Oh boy I am looking forward to seeing this gallery. I do adore stripes on a card!
I just watched a video [Natasha Foote] on making your own stamps using some adhesive foam strips. Since I actually had these foam strips, I thought I would try it.
Well, that worked rather awesomely. That said, I doubt I will do this again, as it really does waste the adhesive strip foam. I'd rather save it for my sentiment strips.
I used a from-my-stash inked panel for the background of the butterfly die. [I wanted the contrast against the black stripes.] My sentiment is from Simon Says Sentiment Strips.
That's it for me today. Want to play? Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and join in! It's going to be a great gallery.

Love this! Great CAS design!
Your stripes look great but I'm loving the fancy butterfly!
Beautiful color combo with the black stripes(which look great) and that lovely butterfly. Great card Vicki.
Wait.... You made your own stripes using foam adhesive? At first, I thought that this was a great way to do that, but after reading further, I think that I am with you about wasting adhesive. Still a great card and I love that the butterfly looks like turquoise. Thanks for being honest about the waste.
OK, so that's pretty cool to design your own stamp from foam strips!! I love that!! Really beautiful butterfly and design!
I thought of you when I saw this topping! Awesome butterfly and card!
The end result looks awesome and I do love the imperfection of it rather than a stamp or stencil. That said, I have to agree with you. But....gorgeous card and thanks for sharing the idea!
Yes, its a great idea, and it would work out if you stored and used it again, otherwise it would feel like a waste!! But this one sure helped to create a wonderful card. I love the stripes and the fun butterly. Gorgeous!
Those foam strips stamped beautifully, they look great with that pretty butterfly, Cathy x
Vicki, very clever to make your own stamps for the stripes! And your butterfly is gorgeous!
Great stripes - so striking with your butterfly.
Love your stripy background, such a shame it wastes the foam adhesive. Your inked butterfly contrasts beautifully against the back and white.
