Friday again!  Seriously, the weeks are just zooming by.  That's okay though, I really do like having the week ends off :).  For today's D2BA Friday, I have joined in some challenges;

CASE Study - the last of Maile's cards.  I will miss CASEing her.  What an awesome card style she has!  Did I ever tell you I met her at CHA?  She looks all of 16 - lucky girl!

Merry Monday #64 & W9 Mood Board

There is a challenge out there that has been around for awhile, and I have never played in it! [Like I have played in every challenge in blogland, right? HA!]  Anyway, it is Merry Monday.  They had a fabulous sketch and it needs to be a Christmas card.  As fast as this year is going, starting Christmas cards seems like a really good idea.

I used my favorite reindeer stamp [and die] from Hero Arts; Holiday Cheer, and a sentiment from PTI's Big Bold Holiday Wishes.

I just love this sketch! It made a nice flat, mailable card. :)

I am also playing in another new challenge I found the other day; WPlus9 Design Studio Mood Board.  

This was a really fun challenge.  I think I like "boards".  It's like a photo inspiration, but more detailed.  It was fun picking what images I wanted to work with.  You do need to use WPlus9 stamps.  I only have one set, however, I have a friend who is expecting a baby in July!  Does this work perfect or what!

I used the fun WPlus9 set Onesie Twosie, along with Onesie Twosie Dies..

Yeah, this was a fun one.  I'll be playing in this challenge again~

Special Birthday Hop for Ardyth

Today we are celebrating a fabulous [well known] stamper's birthday. IT'S ARDYTH!  I am sure you have seen her work in blogland.  If she isn't winning a challenge, she is on the DT of one!  Darnell Knauss, over at djkardkreations is hostessing today's party. For today's birthday hop we could CASE one of Ardyth's cards or just make one.  Ardyth has such a graphic style, that I chose to CASE one of her cards;

I am loving the "paint stripes" so I took it literally.

I used actual paint!  I love the effect and texture of this.  I embossed my doily, and spot colored my SU [really old] happy birthday sentiment.

Muse #19

The Muse Challenge this week is so pretty!  I love all the Springtime flowers and colors.

I kept the same layout and used flowers from Inspired By Stamping's Spring Blossoms and a sentiment from Words of Inspiration.

Rather then keeping it flat, I added some cut outs for some depth [and to change it up a little :)]

Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop

Welcome to the May Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop!  This is my first "alumni" hop to participate in and I can't wait to see everyone's creations. Plus, it is fun to use the HFC images again.  

I just love the flowers [with matching dies] that Heartfelt has.  The flowers I used for my card, are from Tattered Blossoms using the Spellbinders Tattered Blossoms dies.  I also used Layered Elegant Swirl die, and Spellbinders Labels 17.  My sentiment is from Heartfelt Expressions.

SCS Color Challenge #428

This week our newest Team Member, Kim, has chosen Island Pacific, Pool Party, and Lucky Limeade with a dessert of paper piercing.  I am so on board with these colors!

I actually used my electric cutter [finally] for the word happy and then colored them with copics.  While I really wanted the font in script [couldn't find that font], this worked just fine.  My hexagons are cut with MFT Hexagons, and I did the piercing.  Fun card to make.  I also used my fabulous slide ruler for lining up my hexagons and letters.  It worked like a charm :).

Oh I am loving this photo that Marisa picked out for our inspiration this week over at Just Us Girls.

I used images from Inspired By Stamping; Big Congrats [sneak peek], Backgrounds Basics 2, and Elegant Flowers.  My leaves are PTI, Turning a New Leaf.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

Happy Birthday to me!  I am heading up to Scottsdale with a couple of friends for thirft shopping and lunch!  I can't wait to see what we find. :) If I find good stuff, I will share with all of you~ 

Meanwhile, for this scheduled post I am playing in the Pals Paper Arts Challenge; sketch. 

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card.  I loved the sketch -- I sometimes miss having multiple layers on my cards.  I used images from Inspired By Stamping, Big Hope, Elegant Flowers and Background Basics III.  Those cute little flowers and that pretty lace is also from IBS.

Stamp TV CSS Hop - Color Challenge

Hi and welcome to the Stamp TV CSS Blog Hop! I am first and I just love that :). For this hop, Miesje came up with a color challenge of red and green - [non-Christmas] - with the use of a neutral. I have no problem using these colors -- it is one of my favorite combinations.

I just adore the trend I am seeing of angled paper and stamping.  This worked really well using the GKD set, True Love.  Using copics to color - yep I am into these colors.

I liked them so much, I made a 2nd sample card.

I used the GKD set, Nature's Greetings, along with fun White Opal Liquid Pearls.  Aren't these so fun!  I just love how they look exactly like pearls.

A Colorful CAS

I took some time to play in a couple of challenges today; Clean and Simple Stamping; a sketch and Dynamic Duos; Pacific Point and Black, and Paper Players CAS Masculine.

I used my fun Fiskers Sentiment stamps. My border is Inspired By Stamping, Washi Tape.
