Stampin B's #56 - Mother's Day Card

This week Nancyruth challenged us to make a Mother's Day card.  Since I need a couple anyway, it's no challenge but a godsend!  Makes me get er done!  LOL.  My problem?  I took them into work and SOLD them - So now, I have to make more!  Duh-- what was I thinking?  Oh yeah-- making money let's me BUY more stuff~~ BAWAHAAHA~~  Anyway, I am trying to upscale my cards a little by adding features outside my box - this card I used a swirl punch that I have had......a long time - you know the saying use WHAT YOU HAVE instead of buying more-- well, I am trying. (I really like BUYING new - LOL)  In fact,  I recently bought the ms punch (bottom border) and I LOVE THIS PUNCH - it works so well with the pearls - the rose is from GKD A Year of Flowers that I glittered with a Jelly roll glitter pen (I am not impressed on how it photographs though - it looks much better IRL)  I also used a leaf punch.  For background I  used my friend the cuttlebug with the "color your folder with ink before embossing" technique for the background argyle folder, [this is for STV challenge by Sharri] and just the dots folder for the other one.  Bling is some clearance stuff I found at Mike's.  I really was happy with this card~~ my boss was too since he bought it for HIS mom!  Since I don't duplicate cards I will be making another one for me.... but it won't be the same.

STV Blast from the Past Challenge

This is my card for Sharri's Back to the Past challenge over at STV.  Use glitter.  I went more subtle with just using glitter on my flowers.  The stripes and dots are my new cling stamps from Hero Arts - I absolutely had to buy these.  My favorite look is stripes and dots - I am not thrilled with the black I used on the pink, but you will see these stamps in all different colors in the future no doubt!  Fun times for me!  My Happy Birthday is GKD Inside and Out. I also need to give credit where credit is due - I got the inspiration for my card from one of my favorite stampers - ctornia - Cathleen, over at Crooked Card Creations.  She has the most beautiful and elegant cards~just check out her blog!!

Is this worth CASEing or what!  Love her work!!

QUESTION:  I am looking for opinions - do you like the clear photo or going on down further on my blog, do you like the softened photo look better?  I am on the fence so I figured I would ask you all - thanks for helping...

A Couple of STV Challenges

This card is for Karen's Anything But a Card challenge.  This week we made a postage stamp holder for your purse.  I don't use stamps - I have a meter, so I made this to go as a gift with a birthday card.  (to someone who uses stamps)  I used GKD Lovely Labels illustrated by Nina Brackett.  I really love the way these work with the nesties labels!  I used flat flowers (this is for a purse remember) that I colored with copics to match my cardstock colors.  Just a fun little project.

This is for Sharri's challenge Blast from the Past - this week is the kissing technique. I used a spotted kissing stamp on the dark leaves, and a kissing flower bouquet on the light.  I just am hoping you can see it.  I really haven't seen this card posted yet - good grief. LOL.  This sketch is from Sketch Girl #15~ a fun little sketch.
