A Simon Says Challenge - Thank You

I had some time and when I saw the SS Monday Challenge; Thank You, I wanted to join in.

I also saw this color combo while perusing Pinterest.  I am loving this combo.  Just because, I used the CutCardStock Twine, Sand, Emerald Green, Hunter Green, and some White. [Just sharing].

Simon Says Monday Challenge

I got an email regarding the Simon Says Monday Challenge; Thinking of You.  This was the perfect challenge for today as my BFF's mom passed away [unexpectantly] on Saturday night.  I'm so sad for my friend - she is an only child and has A LOT to deal with, along with her grief.  I wanted to make a card for her knowing I was thinking of her.

I actually used a mix of stickers!  The images worked really well to make a pretty sympathy card, which was my intention.

I adore the font of the sentiment too.  It worked beautifully IMO.

A Couple of Challenges Again

This time of year I seem to have a little more time for joining in at challenges.  I like that.

I loved this past Simon Says Monday Challenge - ATC's.  I so enjoyed the other one I made the other day, [but before SS challenge went live] I went on to make a couple more.  I just adore this layout with the sketchy framing!

I used a retired set from Simon Says created by Mama Elephant from 2013.  [Crazy how long I have had stamps]

I also used Simon Says Christmas Reverse Sentiments.  These strips of sentiments really are the bee's knees!  I am also entering these into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

I went on to play in the Paper Players Challenge #568 - Clean & Simple, Gnome.  This might not be CAS enough, but I so love the Simon Says Large Gnome Wafer Die, I figured I'd give it a shot. 

Not CAS enough??  I think its cute enough though ;)

I used the CAS-ual Fridays Flaky A2 Panel Die, along with another Simon Says Reverse Sentiment Strip.

I had a great time challenges!  Thanks.

Simon Says Monday Challenge - Not a Card

It's been forever since I made an ABC project - [anything but a card].  Simon Says Monday Challenge is running a Not A Card challenge, so, off to my friend You Tube to see what I could come up with.  I scored!  I found this tutorial and literally, I totally needed this fun container!

I didn't purchase her design template as I wanted a bigger version, and really I just figured the measurements out myself.  Yes, mine does not look as professional as hers, I am still happy with it. :)

All the "extra" die cuts I don't use [but might in the future] and don't really want to trash, fit perfectly in this container AND, I can see them since they are laying down rather then "standing up" in my old "bucket" type system storage that I was using.

It is so sturdy being made with the chipboard!  I love that. Many "paper" boxes have bit the dust after moving them a few times.  I used push pins as the legs - hey they worked brilliantly!

Okay, that was a 2 hour project that I really enjoyed making!  And as stated, it works perfectly to keep clutter off my desk.  There's a win, win.

A Few Challenges

I took some time today to go through a list of challenges I had written down for this month.  There were a few that interested me, so I decided to play along.  Simon Says Monday Challenge Love/ Hearts, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; Love is in the Air, Mod Squad Challenge; All About Love, and for the color combo, Color Hues #11; Red and Pink.

I used this adorable elephant from Stampendous Cling Jungle Friends.  [Apparently, it is retired since I can't find it anywhere on line.]  Too bad, as it is really an adorable set.

Not sure where the love is from, but the you is an older Simon Says die.

Simon Says Monday Challenge

I took some time today to actually play in a challenge!  Once again, it has been forever.

I am playing in the Simon Says Monday Challenge; Spooky.  Now while I do not care for Halloween, I do have some nieces who think it is the best holiday ever.  [Go figure.]

I used a free set from Memory Box I won probably 3 years ago.  Never came out of the package until today. lol  So long in fact, it's no longer available [typical of most of my stamps]

I was going to color the images, but changed my mid.  They work in black & white, right?

I had a busy week end making cards for really no other reason then it gave me something to do.  I am hoping to find some challenge they will fit into [if not now, in the future hopefully.].
