2 More Challenges

I'm joining in 2 more challenges today; The Card Concept #186- Photo Inspiration, and Inspired By Challenge #219 - Inspired by Whip Cream.  I really enjoy visual inspiration - it just motivates me!

Let's start with The Card Concept - this photo - perfect!  I even saw a card layout, so, I remade the photo.

 

I used the Simon Says Delicate Frond, and a couple of unbranded dies to replicate the fern, and rather then doing the napkin holder with the twine, I made a fun sailor's knot.

I used a circle of gold shiny paper for the charger, and then, to balance out the card front, I did a hand drawn framing. 

I am rather happy with this card. 😀

I went on to join in the Inspired By Challenge.  I used the sketch, and was inspired by the hot chocolate.

 

I used some stashed water colored papers I had for the panels of the sketch, and dug out my There She Goes, Let's Get Together stamp set. [2009 people!  I'm tellin ya - I don't get ride of stamps LOL]  In this photo, you can see the "whip cream", which I made with Liquid Applique. [This stuff is amazing! Watching it poof up with the heat gun is so fun]

I colored the cup with Copics.  The Hello is from Dare 2B Artzy, Hello Die. [This is a fabulous set! It has a backing, along with a tag - priced so reasonably!]

Overall, I'm okay with this card.  Not one of my favorites.

There She Goes Challenge 132

Oh when I saw the inspiration photo over at There She Goes, naturally, I had to play!  My favorite - turquoise!  On top of that, I got a box of goodies in and don't ya know I got 2 sets of There She Goes stamps!  Fate, I'm telling ya fate.

I used There She Goes Flowers of Happiness. I also used my new Lattice 2 die from Cheery Lynn. [This one cuts like buttah! It's fun too! :)]
I am off to mail out my Christmas cards and than heading out of town tomorrow - here I come Vegas!  There will be cards coming your from my blog, but I won't be here to make sure they work! :)  Fingers crossed~

Color Challenge SCS and There She Goes Sketch

I just loved these colors together~beautiful! Betty has some awesome taste! CC262 ~Old Olive, Opulence and Razzel with a neutral! My sketch is from There She Goes.  I also love the crayon resist effect with the butterfly from GKD Take Flight!  I added in some leaves from GKD Tropical Flowers with some sponging.  Used my friend cuttlebug and this is good to go!  I am so happy I work late today too!  It is so cool getting a card done first thing - AND than going to work!  I need to have  a chat with my boss...  LOL.  Have a great day~~Thanks so much for stopping by!!
