Guest Designing for Time Out Challenges #258!

I was excited to win a GD spot for Time Out Challenges!  This guy is the bomb for a super fun card!

While he is here to "inspire" us for a card, I loved the colors of this frog, so, I went a looking through my woodblock stamps [knowing I had at least 1 frog image].  Low & behold, I found 2!  However, when I went to stamp them, sadly one went into the trash.  [Yep folks, here in AZ rubber stamps do not survive in our heat - dried out big time]  I was rather glad the other one worked as he made a terrific card!

I made a mini slimline, using a few of Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimlines Dies for the panels,  I cut some circles for highlighting, and adhered this Copic colored fun guy onto the rounds.

I did add some Nuvo Crystal Drops to him for the "shine" [hard to photograph], and kind of caught his colors - [though not as vivid 😀].  I also computer generated a sentiment, and fussy cut it out.

I hope our "friend" inspires you. If so, join in over at the Time Out Challenges #258. You have until March 13th to play along.

Thanks so much for the Guesting Gig T.O. Team!  I certainly had fun!

Just Us Girls Challenge #716 - CASE a DT Week

Personally, I love CASEing fellow creators cards.  We are hoping that you will enjoy picking one of our DT cards and CASEing them!

For my card, I went with a shaker card.  I did an inked blended background, stamped the image [Altenew, Hennah Elements] and embossed it in gold. I added dimensioned flowers over the stamped image, and finally, I adhered a sentiment. Once all that was done, separately I made a frame, attached some acetate, added some sequins and small beads, and adhered that over the top of the panel.

WA LA! Card is complete.

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS Challenge #716, pick a Design Team Member to CASE, and go to town!  Be sure to let us know who you are CASEing.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Mostly Red

I instantly thought of a monochrome card in red. I have used this sketch many times, but it works perfectly with this card.

I created a mini slimline card base, along with a panel using the Katscrappiness Diamond Wire & Woodgrain Die

I triple layered the Whimsy Stamps Happy Die cut, and shadowed the Birthday, as it blended in a little too much.  Yep, I do love this end result!

Your turn.  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While mostly red is an option, being a birthday card is not.

Just Us Girls Challenge #715 - Stencil Week

There are so many possibilities with this challenge.  Today I went really far out the spectrum, but, I still used stencils.

As I said the other day, I have been making tissue paper gelli pulls.  The end result of these is so fun!  So, I pulled a few sheets from my stash, and tore them into strips etc, and glue sticked the pieces onto a card panel.  I love the fun mixed media background this created.

I stamped and colored one of the fun birds from Ranger Dina Wakley Scribbly Small Birdies, and used a sentiment strip from Simon Says, to finish off my card.

Your turn.  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #715 and show us how you use stencils~

Addicted to CAS Challenge #252 - Geometric

I was the team member who chose this topic.  I do adore geometrical cards.  They can be complicated, or not.  For my card I went pretty basic, but I am very happy with my end result.

I do love color against a black background too.  This card is a win for me. 😀

Your turn!  Come on over to ATCAS #252 and show us your CAS, geometrical card.

Just Us Girls Challenge #714 - Moodboard Week

Seriously, I think mood boards are my favorite way be inspired for creating a card.  I just love this one!

I was so inspired by the lower left photo that I made my own alcohol ink panel, and added some gold foil. [I love this look]  I grabbed my favorite Memory Box Grand Tulip Shell Die, grabbed another stashed panel, and cut out the shell.

The sentiment is retired, but so perfect for this card!

Your turn.  Show us how you are inspired from our mood board and share it over at JUGS #714.

Just Us Girls Challenge #713 - Word Week

Okay, this should be the last of my V Day cards. [Maybe 1 more later in the month].

I just love mini slimline bases.  This size worked perfectly with the Stitched Postage Stamp Dies, along with the super fun Condensed Uppercase Alphabet from Katscrappiness.

Good thing there are many ways to use a heart!  I have a week full of them here on the ole blog 😀 .

Earlier last week, I thought I had the card for DH - that changed when I created this one!  This is so much more fun, and I think he will like it.

AAA Birthday Challenge - Hearts

I think we will see lots of hearts in blogland this week.  [4 of my DTs are requiring them 😀].  Works for me since I need a V day bday card, along with some valentine's day cards.

These two circles were sitting on my desk.  All of the sudden, I had a card idea!  I'm not sure about you, but that does not happen very often to me.  I do love it when the card comes together as I "saw" it.

I just love a red and white card.  I'm really happy with this one.

Your turn!  You have all month to play along over at AAA Birthday Challenge.  We hope you join in.
