Last SCS Color Challenge DT Card #614

It is with mixed emotions that this is my last DT card for the SCS Color Challenge #614.  I have been on this team since October 2010, CC#293, 6 years ago!  WOW.

For the colors this week Maura chose Black, Gold, with a desert of something sparkly.

In recognition of my time, I CASED my first DT color challenge card from CC293;

 I basically kept the same layout, and used a different sentiment.

And just for fun, I made a second project;

I embossed my white flowers with gold embossing powder!  How cool is that! I love the end result.

Well, I guess this is it.  While I might be joining in future SCS Color Challenges, it will no longer be as a Design Team member.  It's been an excellent 6 years!

I guess if you think coffee gives you a "glow", [lol] then I got the dessert.  Otherwise, I used the colors [as close as I had for Crushed Curry anyway], along with STAMPlorations Anywhere There's Coffee.  Yes, you guessed it, I am entering this card into the Winter Coffee Lover's Hop too.

SCS Color Challenge #611

Karen chose awesome colors for this week; Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Vanilla dessert of sparkles.

For my candy cane, I printed and cut a digi from online, with my Silhouette.  [Thrilled with how that turned out.].  For my sparkle, I used Perfect Pearls after I sponged on my color using Distress Inks.  The Perfect Pearls will '"stick" to the ink since it stays "wet" for a short time.  I do love the shimmering look of the Perfect Pearls.  My mc is CUTplorations Merry Christmas Word Die, and my background is CAS-ual Fridays Tin Roof.

SCS Color Challenge #CC610

It is my challenge this week, and I chose Cherry Cobbler, Gold and White with a dessert of an ornament.

I went literal and actually made an ornament.

I used CAS-ual Fridays Ornament Tag Fri Die, Memory Box Pine Border Outline, and a penguin from a Recollections set I picked up at Michaels.  Just an FYI - do you have any Recollections sets?  Well, a hint I just figured out, use Archival ink with these images.  I tried others and it modeled - when I used the archival, I got a fabulous solid black body with this cutie.

SCS Color Challenge #607

This week the colors are so different from last week-- I rather like the change.  Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, and Old Olive, with a dessert of Fall Flowers.

I inked sprayed my background, and water colored the roses.  It's a bright card no doubt. ;).

As usual my camera kind of changed the colors as I actually did use Bermuda Bay.  Whatever - it is what it is....  I used Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur and dies to make my vellum flowers.  I colored the back of the vellum with a coral copic, and used CUTplorations Merry Christmas word die.

Here is my card for the challenge;

I can't begin to tell you how long this card took me to make!  Or remake as I should say.  I started trying to water color the flowers - mud, I got mud!  These colors do not mix.  So plan B I just went with the colors, and used a s close to Crushed Curry as I had.  Bottom line?  I still do not like this card, but oh well.  I ran out of time.....

SCS Color Challenge #604

It's my turn to chose the SCS Color Challenge #604 colors.  This week I went with Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, and Strawberry Slush, with a dessert of texture.

I used Papertrey's Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Step 2, along with the dies.  My HB is from Altenew Label Love, and my texture is from a We R Memory Keepers 3D embossing folder.

SCS Color Challenge #602

Barbara chose pretty colors this week over at the SCS Color Challenge; Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum and  Smokey Slate.  The dessert is thinking of you or sympathy.



While I didn't have Sweet Sugarplum, I got close.

I used a flower die from Memory Box, Lovely Peony Outline, along with a Simon Says With Sympathy die.  While I was in Washington, I bought a We Are Memory Keepers, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, and used that for some texture.

SCS Color Challenge #600!!

Wow! I can't believe we are on our 600th Color Challenge over at SCS.  I went back in my SCS Gallery and my first Color Challenge was #198, back in 2008!  Whoa - 8 years worth of challenges - crazy.  Had to chuckle at my cards 8 years ago too :).

The challenge this week is - Design Team Members pick one of their favorite past challenge, and either make a new card, or use the original one.  Well, you all know me - I am all about stamping so of course, I made a new one.  I choose CC592.  A fairly recent challenge [of mine], but I did love the colors together; Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, with a dessert of dimension.

I sponged my card using Distress Inks, and sprinkled with water for my background, and added some circles from Simon Says Lots of Dots.  My butterflies are also from Simon Says, Butterfly Friends [retired].  My sentiment is ??. :)

SCS Color Challenge #599

It's time for the SCS Color Challenge #599.  This week Karen came up with a pretty combo; Blushing Bride, Sky Blue and Wild Wasabi, with a dessert of glitter.

I started with using Versamark with my Simon Says Grid Background stamp, and water color washed it on some water color paper.  Using Clearly Besotted English Rose [and dies], I stamped, cut out, and layered, on my base.  I used a sentiment from MFT Simply Fabulous Sayings.  I do like these 2 layered stamps -- makes for a nice faux colored flower :).

SCS Color Challenge #597 - Mine

It's my color choice over at SCS Color Challenge.  For this week I chose 3 colors, that were sitting on my desk, and [I thought] they looked really good together.  Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Emerald Envy with a dessert of a bird.

I mixed the colors, and I do like this card.  These are the pieces that were on my desk.  Colors picked from them, and then I made a card from them.  Worked for me :).
