STAMPlorations May CAS Challenge - PAUSED until further notice

 Due to health reasons, Shery has paused all challenges and blog updates.  She can use your prayers for her and her family~

Since I had already made this card, I am going ahead and share it with you all. I used the fun Buttercups and Butterflies Stamp Set, along with the matching dies, and yes, I also used the "twist" colors.

I used a gray card base, and colored the images with Copics.

To finalize the card, I added a sticker from Spring Magic. 

I will have no other STAMPlorations posts this month going forward [until we hear from Shery -  At this point, the store might even be closed down.]  I am keeping Shery in my prayers that all works out~

STAMPlorations April CAS Challenge

 

I was inspired by a couple of cards over on my friend Pinterest.  I really love the end result!  I think these balloons make such a fun card.

I used STAMPlorations Shaker Balloons #3 Oval, along with the Skinny Sentiments for the HB.

I did the "shading trick" that Laura Bassen showed.  I love the depth it adds to the balloons.

STAMPlorations March CAS Challenge

 

We are finally back!  Gosh it seems like forever since I have made a card for this challenge.  Pink & green worked perfectly when dealing with a fun flower image!

 

Especially when it is on a coffee cup! ;)  Yep, I used the fun Coffee Bloom Prints Digital image, along with a sentiment from Coffee and Mondays Stamp Set.

I had fun coloring the images in the twist colors!  Just using the digi image made it easy to keep it CAS too.

STAMPlorations January CAS Challenge

Happy New Year!  We are starting out this new year with a lovely rainbow CAS challenge. The rainbow is a twist, but being CAS isn't.

I think we all love rainbows - in real life, and on cards.

I sponged up a panel using the Clouds Stencil, and then cut that down with one the the Curly Labels Tag Dies.

I stamped the butterflies from Sweetly and cut out with my Scan & Cut.  I wanted the contrast, so I didn't color them.  The HB is from Baa Baa.

STAMPlorations CAS Challenge - Metalic + 1

Welcome to the STAMPlorations CAS Challenge.  You have all month to play along, and yep, there is a prize!

For my card today, I used chunky glitter [from my stash] for the metallic [from my stash] and 1 Blue Blooms ATC Card for the + 1.

I got the silver card base from a customer of mine from Starbucks.  [Actually, she gave me a stack of these].  Since they went really well with the silver glitter, I used one of them.  I really like the texture!

My sentiment is from the sold out stamp set, Best Mom Ever.

STAMPloration November CAS Challenge

 

For my card today, I used Leaves of Thanks for my background.  I stamped out a card panel - after ink smooshing on Oxide Vintage Photo, Iced Spruce, and Black Soot.  These colors are really faint, so they don't show up [as the color], but you get the drift. Then I angled cut the panel to put on my cream colored card base [again, color did not photograph well 😕]

I then stamped a sentiment from Words of Gratitude on vellum, and backed with a cream base, and adhered that to the center.

That's it for my card.  You have all month to play along, and the colors are an option.  I love neutrals so I am looking forward to the gallery this month.  I hope you play along over at STAMPlorations November CAS Challenge.

STAMPlorations CAS Challenge - October

WE ARE BACK!  I am raring to go after our Summer break!  Did you miss us?  I sure missed you.

I used Born to Roam stamp set.  Easy peasy ;)

I do love inks that are marched to a shade.  For my greens I used Altenew's Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen.  Love these together.

STAMPlorations CAS Challenge Reminder and Inspiration #322

STAMPlorations CAS Challenge and Inspiration #320

For this month the CAS Challenge and the Inspiration post overlap.  That said, I am combining these 2 posts together.

I just love this cute sheep from the Baa Baa stamp set. I stenciled the background using the Patches Stencil, and then used the Circles All Over Texture Plate for additional texture.

The HB is also from the Baa Baa stamp set.

2 things regarding this card - 1, I love my new Flutter Zen 1 Butterfly Die!  Isn't this stunning with the [almost] copper metal I used for cutting it out? 2, have I mentioned how much I adore the sticker option for a sentiment!  I so love the font of this one in the Spring Magic package.

Yep, this one is my favorite of my 2 cards this month!

STAMPlorations May CAS Challenge

 

 

 

For my card today I used a digital image from Boxed Blooms.  I printed, colored with Copics, and cut out the squares.  I went through my stash and found some copper colored craft metal and used that to meet the color twist.  I also used the Hello Word Die to finish off my card.

The thing with metal, it is a bitch to photograph. I think you get the drift though.

STAMPlorations April CAS Challenge

 

I wasn't sure I was going to like these 2 colors together, but they worked really well :)

 

I used a technique I had forgotten about.  Take a piece of card stock, and crumple it up - flatten it out, and take ink pads swiping direct to paper.  I like the end result, especially when using just 2 colors.

I used the glasses and sentiment from Better Together.
