I love this set from GKD, Botanicals - it is simply my kind of stamp set~ gorgeous silhouette images along with perfect sentiments - simply my kind of stamps!
For my technique card I did watercolor spritzing - ink up your solid stamp image, spritz it with water (I used a small travel size spray bottle and hold it about 12 inches away from the image - you want a light spritz, to much and your image will run).
On my card I took it a further step - behind my vellum (the spritz flower images), I cut out a leaf die cut, taped it down on paper and spritzed it with water with a few drops of blue reinker added - it made the paper blue with a leaf outline - very cool effect I think!
I also was motivated to just make a card with my usual technique - sponging.. Face it, I love to sponge and once again, this set just makes it work sweet!
All papers are from GKD, even the bg paper - it's "stars" free download paper! Gina's 120 wt white cardstock is so awesome for cards, it just feels like a store bought card.
I hope you have enjoyed your hopping tonight - I know I enjoyed making these 2 cards. Thanks for stopping by!!
