Whisker Graphics Last Post

Sadly, it is my last post for the Whisker Graphics company.  It has been a wonderful 3 terms with this company.  They have such amazing twine, and makes projects fun to make.

That said, for my last post I made this card:

You can pop on over to the Whisker Graphics Blog for more photos and what products I used.  Meanwhile, I want to thank Whisker Graphics for having me on the team.  I had a great time!!

CAS-ual Fridays & Whisker Graphics

I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog, and the Whisker Graphics Blog [but you are getting much more detail here :)].  I collaborated CAS-ual Friday products, along with Whisker Graphics products.  [It is quite awesome that the twine works with so many different projects!]

I used (just) a few CFS products to make this card; Friend Fri-Die, Casual Trees Fri-Dies, Friendly Flowers Fri-Dies, Fun Fetti Fri-Dies,  along with an actual stamp [;)] from Girlfriend.  I made tiny shaker flowers by using the Fun Fetti Fri-Dies. While they are small shakers, I do think they are rather cute.  I finished off my card by using some Whisker Graphics, Divine Twine Bamboo Aqua & White Twine.

Yep, I had fun collaborating with these 2 companies~

Don't forget, you can use my code to save 15% off any purchase from CAS-ual Fridays!

[yes, I do get a tiny something if you use my code]

Whisker Graphics Day

Today for my Whisker Graphics Day, I made an ABC project.   WG is doing a fun collaboration with PLAID with one of their new products; String Creations.

Here is my finished project and how I can use it.

I can use it as a wall plaque.

or as a coffee tray.

This is how I made this fun project:

I started with the round String Creation, and painted it with paint.

I printed and cut out a graphic from online, and Mod Podged it to the wooden plaque.

I finished it off by threading Whisker Graphics Solid Navy Divine Twine Petites through the holes.

Just another fun project that you can use Whisker Graphics Twine with!

See you next month~

Whisker Graphics & Stampendous Blog Hop Day 2

This is the 2nd day of the collaboration of Whisker Graphics and Stampendous companies.

I had so much fun combining products from both of these companies.

For this card, I used the luscious colored Whisker Graphics Divine Twine; Coral Solid and Red Solid.  I also used Stampendous Pop Up Kitties.  This set also has matching dies, however, I didn't get them, so I used my Silhouette to make cut outs.

These just make such super fun cards!  Now, pop on over to see more of the Hop!

Whisker Graphics & Stampendous Blog Hop

The team at Whisker Graphics is collaborating with Stampendous for a hop this week.  I had so much fun working with both companies products!

For today, I am using Whisker Graphics Green & White Bamboo Divine Twine, along with a small tag for labeling my gift set.

This is the sleeve I made to hold closed my card gift.

I used all the images in the set. What is even more fun, see the stenciled background?  This set has a free stencil included with it!

Here is the finished project;

Aren't these products awesome for that little needed gift?  Now, pop on over and check out the rest of the hop!  Good times ahead!!

Whisker Graphics Project March

It's Whisker Graphics time on my blog today. I am staying on for another 6 months!  [So glad they accepted me :)].

This is the finished card, with a small gift added in.  I used the fun and fabulous Coral Solid Divine Twine, along with a Printed Bitty Bag to hold the "gift".  The small sentiment tag is also available over at the store.

Pop on over to the Whisker Graphics Blog to see the entire project.

Whisker Graphics Day

It's time for a Whisker Graphics project here on my blog today.  I do look forward to creating an ABC [anything but a card] project using WG products.

I found this frame garage sailing [yes, I spelled it my way ;)] for like 10¢.  I knew I would use it some how, someday for a project.  Today is the day.

I downloaded, and cut a 2016 calendar.  I went through important dates and stamped images over the specific date I wanted highlighted.  [See my example with the heart]  St Pat's day I did a clover, April a flower, May my birthday etc...

