Just Us Girls Challenge #789 - Moodboard Week

I do enjoy moodboards!  I instantly thought of my ivy die, which in turn, equals a Christmas card for my stash.  So, here is my inspired card:

As par, I don't know who's die this is, but I love it1. Adding some textured background, and a die cut sentiment, this card was complete.  Nothing wrong with easy 😄

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #789 and show us how you are inspired!

Patterned Paper Party on Instagram

It's the 20th and that means its time for the fun Patterned Paper Party Hop over on Instagram!  There are many players in this hop, and it is fun to see how everyone else uses their patterned paper.  I went kind of subtle with just the candy canes, but I still used it :)

There is a lot going on with this card - it started by making the fish tail tags.  Once I got them done I thought about how to put them on a card to use them as a gift.  Grabbing some removable tape, these are now removable, and useable!  They also are like a faux banner on the card.

Once the tags are removed, I had stenciled, gessoed, and added texture to the background so it would still look like a card.  [Did I take a photo?  Of course not - sheesh.]  Now there is a win.

We hope you come on over to Instagram and hop the hop.  You can see it HERE.  There will be lots of eye candy :)

Elizabeth Crafts Designs

It's ECD day again here on my blog and also FB and Instagram.  I was in the mood to create some more ATCs.  These tiny cards are fun to make, and, many products get used!

Nice and bright right?  [The yellow might be a little over the top - but it's Summer, so I'm going with it.]
I started with a 3.5 x 8.5 cut card stock, and blended on some colors for a background.  Then, begins the creating.

I used the following ECD Everyday Elements products:  Circles, Banners & Ribbon Dies, Birds and Dwellings, Playful Textures Stamp Set, and All Occasion Sentiments.  I also used Journal Stencils 3 [with some embossing paste.].

Typically, I have no idea what I am going to do with these, but I am happy with them!

AAA Card Challenge #297 - Anything CAS

This one was a fun one to create!  I even got lucky and used green.  [I didn't read the challenge all the way through]

I dug out some dies, cut, layered, and colored.  This was a fast card!  I am having so much fun with this team.

I am thrilled with it!

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to the AAA Card Challenge and play along~

CutCardStock Day

There is just something about this color combo that I used that I totally adore!!  The contrast sings to me.

I used the following card stocks:  DCS Aqua, Basis Aqua, Surf, and Berrylicious.  Similar color family, but all different enough to see.

The striped side border is just a scrap of dp.  I used some older Technique Tuesday images to complete the card.  I'm very happy with the end result!

See you next Saturday~

Just Us Girls Challenge #788 - Word week

This is a nice and very popular word for this week.  Everyone makes birthday cards!

I used some images from Heartfelt Creations, and some CCS colored card stock, along with a fun 3D stencil from Simon Says.  These products together - match made! 😀

I am loving this end result!

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS Challenge #788 and show us your birthday card.

CutCardStock Day

A semi graphic card, using a lovely color combo.

What draws me to a card is usually the color combo, then the layout.  Trying different colors sometimes works out great - as this card [IMO] did.  I used the 130# Bright White, Textured Pearl Hummingbird, Smoke Gray, and Textured Blue Calico card stocks.

I just adore the textured card stock CCS carries!  It adds a subtle, little "pop" to your card.

See you next Saturday~

Just Us Girls Challenge #787 - Die Week

I do love florals!

Rather then making a card this week, I went with a tag.  [Yep, you  can do other projects rather then just a card for the JUGS challenges.]

The blank tag was just sitting on my desk - so I just used it!  I used some foliage dies, and also found this floral die cut, already completed in with the die, and yep, I used that too.  Oh yes, I did start with the stenciled background for some interest.

After hand drawing some faux stitching, and adding a sentiment, this tag was complete. I will include it with a birthday card as a small gift.

Your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #787 and show us your die floral card!  The gallery should be pretty.

An Actual Challenge!

I saw the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches #698, and was totally inspired by the sketch they had.  I had to join in!

I have had this idea for a bit, and, I have had these house dies for [what seems like] forever!  The sketch brought it together for me!

I put the sentiment strip on the card, and it made no sense until, I added in a few "lights".  I think that  works now. 😀

Thanks Freshly Made Sketches for the awesome sketch!  I had fun creating my card.

The Male Room Challenge #201 - Universe

This is going to be a fabulous gallery!

I had so much fun making this card! I water colored my "universe" and stenciled the moon.

Found the perfect sentiment and this fabulous card was done!

My son is potentially up for a new adventure - this card will work perfectly!

Your turn!  Come on over to The Male Room Challenge #201 and play along.
You have all month to join in.

Instagram Hop - Gorgeous Gift Tags

It's the 5th, and that means it's Instagram Hop for the Gorgeous Gift Tags.  For my tag today, I will be using this one as a luggage tag.  Being that I have a black suitcase, [and apparently 90% of travelers do], this helps me to identify my bag so.much.easier.!

I used Tim Holtz The Journey stamp set to create this tag.  Perfect for my use.

I also use a tag die from Spellbinders that is older then dirt [!], but still cuts beautifully.

You can visit the Tag Hop HERE.
