Just Us Girls Challenge #617 - Wild Card Week

I went the lazy way for this challenge - plaid designer paper.  Just wasn't in the mood to stamp my own.

I went into my stash dies, and pulled out all of what you see; fern, flower, and jar.  While it's not one of my favorite cards, I still kind of like it.

I used a sentiment from Pink Fresh Studios, Perfect Sentiments, with matching die.  I love this set - 1 stamp, 1 die = many sentiments!  Yep, easy peasy.

Your turn!  You can upload your card over at the JUGS Challenge #617.

Heartfelt Creations January Alumni Hop

It's time for the first Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop of 2022.  Always lots of beautiful inspiration to be seen on this monthly hop.

For this month, I went with a basic journal.  I like t"books" like this as really, they can hold whatever you need it for.  Photos, car information [keep it in your glove box], even dies!  I think I will be using mine for stencils.... maybe.  So many choices ;)

So here is the finished project.  [This journal is 7"x6"].  I used the Seasonal Wreath Paper Collection for the cover, and also the inside pages.

I wanted to add a little something to the cover [while the paper is quite fabulous, it needed some fun flowers~] so I grabbed the Rustic Sunflower Cling Stamp Set with the Rustic Sunflower matching dies.

I colored them with my Copics, along with some leaves from the Flowering Dogwood Cling Stamp Set.  I cut the leaves with the matching Flowering Dogwood Dies.

I used twine to bind the journal together.  HERE is the quick video I watched to make this project.

Once again, the final project;

That's it for me.  Below is the list of participating designers for this month.  Don't forget to leave a comment  for the $25, randomly drawn, gift certificate to Heartfelt Creations.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #353

It's time for my STAMPloration inspiration.  Today I am going with a sympathy card.  Fortunately, I don't "need" it currently, but I will have it in my stash if I do.

I grabbed an inked panel from my stash, and because this is a sympathy card, I wanted the colors muted.  Vellum works perfectly for what I wanted.  I used the flower image from Bloomfully: Sparkle, and a sentiment from Blooming Buds in simple black ink.

Simple, but I hope appropriate.

You can see more inspiration over on the STAMPlorations Blog.  Meanwhile, don't forget to leave a comment for the monthly prize draw!

CAS-ual Fridays Day

It's time again for my CAS-ual Fridays Day.

I used a couple of products for today's card; Flowery Duo [comes with the dies!], Pretty Posies [with matching dies], and Everyday Dragonflies [with matching dies]. [All of these are on sale, and yes, my code works too!]

I colored the images with my Copics, and the sentiment is from Everyday Dragonflies.

That's it for my card today.  I'll be back next month with more CFS cards.

Addicted to CAS Challenge - Triangles

We are back!  I chose this challenge.  I sure hope you join in and, of course, have fun creating.

Sometimes CAS cards are so easy!  If you don't over think them, they really are easy.  I grabbed my Penny Black Triangle Dies to make my triangles.

I added a Simon Says Birthday Sentiment, and this card was done.  I do love a ten minute card. 😀

Okay, your turn.  Come on over to Addicted to CAS Challenge and play along!

Just Us Girls Challenge #616 - Photo Inspiration

Such a cute photo.  I went searching into my stash of stamps, and came up with a never used set from Simon Says, Winter Hugs.  [Apparently so old, it's no longer available] Sure made a cute, inspired card though.

I don't do cutsie cards often, but this was really fun to create!

Going into my stash for next Christmas.

Your turn.  How does the photo inspire you?  Pop on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge and play along.  The gallery should be very fun.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Embossing

So many choices of embossing!  I went with a 3D embossing folder.  I love this semi-new type of thick depth embossing.

I started by making an inked background using some Dylusions Sprays.  Once dried, I ran it through my die cut machine with a new to me embossing folder from Simon Says, Roseville Bouquet.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Birthday Sentiments.

Here is a close up of the embossing.  It's subtle, but I love the final result!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #352

It's time for my STAMPloration inspiration.  Again for this week, I used the fun Paper Goods, Bloom Cutups ATCs, only this time I used them on a regular slimline card.

This was such an easy card to make!  I cut the card base [8.5x 4] and adhered the ATCs onto the base.  No cutting, no adjustments, just the perfect fit!

I hand drew some black framing, and lastly, I added a 3 layered Celebrate from Skinny Sentiments.  Yep, super easy, and I love the end result!  So fun.

For more inspiration, you can pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog and see what my teamies have made.  Meanwhile, leave that comment for the monthly prize!

An Inspired Post

I have been watching Natasha Foote's You Tube videos for a few months now.  She's like a mini Jennifer McGuire -- lots of fun techniques and cards, only [for me] easier to create.  That said, I took sometime today to just play.

For this first card, I was inspired by a couple of Natasha's videos; Use Your Washi Tape, and Four Panel Cards.

I covered the panels with some washi tape from my stash.  This will make a fabulous masculine card!

I also 3x layered the sentiment from Papertrey Ink, Birthday Wishes.  Love the larger size of this die.

For my 2nd card, I was inspired by Using Ephemera To Create a Card.  I got a package of ephemera from Altenew Blooming Ephemera in the goodie box I bought from Simon Says.

Really no explanation for making this. I simply adhered the 3 images together, and adhered onto a Memory Box embossed panel.  Can't get much easier then that!

Just a play date in the stamp room~

Just Us Girls Challenge #615 - Color Week

These colors are going to help make some lovely cards!  I'm looking forward to the gallery.

For my card, I used a self made balloon stencil.  [Yeah, somewhere I have an actual balloon stencil, but, no surprise, I can't find it.]

The happy in silver glitter paper makes it very special, and the birthday is a cut sentiment strip.

I'm not sure who the bow is from, but it worked to "hold" the balloons together.  A very basic card, but I think it works well using the colors.

Your turn - come on over to the JUGS Challenge #615 and play along.  Can't wait to see what you create.

CAS-ual Fridays Day

It's once again, time for my CAS-ual Fridays Day here on my blog.

I went with a totally different color combo for me.  That said, I am loving these colors together!  I used the Jewish Star Stencil to sponge my background.  I added some Pretty Posies flowers, and last, I used the tiny flower from Sassy Smiles, stamped as a filler.

I used the [so fun] Whole Shebang stamp set for the sentiment.  [On a side note, I really love how you can use embossing powder with Versafine ink.  Makes it all pretty and shiny ;)]  Also adding this into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Fun with Stencils..

That's it for today.  I'll be back in a couple of weeks with another CFS Day.