And then I made cut images that can be changed out for the coming months.  For this month of February I used the Whisker Graphics Solid Pink Bamboo Twine.

As the months change, I will clip on the different cut outs, and change the twine to match. ie, I will use Solid Green Bamboo Twine to match the clover for March, the gorgeous Solid Navy Bamboo Twine to go with the April flower etc.

This is going to be a very fun calendar for 2016!
If I remember, I will post the new month, every month, over the next year..

Meanwhile, pop on over to Whisker Graphics and browse!
They have all kinds of products for you to make your own ABC project!

Whisker Graphics

It's my turn for the Whisker Graphics project.  Today I made a fun card.

I punched a circle out of extra wide scor tape, and wound the twine from the outside to the middle.  Makes for fun flowers.  I used Green Solid Divine Twine, and Aqua Divine Twine.  I just adore the bright colors Whisker Graphics twine comes in.  Have you popped over and checked out what they carry?  Pretty awesome products.

Whisker Graphics Project

Another fun project using some Whisker Graphics products.  I wanted to give my co-workers a little something and made these goodie bags.

Cute huh?  I used Whisker Graphics Red Diagonal Striped Little Bitty Bag, along with Cherry Divine Twine to tie off the bag.  I am using this one for the Boss, and these for the rest:

As I state every month, I adore these products!  They make the best ABC projects!

Whisker Graphics Day

For today's post I tried something completely out of my comfort box, but I had to try it anyway.  Making feathers out of twine!

Kind of fun.

To make these, here is a little tutorial;

Wrap the twine around a piece of cardboard.  Cut one edge for even pieces.

Using a pipe cleaner, knot each piece around it, one after one.  It's time consuming, but kind of relaxing at the same time ;).

Once done, trim in a feather shape.  To keep the shape, I sprayed starch over the completed "feather" and let it dry over night.

Then, I finished off by making a card.

What do you think?  Lots of texture, I'll say that....

I used the following Whisker Graphics products:

An Extra Whisker Graphics Project

Remember me telling you I much fun I am having with the Whisker Graphics products?  Well, I am having so much fun making ABC projects, that I am sharing an extra post this month!

While I keep my projects fairly simple, they are going to make some fun gifts for my co-workers and friends.  Did you catch that? Co-workers? Yeah, my sabbatical is coming to an end, and I have made the final decision to return to Starbucks officially November 2nd.  I am not quite ready to completely retire.  Having this past year off, has given me an idea of what retirement will be like.... Needless to say, when I officially retire -- I will have a plan [or lots of plans] -- the time flew and I did not really accomplish much.  On the other hand I have an additional 10 pounds [ouch] and even more cards in my stash! :)

Anyway, here are my finished ABC projects;

A couple of gift bags embellished with bookmarks with self made tassels.

A close up of my favorite one.  I scored the envelope for a fold over closing, added a little glitter tape and a silhouette cut, along with a covered clothes pin. I also attached the bookmark.  Eventually, I will put some cards inside for the "main gift".  Meanwhile, aren't the tasseled bookmarks fun as an added embellishment to the gift?  Everyone can use a bookmark!

Here is a tutorial on how I made them;

Step 1
Cut out 3 bookmarks; one using scrap cardboard [a recycled cereal box] for stability, and 2 more from designer paper of choice.

Step 2
Using a jar for dispensing the twine [stops it from rolling all over the place], I wrapped the twine around an extra pillow box I had. [You can use just a cut piece of cardboard say 2" wide]  Keeping in mind, the more you wrap, the thicker your tassel will be.

Step 3
Using a separate piece of twine, tie a knot at the top.

Step 4
Cut the bottom.  Using a separate piece of twine, wrap it around just under the tied off top.  I used a drop of glue to adhere the end. [no photo of that, oops]

Step 5
Adhere designer paper to both sides of the cardboard one, make a loop through the top  of the tassel, and loop it through the bookmark hole.
Super fun don't you think?
