Seize the Birthday Challenge #288 - Tic Tac Toe

Well, this is fun.

I love making slimline cards, therefore, I chose the bottom row;

slimline, ocean theme, sentiment w/o birthday.

I only do mini slimline cards [3.5x6] because they use a normal letter size envelope, plus, I think the size is adorable.  I have been seeing large seahorses on cards, and fell in love with them.  I Googled seahorses, and came up with this fun one.  He can be sized to what you want and I made him very large.  Because of that, he was so fun to color with Copics!

I used an inked panel from my stash that went perfectly with the colors I used on him.  For more fun, I made it a shaker card.  Yep, I'm rather happy with this card.

Your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge #288 and show us what you choose to make your card from the tic tac board.

2023 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 4

I used another FREE digi from LovelyPlanner.com.  Rather then having the Starbuck logo, I covered it with a different digi from Verve - [one I saved when Julee was still in business.]

I added some gold thread and a small cup [again Verve].  Yep, Day 4 done - See you tomorrow~

2023 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 3

On to Day 3 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I don't know about you, but I am having so much fun creating coffee projects!

I came across this gift card holder over on LovelyPlanner.com. [Maddie usually creates something for this hop that I take advantage of].  Her FREE Coffee Digis are too fun!  Really an amazing array of downloads, for lots of occasions too.

I stuck on some google eyes, as this print reminds me of Halloween.

Alrighty, Day 3 done~ I'll be back tomorrow.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - No Stamping

Well, this was fun!

My first thought when I saw this challenge was die cuts.  I went a completely different route, and it's not even cheating! 😀

I used a PNG image from PNGWing [Such amazing freebies on this site!], and printed on my computer the sentiment.

For added interest I scored some lines for texture.  Needless to say, I love how this turned out - and, no stamping at all!

Your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  Remember, while the no-stamping is optional, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun!

New DT Team! AAA Birthday Challenge

I'm on a new Challenge Team!  This challenge requires birthday cards, and since 90% of my cards are birthday, this team is an awesome fit!

For my card today, I used what I call the "Shayne Style".  This guy's cards are stunning, and I love to use his style for my cards!

I used a sentiment from Simon Says Sentiments Strips.  [These are so much easier 😀] I'm adding this into Simon Says Monday Challenge - Happy Birthday.

Your turn!  Come on over to the AAA Birthday Card Challenge #40 and play along!  This is an easy one with Anything Goes!  Don't forget to leave some love for the team and our Guest Designer; Nance.

Just Us Girls Challenge #587 - Word Week

For this week's challenge, I couldn't find anything [in my stash] that said kindness. [really?]  So, I went online and searched kindness digis and found a few free ones!  You can get them HERE and HERE.

I printed a background full sheet of [I think] daisies, cut it down for an A2 card panel, and adhered that  to the card base.

I printed one of the freebies, cut it down for a smaller panel, then I colored it with Copics.  Yep, this card works for this challenge!

Your turn.  Come on over to JUGS Challenge #587, and play long.  I'll be curious to see how kind/kindness is shown in the gallery.

A Fun Challenge!

I came across a fun challenge today over at Clearly Besotted #13; Autumn or Halloween.

There is a small group of ladies that I meet with on a monthly basis.  [We chat and eat] -- our date next month is before Halloween so I thought I would make some fun goodie bags to share with them.  Perfect opportunity with CB's challenge!

I used Clearly Besotted Diagonal Stripes for my background circles, the jar of candy corn is a free digi I found on Pinterest, and I computer generated the Happy Halloween.  I used a piece of washi tape to close the bag.  I have plans to buy some candy corn and will put some in each bag.  I love these tiny bags, and hope the girls will too!

Just Us Girls #172 - Color

It is Saturday again -- last week end I was at CHA.  Yes, I had a fabulous time.  While walking the aisles with all the amazing products, I noticed that jars were very predominate.  I love jars!  With my color challenge for this week, I got to use a jar.  I am a happy stamper :).

The colors this week are Gray, Lime Green and White.  Here is my sample card for you:

This jar is a digi by Wax Fruit Company.  It looks like this digi company might be out of business, but I think you can still get it HERE.  I also have a stamp, but now that I have a decent printer, I can print off digis much better.  I like the fact I can size them to fit.  My butterflies are from Papertrey Ink, Butterfly Dreams and die.  My cute little jelly beans are from SU 1994! [I just love using old stamps]

Okay - do you like the colors?  Come on over to Just Us Girls Challenge and play along!  We love seeing your entries, and who knows, YOU might be the chick of the week!

A Couple of New Challenge Sites

Well, I found a couple of challenge sites, again, clean and simple.  Might as well go for it, since I am still on my clean and simple roll.  The first one is Just for Fun Friday, a color challenge.  This week was blue, green and yellow.  As you can see, I like blue and green and I just snuck in a touch of yellow.  The sketch is for Clean & Simple FLT95.  The adorable digi  I used is one of the images I won over at CAS-tastic from Inktegrity - is Wally the Whale too cute! (She does have a freebie on her blog at this point)  I just love his sweet smile!  The sentiment is also a digi, from Laurie Wilson for ClearlyDelightful.  Gosh, it's late I am off to bed.  Night all!!
