CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Final Day

Today is the final day of the October CAS-ual Fridays Release.

We are showcasing Chanukah.

I used gold embossing for this lovely card.

And silver embossing on this one.  I love that blue goes with both silver or gold.

Just Us Girls #416 - Color Week

I'm Hostess for this week's JUGS Challenge.  Being so close to Halloween, I went with the colors.  [Plus, I like them together]

This is the only Halloween card I made this year.  I'm not sure why, but I simply dislike this holiday.  I am the Halloween Grinch - yep, lights out and no candy.  I told you Halloween Grinch.  lol.  Meanwhile, for my oh-so-easy card, I sponged some Oxide inks, [the green photo'd yellow - arg] and used a sticker for my witch, my sentiment is from a retired GKD stamp set.  Took me all of about 10 minutes from creating, through posting here on my blog.  Sometimes, quick is perfect :).

I sure hope you pop on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge and join in.  I think the gallery will look amazing!

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Day 3

And we are half through the October CAS-ual Fridays Release.

Today, we are showcasing Joy.  A beautiful font for Christmas set.

Christmas and silver -- a lovely combination.  I also used Funky Flakes Fri-Die for my snowflake.

Red and white - a classy combination for Christmas.  For this card,  I also used the Noel Fri-dies for my mc.

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Day 2

On to Day 2 of the CAS-ual Fridays October Release.

Today, we are focusing on a super fun set called Bomb Diggity.

I sponged an ombre type background, embossed it and used Perfect Pearls for a pretty shimmering effect.

And, another sponged ombre effect in a different direction.  To get a nice black fabulous, I embossed it with black embossing powder.

Don't forget about my code to save 15%!

Reminder Post for TAGplorations Challenge #1

Have you played in the new TAGplorations Challenge yet?  This is your friendly reminder that it goes for the entire month, and you still have time to join in.  The challenge; All About Fall with an optional twist of Red, Orange and Gold.  You may use any product, but it must feature a tag.

Plus, I get to share another tag!  For this one [no twist this time],  I used the newly released Manila Tags.  I made a separate sheet of an Alcohol Inked pattern paper [see Loll's how-to video HERE], and cut out the Upper Case Alphabet letters from it.  I inlaid these letters into a kraft negative die cut.  I used the Art Edges for a small border, and adhered the Hugs Word Die.  I also cut out leaves, using Trendy Leaves 2 dies, from the alcohol sheet.

This will make a fun bookmark for someone :).

Now its your turn.  Like I said, this is a monthly challenge so you still have lots of time to play along.  You can load up your tag HERE on the TAGplorations blog. [Feel free to subscribe so you don't miss any of the future challenges]  At month end, the team will be voting on the Top 3 tags, and winners will be announced on the blog.  First place prize is a $10 gift certificate to STAMPlorations, and the other 2 top picks will receive a $5 gift certificate.  If there are more than 50 entries, 1 player will be randomly drawn to win their choice of any CUTplorations dies worth $20!  You may enter as many times as you want, just make them separate posts for linking to the challenge.

We hope you join in!

STAMPlorations Inspirations #148

Hi all.  This week the SI Team is focusing on Dee's Artzy Impressions.  All week long, her sets will be 15% off, and by using my code STAMPGIRLVICKID, you can save an additional 20%!

For my card today, I used the beautiful Blossoms Sprays #2, along with a sentiment from Smile.

While I can't color like the "artist" stampers out here in blogland, this image works perfectly for "my" type of coloring. Plus, it's fun to color it!

Want to see more inspiration?  Pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog.  Don't forget to leave a comment - there will be a $10 gc winner at the end of the month~

Some More Challenges

I am trying to involve myself more in challenges - 1, it challenges me, and 2, I get to use other companies stuff that is collecting dust in my stamp room! ;)

So, for today, I am joining in at CAS Mix Up October Challenge; layering stencils.

For my card, I used a Heidi Swapp stencil that I have (had like forever!)  I covered this stencil, with a stencil that Loll gave me over a year ago [probably 2, as fast as time goes], to do the layering stencil technique. I then used stitched rectangles dies for my framework.  I like the way that this card stays CAS, but has a little pop with the framing.  Still qualifies for the challenge too!
------------------
I went on to create a very easy card for a new to me challenge; If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #79; photo inspiration, along with the October Craft Stamper Magazine Take It, Make It; anything goes.

Let's start with the fun cookie photo;

And, my card:
I was inspired by the colors, and the spider.  I stamped the background dots with PTI Polka Dots Basic 2, and, the web and spider are stickers I had.  A fun card, that was so easy to make :).

That's it for my Monday -- thanks challenges - it was fun!

Just Us Girls #415 - Trend Week

So,  I kind of cheated with my card.  That said,  I'm saying it is a "fake" window card. ;)

I used acrylic for my "window" - does that work?  I hope so, cuz I'm going with it!  My ivy, and scalloped frame is from Ali Express, and the mc is Poppy Stamps.

To be honest?  I am lovin this "window" card! :)

Come on over and join in the JUGS Challenge with your window card~

Inkspirational Challenge - One Layer Card

I love making one layer cards. The challenge over at Inkspirational Challenge #145 screamed at me to join in!

I tried to make this card look 3D even though it is a one layer.  Do you think I succeeded?  I rather like it... but I can't tell.  I used Inspired By Stamping's Poinsettia stamp set.

Great challenge Inks!  Thanks :)
