanks for stopping by...
