Inspired By Stamping October Release - Day 2

Joanna has outdone herself with today's release; Winter Birds.  I adore birds on cards and what a fabulous selection of birds in this set!

I had to start with my favorite bird ever!  I so miss seeing Cardinals where I live in Arizona.  They are just amazing colorful birds to me!  I also used the Fancy Label 3 die for my background.

Remember, pop on over to Joanna's blog to see other cards along with blog candy!

SCS Color Challenge- CC501

This week over at SCS Color Challenge, Mary chose a really pretty color combo; Real Red, Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana, with a dessert of one of the HYCCT Challenges running at SCS currently.  I chose HYCCT1413; a bird or music on your card.

I loved the sketch over at I {heart} Card Sketches #83. I used Inspired By Stamping Background Basics Lines, along with the newly released, Winter Birds stamp set.  I loved that the Chickadee has some "crumb cake" in its color.  Worked perfectly with both the challenges~

Now, it's your turn! Come on over and play along with the challenges.  Hope You Can Cling To is a fabulous challenge in support of cancer patients.  Cards are mailed to the Anderson Cancer Center for family members to give to their loved ones struggling with this awful disease!

Inspired By Stamping October Release - Day 1

IBS is having a special release this month!  It's all about Christmas and oh my, it's a great release!  I'll be showcasing a card a day with the release set, today through Friday.

How cute are these gingerbread guys!  I used the downloaded Christmas Paper to make a small box to hold these adorable tags.  My "to" is from Holiday Tags, and the Gingerbread guys are from the new release; Sugar & Spice.

Be sure and pop on over to Joanna's blog for more card samples, along with a blog candy opportunity!

Paper Players #218

I'm so funny with challenges.  Sometimes I just have.to.play. and today, yep, one of those gotta play.  The Paper Players #218 is gold or silver and after seeing Gayatri's card in my email, I had to join in.

I used Golden Glimmer Craft Metal Sheet for my Tim Holtz Reindeer die and red glitter paper for my Simon Says Eliza Snowflake, along with silver mirror paper for the Memory Box Frosty Border.  Super shiny card :).

Thanks Gayatari for the inspiration, and Paper Players for the challenge!

Just Us Girls & Addicted to CAS

I totally loved Lisa's colors for this week's JUGS challenge!  While I am sure stampers might think Halloween, I thought birthday gift card holder.

I used the lovely Inspired By Stamping Australian Nature, along with a sentiment from Flower of the Month; Asters.  These flowers are so fun to color!!  I love that this gift card holder is also a tag.  The recipient can use the tag as a book mark!  Dual gift - that works.

Do you like the colors?  Come on over to Just Us Girls #263, and play along!  We look forward to how you use these fun colors~

This is also my Designer Spotlight for Inspired By Stamping.  To make this project;

Start with a 3x5 panel

On 2nd panel [3x5] score at 1" and 1/4", cut at angle
Adhere to tag base

Finish decorating, round corners, add a string.

We are being sponsored by;

I used white embossing on vellum with PTI's Rosie Posie stamp set, along with the celebrate from STAMPlorations, Celebrate.

We hope you join us using vellum on your CAS card over at Addicted to CAS!

A Free Friday

I actually had a free Friday today on my blog.  That means I get to play in a some challenges!

I started with Paper Players 217 with the colors, went with One Layer Simplicity #10, Fall Theme, and used some embossing to join in the CAS on Sunday #44.

I used an older set of Hero Arts, Real Leaves, that I purchased from Susan [OLS] about 5 years ago. Very appropriate for using for the Fall theme of the challenge.  I embossed my leaves with white embossing powder and then sponged on the colors from Paper Players.

I also did a card for the STAMPlorations October Challenge reminder [embossing and stamps], but also joined in with the Card Concept #21 Challenge, a flower photo.

I used STAMPlorations, Bloom Sketches and Happy.  I water colored my embossed flowers.  So.much.fun.!

As stated, this is also a reminder for the STAMPlorations October Monthly Challenge; embossing and stamps. Super easy, and you can use any stamps you want to!

i{heart}papers Day

Down to my last couple of cards as a Guest Designer over at i{heart}papers.  It sure has been fun!

For today's card, I joined in a new [to me] sketch challenge; i{heart} card sketch #082 - I loved the name being so close to the IHP company :).  They added a twist of using washi and/or paper strips, which I did.  I adhered my tag with removable tape, which makes this card a "gift card" ;).

The i{heart}papers supplies I used were as follows:

The Male Room #21 & Cardabilities

It's time again for The Male Room Challenge #21 - Halloween

I liked Halloween when I was a kid - all that candy!  Oh yeah, heaven.  Now, not so much.  Actually since I was 16 I stopped liking this holiday.  However, a card was required for this challenge, AND I have a little give a-way.  Consider it my "treat" :)

My cute little mummy is a sticker, [I never use stickers!] and I have a fun little package for one of you commenters!

With the exception of the 1 mummy I used, this set is complete.  Heck, I'll even throw in the card if you want!  Just leave me a comment and I'll randomly pick a winner at the end of this challenge, October 28th.

Meanwhile, come on over to The Male Room and enter a masculine Halloween card.

It is also Cardabilities Sketch #109 day.

I used products from Heartfelt Creations; Delicate Asters, Delicate Asters Dies and Classic Leaf Dies, along with HFC designer paper, Sun Kissed Collection.  My hello is from Technique Tuesday, Straight Talk.

Another fabulous sketch by Karan!  Come on over to Cardabilities and check out the rest of the Team's samples, and then play along!  We would love for you to join us~
