CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Today I was inspired by the CAS Christmas Challenge; wreath.  Might as well get started on those Christmas cards.   It will be here before we all blink!

POW! I love this this total CAS card.  I added some depth to the wreath with a micro brush and ink, and used the Hero Arts Joy Stamp & Cut set.  I love the font of this word.

Thanks for a great challenge CAS Christmas!  I had a great time.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #187

This is the last Tuesday of the Summer 15% off everything in the STAMPlorations store.  [You can use my code, STAMPGIRLVICKID, to save an additional 20% off also.]

For today's card I used some fun products, but here is the card first.

 Nice and bright huh? LOL
I started with the Flowers 2 stencil and sponged on some distress ink.  Once I took the stencil off the card panel, I sponged on more color leaving it lighter in the center for a highlight.

I also inlaid the Spring Flower Layering Dies.  Finally, I cut out Celebrate Big with 3 black cuts, and one white, that I sponged color onto to match my background.  I think that's it!  Like I said, lots of fun products. :)

Just Us Girls Challenge #458 - Color Week

Rather a pretty color combo going on this week at JUGS.  Once again, I went CAS.

I used the Simon Says Grid Background for the gray, coral for the bigger circle frame, and pink [+1] for the next to smaller circle.  I stamped the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You in coral also.

Your turn.  How do you see using the colors? Pop on over to the JUGS Color Challenge #458 and show us your stuff!  I'm looking forward to the gallery this week.

Seize the Birthday Challenge

This challenge is all about Die Cuts or Punches

My girlfriend is turning 60 - this is such a perfect birthday card for her! :)  She is going to love it as she has such a positive attitude about getting older.

I used the Good Times Phrase Die Cut from CUTplorations, and the inside of a flower die that I have.  I'm thinking this card works for this challenge.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  Remember, the die cuts or punches is optional, but you must create a birthday card.

Dare 2B Artzy Day

It's my Dare 2B Artzy day here on my blog, and over on the D2BA blog also.

For my card today, I used the Shine stamp set [with matching dies], along with the Thanks Layered Die.  The strip of paper is from the Sunset Yellow Paper Pack.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  It has a Fall feel to it I think. :)

STAMPlorations Inspirations #186

Hi all - STAMPlorations Inspiration today.  We are getting down to last of the Tuesdays 15% off everything in the store.  If you use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID, you can save an additional 20%!  There is such an array of stamp images and dies, I hope you get some good stuff.

For my card today, I used the inking of an embossing folder technique.

I inked up the bottom of the actual embossing folder, and then lightly ran an ink pad over the raised area of the embossed card panel.  [This is a very fun technique, and I will probably use it again in the future.]

I used Say It Big; Be the Exception for the sentiment, and glossy accented the 3 punched hearts.

Happy Little Stampers ATC September Challenge

It's time for the Happy Little Stampers September ATC Challenge.  This month is all about vintage.

When I think of vintage, I see jagged and sponged edges, along with softer colors.

For all my ATC's, I used Happy Little Stampers Doodled Flowers.

Your turn, come on over to the HLS blog and play along.
I'm looking forward to seeing some vintage ATC's.
