Insane Saturday

I am ending the month with totally insanity or very busy day on the blog.

Starting with my last Cardabilities Sketch #118 as a DT member.  It has been a year -- a very fast year -- filled with amazing sketches!  Thanks Karen for keeping me around.  I had an amazing time creating with your sketches for players.  You will see me as a player in the future.

While Karen made her sketch a long card, I flipped it and made it tall and skinny.  With the help of a clock embossing folder, leaves from PTI Turning a New Leaf [and dies] and a sentiment from Hero Arts, Essential Messages, this card is complete, and so is my term with Cardabilites.  I also entered this into the Time Out Challenge; Round the Clock.

Again, thanks much Karen.  I fully enjoyed creating with your sketches!

Now, it's your turn!  Pop on over to Cardabilities, check out the other DT's samples, and then, play along! We do love seeing all your creations.

Next up is Just Us Girls #282 - it's my week to Hostess and here is your inspiration photo:

[A little bigger image for you]

Such a trendy card. Shakers have definitely made a come back due since super fun sequins have hit blogland.  My thanks is Lawn Fawn.

Okay people - YOUR turn.  You absolutely have no excuse not to play along; there are tons of aspects of the photo you can choose from!  Just check out what the Team did!  See you over at Just Us Girls~

And finally, Addicted to CAS;
We are being sponsored by;

I went with using distress inks, along with another trendy trend, using die cuts and popping up.  My mother in law is having her 90th birthday in March and she loves purple.  I, in turn, love this card :).  I used PTI Big Favorites #12, along with images from Hot Off the Press, Flower Silhouettes.  My die cut numbers are also from PTI, By the Numbers.  Entered this into the Uniko Challenge; Birthday.

And, as usual, it is your time to join in.  What does distress mean to you?  Whatever it is, we can't wait to see your creation over at Addicted to CAS!

Cardabilities #117 & AAA #33

I'm getting to the last couple of sketches for Cardabilities and being on the Team.  I have had a fabulous time creating with them!  I will be playing as a payer come March, that's for sure!  Meanwhile, here is my #117 sketch end result:

Lovely and bright Spring colors to cheer up all the yucky weather outside.  I used PTI Turning a New Leaf [and dies] and Rosie Posies [and dies].  [I adore these 2 sets and go to them a lot!]

Are you inspired by the sketch?  Well come on over to Cardabilities - check out the amazing team samples, and then play along!  We can't wait to see how you are inspired~

It is also AAA challenge time.  This week is all about orange and CAS.  Two awesome requirements. :)

This fun guy from GKD's Quite a Catch, makes me smile!  Isn't he just too cute?  [I added a little sand under him too].  The sentiment is from GKD Under the Sea.  [This is a sneak peek of tomorrows challenge -- last minute date change and I am traveling and can't completely change it all --  check on tomorrow for the Team samples and entering your card]

How do you "sea" orange and CAS?  However it is, come on over to AAA Card Challenge and play along!  Can't wait to see what you create!

Cardabilities #116

It's Cardabilities #116 time today.

I am having fun with self made stencils this month.  I cut a large and smaller heart [Spellbinders Hearts].  I used the large negative cut for a stencil, and then sponged the smaller die cut heart and popped it up for some depth.  My leaves are Verve and just a couple of punched flowers with added gems.

Now, it's you turn.  I highly advise you to pop on over to Cardabilities, and check out the Design Team samples -- Amazing what these ladies do with paper.  We hope to see your card entered!

I used Hero Arts Holiday Sayings for the sentiment and Brush Strokes for the splats.  I did purchase the Simon Says Stitched Rectangles - kind of love these things! :)

Cardabilities #111

The month is flying by!  I can't believe it is the 15th already and time for another fabulous sketch from Karan and oh yeah -- I get to play for another term!! This week we are being sponsored by Pickled Potpourri Digitals, and are making our sample cards with them.

I used the digi's for my background and the leaves I fussy cut out.  I used my new, super fun product, Brusho.  These paints are absolutely too fun!! The MC is from Clearly Besotted, Merry Christmas Die -- I so love the font of this die!

Here's the sketch #111

Cardabilities & i{heart}papers

It's time for Cardabilities Sketch #110 and my last post for i{heart}papers as their Guest Designer.

