Addicted to CAS Challenge

The gallery will be really pretty with green as the challenge!

For my CAS card, I used Altenew's Wild Fern stamp set.  For some reason, the color of this photograph isn't true to life.  It all is about lighting -- which apparently, mine wasn't great today. [Sorry about that]

I also used the Hello Word Die from Dare 2B Artzy.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Addicted to CAS Challenge and show us how you use green.

Just Us Girls #479 - Color Week

These colors scream Easter to me.  However, I didn't go there. :)

I just went with a pretty card. :)  I used Clearly Besotted English Rose [and matching dies][retired], along with a sentiment from Penny Black Heartfelt.

Your turn.  Come on over to Just Us Girls Challenge, and play along.
Can't wait to see how you use the colors.

Seize the Birthday Challenge

It's my choice for this time's challenge, and I chose dots and stripes.

I adore the combo of dots and stripes - add in a cup of coffee, and this card rocks. :)

Your turn!  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge, and show me your dots and stripes.  Remember to make it a birthday card.

Dare 2B Artzy Day

It's my Dare 2B Artzy day on my blog, and over on the D2BA Blog too.

Today I am using one of the new stamp sets; This is Me, along with one of the new stencils; Come Alive Stencil.

I started with the stencil.  A few tricks to share -- tape the card stock to the BACK of the stencil.  This leaves the entire stencil open for sponging.  To get a specific section of the stencil, use post its to "block" off what you don't want ink on.

I blended a couple of Distress inks for my saying, stamped the sentiment on vellum, and adhered the panel to an inked panel I had in my stash.  To add a little to the layout, I added a strip of dp from Lemons and Ladybugs Paper Pack.

 That's it for me today.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #207

Today is the STAMPlorations Inspiration day.  This week we are featuring Big Grins, illustrated by Becca Cruger.  All this week, her sets are 10% off, and if you use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID, you can save an additional 20% off!

I am really enjoying the black & white trend that has been around for a while now.  I just love it against a pop of color.

I used Buttercups & Butterflies stamp set [with matching dies].  My background is a piece of canvas with direct to surface ink.  It has a really great texture on the card front that I think is fun.

That's it for me.  Pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see what my teamies have created.  Don't forget to leave a comment for the $10 monthly gift certificate.

Happy Little Stampers ATC March Challenge

It's the time for the Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge.  It's really sad how this challenge isn't being played.  I'm telling you, these ATCs are really fun to make!  Have you tried them?  I highly recommend it.

I inked up a panel of cardstock, cut it to ATC size [2.5 x 3.5], and then stenciled hearts over the ink.  Naturally, my photographs aren't showing this very good.

However, if you look closely, you can see the sponged on hearts.  Anyway, I added a punched heart, and a you word die for 'love you'.  ATCs can be as easy as you want, or as layered.  So many choices you have.

Pop on over to the Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge to play along, and also to see what my teamies have created.  (These girls create amazing ATCs!)  You have all month to join in at this challenge.  Hope to see you there!

Just Us Girls Challenge #478 - Trend Week

Well I read this challenge wrong, but fortunately my card worked out!

I thought the challenge said stamp a background.  Fortunately, I am producing cards [to go on vacation] so fast, I am CASing out my cards.  I used this background from MFT [retired].  I do love my some dots!  Either way, it's stamped using a background stamp :).  As I said, I got lucky.  BTW, I absolutely LOVE this sentiment!  A life motto for sure.

Your turn.  Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge, and show us your backgrounds!
