Simon Says & SCS Color Challenge

I saw the Simon Says Monday Challenge is running a BRIGHT and BIG challenge~ I am so there!

 Can't get much brighter then using neon inks with Hero Arts, Brush Strokes. :)  My fabulous is done on my Silhouette that I stamped the top layer with IBS Background Basics 2.

It is also SCS Color Challenge #494 - Mary chose Mambo Melon, Basic Grey, Wild Wasabi, with a dessert of your choice; summer or a Christmas card.  As you can see, I didn't do the dessert.  However, I did use Mojo Monday's Sketch #361.

And, I stayed with the neon colors since they were so close to Mary's choice.  I used Verve's Celebration of Thanks [looks retired], along with SU Simple Shapes [also retired] and IBS Background Basic Lines.  I certainly had a bright day!

Come on over to SCS Color Challenge and play along!  We would love to see what you create~

I'm the Muse plus...

I'm the Muse over at the Muse Challenge this week.  I sure hope this card gets some great responses.  It's rather embarrassing when no one is inspired... just hinting saying... :)

I started with some water color paper, heavily sprayed with water, and brushed on some paints.  My butterfly is from Cheery Lynn, Exotic Medium Butterfly and a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays, Exclamations.

I sure hope this card inspires you to play along with the Muse Challenge at some point during the week.  I can't wait to see what you create!

It is also STAMPlorations Sketch #19.  A fabulous, general sketch, that I really enjoyed!

 I used the stunning Bloom Sketches - Shery does such a nice job of creating fabulous images, don't you think? :)

We hope you play in the STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge #19 - you don't have to use STAMPlorations images, but if you have them, we would love to see them!

Finally, here is my A Walk Down Memory Lane Card for Monday;

Pop on over to the A Walk Down Memory Blog to see what supplies I used and a tutorial to make it.

CAS on Sunday #41

I won a couple of dies from Die-namites this week and wanted to see if they were going to be as cool as I thought.  Oh yes they are!

Is this Elegant Medallion awesome or what?  I love it!
I am entering this into CAS on Sunday #41; black, white and 1 color [silver].  My congrats is from Inspired By Stamping Big Congrats.

I went on to play with the second die;

While I like this Elegant Holly, the leaves need some texture... I'll be playing more with this one in the future. Any suggestions for adding texture?

Gotta love free stuff! :)

AAA Card Challenge #18 - Water Color

This week it's all about water coloring again.  We just love the response we are getting with this type of challenge!

I followed the Fab Friday #49 Sketch.

I used a set of stamps I bought on line and I have no idea who made them! [Any suggestions?]  I cut out a label panel, inked a stencil with distress ink, and spritzed it with water.  Subtle water coloring this week for me.  There are so many ways to use water coloring.

We sure hope you play along over at AAA Card Challenge #18.

Going on to Just Us Girls #256 - Any Shaped Card

I had so much fun with this challenge!  I watched yet another video from Jennifer McGuire, No Mess Glitter Die Cuts.  [Gosh that girl is so amazing with all her different techniques and hints!]  I wanted to try this so I did with my round card.

I used my totally favorite tiny bird from Lawn Fawn Year Four, along with the fun Lawn Fawn Thanks - all glittered up just like Jennifer's video showed ;).

We hope you play along over at Just Us Girls with the any shaped card challenge.

Lastly, Addicted To CAS starts a new challenge today too.  It's all about luxury.

This week we are being sponsored by Inspired By Stamping with a $15 gift certificate

Gold always equals luxury to me.  I used a Memory Box die, Lovely Peony along with a sentiment from Inspired By Stampings, Flowers Bloom.

So, what does luxury mean to you?  Make a card and upload it over at Addicted to CAS.  Can't wait to see what you create~

A Free Day!

I'm taking a free day today to play in a few challenges.

Winnie & Walter [a new to me challenge] is running a challenge with Simon Says so I thought I would join in.  The challenge is to use a Simon Says stamp [or a Winnie & Walter stamp which, I don't have any] and make 2 cards with it.

I started my first card using the CAS(E) this Sketch #90.

I used Simon Says, Flower Friend.

Then I went with my 2nd card using the Paper Pals Arts Sketch #217.

It is always a pleasure participating in challenges.  I especially liked the challenge of making 2 cards from one stamp set.  I don't do that very often.

Thanks all- I had a great day :)

Inspired By Stamping with wanna sketch

It's my Inspired by Stamping day here on my blog.  I received the wanna sketch, and I loved it. So, needing a belated birthday card, I used it!

Fun huh?  I used Inspired By Stamping Garden Seed Packets along with Happy Sentiments.  I found a video making cuts from hand written words and yay me, I got it to work. I used the stamp, but even your hand writing will work. How fun is that!

Here's the sketch:

Help Out the Muse~

We are having a Guest Designer over at the Muse Challenge and are asking for your help.  No one has joined in the challenge -- Bobby has a really awesome card too!  Look at this;

I love her use of the stencil and paste and colors... Very cool card.

I did yet another trend, water coloring and used PTI's Flourish and STAMPlorations, Celebration.

Please pop on over and play along with the Muse Challenge. Let's show our support of a fellow stamper!

Dazzling Divas #40 - Color Challenge

It's Dazzling Diva Challenge time.  This week is a color challenge of pink & orange.

I say this every week, but I must say it again - I LOVE this craft metal!  It cuts like butter with dies [I used die-namics Rosy Rose], and cuts beautifully using my Silhouette.  I used Pucker Me Pink Craft Metal, Outrageously Orange Craft Metal, and Princess Pink Craft Metal, along with a perfect word from Altenew Super Script.
Remember, if you would like to purchase any of the craft metal sheets, order HERE. [I get credit :)]

I hope you like the colors!  Come on over to the Dazzling Divas's Challenge and play along - there is a fun prize to the winner.
