CutCardStock Day

I debated using this card today as to be honest, I only used Classic Crest Bright White Card Stock with a touch of Astrobright Black.

But you wouldn't know right?  I used the inking up an embossing folder technique.  I really think this is a beautiful effect.

Using the same white card stock, I foiled a sentiment.  

I have to say, I am rather thrilled with this card.

CutCardStock Day

I am sure I have mentioned [a few times] how much I enjoy the paper from this company! I love the assortment, and I think the price is amazing!

I think this card is beyond elegant!  I used the beautiful Royal Sundance Linen Emerald Green card stock.  I love this deep green with the beautiful gold foiling.  Yep, I even pulled out my foiling machine!

Another card for my stash completed.

Seize the Birthday Challenge #301 - Anything that Flies

I found this butterfly in my foiled bin, and yep, it works perfectly for this challenge!

For a little pop of color, I flicked on some Copic yellow.  Adds a little something, something.

Foiling is so hard to photograph [sigh].

Fun Challenges!

I took some time and decided to join in a few challenges for today's post.

I started with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #510.

I printed off some digital paper from my computer folder, and then cut out [this adorable] *Large Gnome Die from Simon Says and had his hat match the bg panel.

My sentiment is from Hero Arts Holiday Sayings stamp set.

I went on to play in Kat's Scrappiness November Challenge; a shaker card, along with Just Add Ink #579; Foil, Glimmer, Shimmer, pick 2.

There is a story to this card.  Let me tell you ;).  I was playing around with my laser printer and foil.  I printed a digi [Hanneli Bester's generosity], ran it though my Mink machine, and WA LA, I had a mini slimline sized sentiment - {FOIL for challenge}  I figured I would also try the Edge-less Shaker Card by using some packaging from you guessed it, a slimline set of dies.

I used Katscrappiness Mini Slimline Embossed Edge Dies for the sentiment panel, and just cut down some kraft paper for the card base [3.5x6].

I added in some pretty sequins {SHIMMER for challenge}, adhered the panel to the card base, and added a feather from Spellbinders Feather Dies.  It still needed something, so I wrapped some twine around the card.  End of my story?  What started out as just playing, turned into a fun masculine card for 2 challenges, and my use!  What a win :).

For the final challenge [gosh, I hope you are still with me!], I joined in at AAA Cards #202 - a sketch and twist of a gnome.

 

 

I used [my favorite] gnome* again with some happy Christmas colors.  

The sketch is CAS, and this card was quick to make, and I adore the end result!

The Card Concept #52

The timing of The Card Concept #52 - 2nd Anniversary Challenge came at a perfect time!  I have a couple of customers who got married, and I wanted to make a card for them.

By my card, you can tell that yes, I fell for the latest trend and got myself a Minc machine.  I even went as far as buying a laser printer, so I can make any stamp I have foiled!  As you can also see, it is a bitch to photograph! That's why I have 2 photos -- to show you how the foiling looks.  Needless to say, it looks better in real life :).  I went for the Classy & Elegant style for my card.

I think my customers will like this~