For my Cardabilities Sketch I used a couple of IHP products:
I also used Avery Elle Hello Elle-ments and some wood veneers I had laying in a drawer.  It's a really clean use of the sketch I have to say, but I still like my card.

I am so excited to say that Karan has approved another term for me to design with Cardabilities!  I love her sketches and am proud to do a 4th term with her team!!

And, here is my official last i{heart}papers card:

A very clean and simple card that I made using the following IHP products:

And that's a wrap a for today!  I would like to thank i{heart}papers for having me Guest Design the last couple of months!  I had a great time!

The Male Room #21 & Cardabilities

It's time again for The Male Room Challenge #21 - Halloween

I liked Halloween when I was a kid - all that candy!  Oh yeah, heaven.  Now, not so much.  Actually since I was 16 I stopped liking this holiday.  However, a card was required for this challenge, AND I have a little give a-way.  Consider it my "treat" :)

My cute little mummy is a sticker, [I never use stickers!] and I have a fun little package for one of you commenters!

With the exception of the 1 mummy I used, this set is complete.  Heck, I'll even throw in the card if you want!  Just leave me a comment and I'll randomly pick a winner at the end of this challenge, October 28th. -- WINNER: Becky

Meanwhile, come on over to The Male Room and enter a masculine Halloween card.

It is also Cardabilities Sketch #109 day.

I used products from Heartfelt Creations; Delicate Asters, Delicate Asters Dies and Classic Leaf Dies, along with HFC designer paper, Sun Kissed Collection.  My hello is from Technique Tuesday, Straight Talk.

Another fabulous sketch by Karan!  Come on over to Cardabilities and check out the rest of the Team's samples, and then play along!  We would love for you to join us~

Another crazy Monday!

It's another crazy Monday here on the ole blog.  I am starting with Cardabilities Sketch #107.  Surprisingly, I was done rather quickly with this one.

I decided to use designer paper.  Did I mention I broke my Big Shot?  Bigger then big I broke that puppy!  So bad in fact, the DH had to literally take the entire machine APART - yep every screw came out since I had dies stuck under the roller and I need my dies! :)  Anyway, I [fortunately] have a Grand Calibur as a back up.  However, it's particular --by using really thin dp I was able to at least cut 4 hexagons at once.  That saved me some time for sure.  [Yes, I scored on a new pretty blue Big Shot from Overstock.com and should have it by the time this card posts actually.]

Isn't this a fun sketch!  Karan just makes them so fun to create with.  I hope you like the sketch and pop on over to Cardabilities.  While there, be sure and check out the rest of the Team's samples - fabulous.

STAMPlorations is also starting Sketch #20 [for the next 2 weeks]

I kind of made mine a tad bigger, but the same format is there.

I used STAMPlorations Celebrate and Happy.

Come on over  to STAMPlorations Blog and play along!  We can't wait to see what you create!

And lastly, here is my Card for Monday over at A Walk Down Memory Lane Blog;

Pop on over to A Walk Down Memory Lane Blog to see the supplies used to make this layered stamped card.  I also have a small tool that I show you for help in laying out your card.

I have a lot going on for the blog today. I'm going to start with the Cardabilities Sketch.

Going on to Just Us Girls #256 - Any Shaped Card

I had so much fun with this challenge!  I watched yet another video from Jennifer McGuire, No Mess Glitter Die Cuts.  [Gosh that girl is so amazing with all her different techniques and hints!]  I wanted to try this so I did with my round card.

I used my totally favorite tiny bird from Lawn Fawn Year Four, along with the fun Lawn Fawn Thanks - all glittered up just like Jennifer's video showed ;).

We hope you play along over at Just Us Girls with the any shaped card challenge.

Lastly, Addicted To CAS starts a new challenge today too.  It's all about luxury.

This week we are being sponsored by Inspired By Stamping with a $15 gift certificate

Gold always equals luxury to me.  I used a Memory Box die, Lovely Peony along with a sentiment from Inspired By Stampings, Flowers Bloom.

So, what does luxury mean to you?  Make a card and upload it over at Addicted to CAS.  Can't wait to see what you create~
