ARTplorations Hop - Day 2

It's Day 2 of the ARTploration Hop.  Isn't it fun the techniques you can do with stencils!

For my card today, I used the Flutterby Stencil.  I used a light gray for the background, and then just did regular sponging for the focal image.  I filled in the image with a couple of Copics, and used the Celebrate stamp set for my sentiment.

Okay, you know the drill.  You can see the other DT cards HERE over on the STAMPlorations Blog.  Be sure to comment for a chance to win a prize!

Heartfelt Creations May Alumni Hop

It's the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop for the month of May.  So.much.fun!

I just love a pop of color on a white card base.  Pretty CAS, but I think it carries a huge POP!

For some added depth, I layered my butterfly 3 times in black.

The Heartfelt supplies I used;

I went on to make another card [with a little tutorial] for you also.

I used the bfly die cuts as a stencil

 Made some colored embossing paste

Filled in the "stencil" with the spatula

For the last step, I added colored glitter to the wet embossed bfly and let it dry.

Okay, that's it for me.  Now it is your turn to follow along on the hop [leaving comments for that $25 gift certificate from Heartfelt Creations] -- Have fun!

ARTplorations Hop!

ARTplorations is having a super fun stencil hop over the next few days, and a super surprise on Thursday and Friday.

Gotta love anything coffee, [Coffee Cup stencil] and isn't this stencil fabulous!  I sponged on Versamark, embossed with clear powder, and then used the smooshing water color technique for my background.  [For the technique, all you do is rub ink on a piece of acetate, spritz it with water, and lay it on your card stock]  I love the unexpected result you get with this fun technique.  I also used STAMPlorations Fond Expressions for my sentiment.

You can see all the links for the other DT cards HERE on the STAMPlorations's blog.
Be sure and comment -- there are prizes to be won!

AAA Card Challenge #40 - Last DT Card

As stated in my title, this is [unfortunately] my last Design Team card.  While I am going to miss being on this team, I will definitely be joining in as a player in the future.

This is the actual card I gave my son.  I still can't believe he is 21!  Not sure where all those years went - and so damn fast!

I used Crafty Cutts Die for the Happy and Avery Elle Count On It dies for the 21.
Such a perfect card for DS since he has now found gambling --- Oy Vey!

I hope you come over and play along at the AAA Card Challenge #40; masculine  You can say good bye~

Addicted to CAS and JUGS Challenges

We are being sponsored by:

This challenge was really easy for me.  When I see "animal" I always go to this image.  It is so awesome in just black & white - even the DH said "that is cool"

Yeah, I agree.  This is so cool. :)  Image is from an OOB - bummer huh?

Come on over to Addicted to CAS and show us the "animal" you like.

On to Just Us Girls #294 - a photo inspiration.

The rug inspired me to use PTI's A Little Argyle for my background, and then I just added some flowers from Altenew's Hennah Elements.

How does the photo inspire you?  Come on over to Just Us Girls #294, join in the fun, and show us.  Can't wait to see what you create~
