This week, Holly's sketch was spied;
I didn't struggle quite so much this week :). [These sketches really keep me on my toes!]
At first, I had a butterfly in the upper left corner -- well that didn't work... at all! DH is like "Do you have a spoon" and low and behold -- I DID! hee hee -- to darn cute~
I used the fun Gina K Designs set Lazy Days of Summer, and the gorgeous die from Memory Box, Piestra Tile. My background paper was a FREEBIE from Mel Stampz, and my bow was made with a Bowdabra.
Pop on over to I Spy Sketches, check out the other DT's beautiful work, and also Holly's - the card that inspired this week's sketch!

New Challenges!
Surfing through blogland yesterday, I found a couple of new challenges (to me). The first one is Retro Sketches (have to start with a layout), and one I really have been looking for, a theme challenge; [There aren't many "themes" out there - lots of colors and sketches.] Chocolate, Coffee & Cards challenge. (I will admit, I was drawn to this site because of the word "coffee") Anyway, let's get on with the challenges.
Here's the sketch:
Just your basic sketch, but I got a little creative (hopefully not too much)
Over at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards challenge the theme is Feathers & Fur- you must have an animal on your card. I was so thrilled to be able to use my new Hero Arts Feathers set! Gosh these feathers are beautifully detailed! I also got some Hex cutters made by Lifestyle Crafts. [ I told you I would find some - the best part - I found them at a close out online store for $12!! cha-ching :)] I think I met the qualifications. Fun couple of challenges, I'll be playing again I'm sure!

For Your Inspiration 26
Can I just tell you how much I love being on this Team! Steph comes up with the most gorgeous inspirational photos evah! Seriously, look at this beauty!
Was I inspired or what?
I have been seeing this Memory Box window die for a while now, and simply had to get it! I love the effect of looking out a window and seeing a gorgeous scene. In hindsight, I got the smaller window, I think I should of gotten the larger one. [Just sayin..] I used the fun, newly released GKD stamp set, Wild About You, illustrated by Theresa Momber, along with Vogue Vases for the sentiment.
A little side note, have you heard of an Embossing Buddy?
Well, I have had mine for awhile now and FINALLY used it. Can I just say Duh! What a difference it makes - none of those tee tiny specks of embossing powder showing on my card! Yep, I'm a believer now! :)
Meanwhile, pop over and play in the FYI Challenge! Hope to see you there~

SCS Color Challenge 366
The colors this week over at SCS are really pretty together. I had my doubts, but I really liked the combo; Poppy Parade (bright red), Pool Party (aqua) and Delightful Daffodil (bright yellow). Hero Arts had a new technique that Sheri called Velveteen Stamping last week that I wanted to try too. Here is my card;
Well, here is the card WITH the dessert of ribbon.
Which one do you like better? I do kind of like the added ribbon...
I used the Stampin Up Script bg stamp for the background (retired), along with Gina K Designs Pressed Flowers, and Hero Arts Feather Grass and Friend. I had fun using this new technique, and it was really easy! And, didn't I tell you the colors work together!
Pop on over and play in the SCS Color Challenge! There aren't any "prizes", but you get the appreciation of fellow stampers in the form of comments! :)

Ippity Creating is Fun Blog Hop
Hi Everyone! We are having a fabulous hop today showing off the fun new Ippity stamps and combining with Martha from Creations By Martha.
I made this card using the fun Fabulous Girl itty bitty stamp set. I love this sentiment - it works perfect "for in-the-50's" birthdays, which most of my friends are in. I colored my dresses with copics, but they sure could be paper pieced very easily. My heart border is from Memory Box.
Maria & Martha sent me these fun products from Martha's shop! Checkout this pretty lace~ I love both of them and that button! Oh fun times!
Be sure and comment on all the blogs in the hop today! One lucky commenter will win a grand prize of Ippity Stamps from Maria, and a $25 gift certificate from Martha
We have a lot of awesome stampers joining in on the hop today. Check it out~

Papers Players 86
It has been so long since I played in the Paper Players Challenge! I have missed them, and the color scheme today; Wisteria, Crumb, Pear and Pool Party really appealed to me. I had time today, so I got creating.
I used the fun images from GKD's Springtime Silhouette stamp set, and PTI's Double-Ended Banners die. [I ended up not having Pool Party, so I used what I had - its a little darker, but it works. Hopefully the Players won't mind.... terribly. :) {{Waving}} here]

Oh I love this card~ I used the Scripty Script from SP & Company, the beautiful flourish from Papertrey's Fancy Flourishes, and the cute hello from Hero Arts Feather Grass. Only 3 images on 1 piece of cardstock - it can't get much easier than that! :)
