I'm playing in a couple more challenges today. Let's start with Freshly Made Sketches #537.

When I got done, I felt my card needed something, so I added the fun cat. I think that balances out the card. [I could be wrong] What do you think?
I'm playing in a couple more challenges today. Let's start with Freshly Made Sketches #537.
I am running out of "titles" for my posts of joining in challenges. So, today I just took after the cards.
I started with CAS on Sunday #232; Fruit.
I used the fun STAMPlorations Layered Citrus. I just love the way these "parts" stamp together to make the entire image. [Store is temporarily closed for Shery's health reasons so I didn't link it]
----------------------------------------------------------------
I went on to create a card for the AAA Cards #216; Color Scheme + a twist of Shaker.
I am joining in a couple of challenges today. The colors from Color Throwdown #694 were so striking together, I had to play. Using the sketch from MFTWSC #595 was just a bonus. 😀
I just realized my sketch is a little off, but it works, so I am going with it. Once again, I used dies that are not labeled - omg - so frustrating I didn't label them!
I just love these colors together. They just work perfectly together! Yay to whomever choose them. I really enjoyed the sketch too.
---------------------------------------------
Lastly, I entered the Global Design Project #344 - CASE the Designer. I do love CASEing cards - it's very inspiring for me. Here is the card to be CASED:
Here is mine:
I used a die from Pink Fresh Studio, Color Block Stripes Die, that makes stripes so easily! I cut and adhered them onto some copy paper, and then cut out a circle with the Simon Says Nested Circle Wafer Die.
I used the fun Hello Die from Dare 2B Artzy. I like word dies that have a background, and most importantly [to me] is a good price point!I used an embossing folder for the "basket weave", and grabbed a few flowers from Dare 2B Artsy's Wishing Happiness, and colored those close to the flower colors from the photo.
I grabbed a Simon Says Sentiment Strip, and adhered that over the top of everything, (from the black in the tires.) I am also entering this into the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge; Anything Goes with Embossing. I didn't use the twist of a butterfly.
I had fun being inspired. Your turn! Come on over to JUGS Challenge #634 and show us your inspired card.
First of all, I used the Summer Wreath Accents Cling Stamps - I just stamped them, and colored in with Copics. Then, I stamped a sentiment from Just For You Sentiments on vellum, and attached it to the panel.
I felt it needed a little something so I used [the new to me] trick of using dies to cut out images from the designer papers HFC makes. Seriously, I have been with HFC for YEARS! YEARS, I tell ya - and I never knew this about the paper with coordinating dies! [Good grief - but awesome I learned it!] I love the look of the branches from the Seasonal Wreath Paper Collection, and the matching dies are from the Summer Wreath Accents Dies! So, the out-of-the-box status? No flowers, no layers - not elaborate. But still, I adore this card :)

I used a stencil I received [many years ago] from Loll Thompson. [That was so nice of her!] I never could get my cutter to fine cut a stencil - hers came out amazing! It was so easy to sponge on rainbow colored ink.
I played in a couple of challenges today that I really enjoyed. First off, I'm joining in at Simon Says Monday; - not a card, and also Simon Says Wednesday; anything goes, so my ABC project will work. I'll start with the matching card I made.
I am so happy with how this turned out! I'm thinking I could use this die for an adult by changing up the images [wine comes to mind]! Such fun project to create. [I wanted to give Caroline Paton thanks for the coloring inspiration - I never would of thought of this on my own!]
---------------------------------------
I went on to join in the MFT Slimline Challenge. Again, I do adore making slimline cards and I [for some reason] have missed this one in the past. Not today!
It's probably tacky using Kat's products [with the watermark], but the challenge does say MFT is not required, so I'm going for it. I used a few of the many Mini Slimline Dies that Katscrappiness offers, and I LOVE THEM! They make it so easy to create "mini" layers!
I also used the Wine Not Dies for my bottle and glass. I like that you can use designer paper to give the "feel" of an aged bottle of wine. Since my friend has 3 large wine coolers, this card is perfect for her! That's it for today. I'll be popping back with some more challenges that have caught my interest soon.
It's time for a CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Company day here on my blog. I had so much fun making this card, and, I used a few stamps sets to do it.
I started with a [self made] mini slimline card base, and put it in my MISTI. Being careful to line it up against the edge, I stamped the first make a wish from Shenanigans. I moved the base down by 1" [in my MISTI] and re-stamped the rest of the line up.
Once that was done, I had a little to much space in between the stamping so I grabbed the heart from Sassy Smiles Duo, and stamped that the same way. I still felt I had too much open space, so I grabbed the its your birthday... sentiment from Whole Shebang, and stamped that down the card.
Using WTF2, I used the [cut it apart] HB and stamped that on a separate card strip and adhered it in the center, after drawing a self frame.
I enjoyed making this card - I hope you enjoyed seeing it!
