Seize the Birthday Challenge - Add Gold

When I saw this challenge I instantly thought of the alcohol ink [with gold foil] panels I made a few weeks ago.  Perfect.

I also grabbed out my never-before-used Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms stamp set, with matching dies. [I won these from a give-away that Lisa Elton ran on her blog months ago. I can't believe I'm just getting around to  using them!]

The gold foiling is more apparent on this photo.  I just love this effect.  So pretty and shiny IRL.  My HB is from Lawn Fawn Year Two.  I did the no blend coloring technique on the images.  I still need some more practice, but I do enjoy the fun look.  I am also entering this card into the NBUS Challenge #17 that Darnell runs.  (I don't think I have ever played in this challenge.)

Okay, I'm done.  Your turn -- Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While the add gold is optional, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun creating.

Thanks for stopping by~

Welcome to your first entry at NBUS, Vicki, and thank you for sharing with everyone! And I learned about something new from you: no blend coloring. Cool! I love the alcoholic background, awash with highlights of gold. Those blossom stamps and images and your vellum sediment go perfectly with it! Keep safe! Hugs, Darnell

Ooohhh! Pretty!! That gold foil kinda gives a marbled look, right - I absolutely love that look! Beautiful for a background for anything at all - and those cherry blossoms look wonderful!

I am in awe of your gorgeous background, Vicki! I am still struggling with alcohol inks. Clearly I just need to put in more time practicing with them. Thanks for having me as a guest and for your sweet comments!
