Dazzling Divas #39 - Back to School

It's time again for the Dazzling Diva Challenge #39.  This week, it's Back to School [or anything goes].

I just adore the way this craft metal cuts!  I used a die [Crafty Cutts] and the 1st Day is done with my Silhouette!!   I used Peacock Blue Craft Metal and Black Diamond Craft Metal.  Here is a better photo of the color;

Even though my card is pretty generic, I love it.  Every time I use this craft metal, I just love the pop it adds to my cards!  Remember, you can buy it HERE, [and I get credit :)]  I am also entering this into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; back to school.

Meanwhile, come on over to Dazzling Divas Challenge #39 and play along!  There is a fabulous prize for the winner!

The Male Room #17 - Stars

It's The Male Room Challenge #17, Stars.

I decided to try a different type of star using the images from STAMPlorations, Chevrons and Arrows.  It worked - I love my "star".  Using rainbow colors with the black Hello [Technique Tuesday] still keeps this card masculine too.  Yay - I actually went out of the box for once :), and I am happy with the result.

Come on over to The Male Room and play along - remember to keep it masculine!

Last Seize the Sketch & Inspired By Stamping

I can't believe how fast the year went of being on the Seize the Sketch Design Team! Poof!  Lesley has decided to make this our last challenge, and I want to say thank you for the amazing year I had, and the opportunity to design with some fabulous stampers!!

I used the newly released STAMPlorations Holiday Sketches; Christmas Candle. I do like it just done with gold embossing.  Shery is running her "bundle special" for all the September Christmas sets, they are available starting August 20th.

Meanwhile, I hope to see you play in the last Seize the Sketch challenge!  We would love to go out with huge participation!  Here is the sketch for you:

It is also my day over at the Inspired By Stamping Blog.  Good news on this front, Joanna has asked me to stay on for another year -- naturally, I said YES!

To see what stamp sets [and links] I used to create this card, pop on over to the blog.  Remember, J has amazing blog candy!  Just leave a comment and cross your fingers that you win~

SCS Color Challenge - CC492

The colors this week over at SCS Color Challenge are So Saffron, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip with a dessert of dessert.

Out of all the stamps I have, this is the only ice cream stamp I have.  The colors reminded me of ice cream, so I went with it.  I used [retired] images from Gina K Designs, Lazy Days of Summer.  Kind of a fun card I think.

Come on over to SCS Color Challenge and join in the dessert party! :)

JUGS #254 & ATCAS #45

Over at Just Us Girls, the color combo that Sue chose is one of my [addictions] favorites!

I went into my SU drawer and found the perfect set; Best Blossoms.  [It's retired, like all of my SU sets, but it still is lovely.]  I water colored the background, added a little sponged stencil, and stamped my images on the top.  Can't you see why I am addicted to this combo?  I just love these colors together!

Your turn!  Come on over to Just Us Girls and play along!  We can't wait to see how you use this awesome color combo!

Another dual day here on the blog.  Harriett came up with the code word - huge potential with this one!

This 2 week challenge, we are are being sponsored by

I adore the neon colors from Hero Arts, I just don't use them very often.  They worked perfect with the triangles from Inspired By Stamping, Whimsical Banners, along with a sentiment from Technique Tuesday, Fabulous

I popped over to see the recommended search by Harriett, and found a very cool geometric pattern.  I printed it, and thought - perfect for a 2nd card for this challenge.

I made a svg cut for the sentiment, added some rolled flowers, twine and leaves, and this little awesome card was complete.  So fun when a card comes together so fast.

There is no doubt in my mind, this challenge is going to be huge - pop on over to Addicted to CAS and play along!  We would love to have you join in!

Inspired By Stamping

It's Inspired By Stamping day here on my blog.

I just fell in love with this new release, Summer Fun.  It's just!  In my travels on Pinterest, I saw this framing and I wanted to try it.  I am quite thrilled with it actually.  While I made a card, this could also be a picture to hang on the wall.  Fun huh?  My background diagonal lines I used, Background Basics Lines.
