Monday seems to be my CAS day - of course the CAS challenge might have something to do with that. My first card was for the SCS CAS challenge. I used the soon to be release Mark's Finest Papers stamp set Flourish Sea Creatures. (You know me with water- LOVE IT)
My second card was for the color challenge over at Stamp TV - black, vanilla and 1 other color. I wanted to see if I could do a CAS card with Theresa's Aloha set. I think I did okay. I didn't really want to use orange, but a beak is usually orange so I didn't have a choice~ lol.
Thanks for stopping by~~

Saturday Cards
The layout is for the sketch challenge over at Stamp TV.
---------------------------------------------This next card is the challenge that Anne Ryan started over at SCS - Queen for the Day - choosing members who leave encouraging/ sincere comments for fellow stampers. While I do leave sincere comments, mine ar short and sweet. I spend WAY TO MUCH on the computer - I want to be stamping.~~ LOL Anyway, the QFTD this week is Marilyn. What an amazing gallery!! All about butterflies - so pretty! Here is my CASE and Marilyn's card.
I used Innovative Stamp Creations - Serenity. LOVE THIS STAMP! Bfly is Hero Arts - I picked up the white gel pen highlighting somewhere in blogland... fun effect!
I gotta go - shoot I have a going away party to go to MY BOSS IS TRANSFERRING - OMG that is so sad! The man is so fun to work with -- I will miss him for sure!! Thanks for stopping by.. Vicki

Saturday/ Sunday Cards
This card accomplished 6 challenges! Now, for me that's ALOT OF CHALLENGES! The Dirty Dozen Ladies over at SCS are having their annual challenge contest. [You have to be a member of SCS to see and play - sorry about that] This card started with the sketch and the colors are from STV Color Challenge. There will be a total of 33 challenges over the next week! My goal - 1 card per day to cover all challenges... We'll see if I can accomplish that. So DAY ONE is done...once again using GKD Aloha set. I am seriously loving this versatile set!!
Now, I have to say that I loved this card~ yep clean and simple, loved the colors and than I realized... the challenges I made this card for were all from LAST week. [My routine is to write down color challenges and sketches and than when I go to create, it is on my desk ready to see.] Last week went so crazy for me that I lost track of the week - hence using old challenges. LOL - what a dweeb I am. This particular card I used PaperTrey Ink supplies - Polka Dot Basics, Signature Greetings and the butterfly is the die cut that I stamped with MFP Chicken Scratch.
Okay my last card is a new (for me) coloring medium I attempted. Susan over at Simplicity has challenged us to utilize water color crayons. I am really not sure about this. I see the potential and I think I kind of like this one, however, does it looks messy to you all? Too much water maybe? Anyone out there use water crayons? I just don't understand how to get them to work. Any suggestions (or tutorials - visual here!) would be greatly appreciated. I used Innovative Stamp Creations The Tropics stamp set.
BTW, I am only 2 followers away from my goal of 100 - than I can have a blog candy give-a-way! Feel free to become a follower if you aren't - I would LOVE to hit my goal!! Thanks for stopping by~~

Theresa Momber's New Stamp Set - Aloha
I was so excited to be asked by Theresa Momber to Guest Design this month with her new stamp set Aloha [sold by Gina K Designs]. Can I just tell you how FABULOUS this new set is! It is just so, I don't know................
AWESOME! All about water, palm trees and total relaxation!! My kind of stamps~~ I have made a couple of cards specifically for this evening, here are some other cards I created last week end. I wasn't kidding when I said I LOVE this set!
On this card I sponged the sky, water and sand, using post its for separation, then I stamped the surfer and palm trees with Memento black ink. Papers are from Gina K Designs- Rocket Red and Black, the dp is Cosmo Cricket Boys Rule. I love the geometric shapes on this designer paper to go with this surfer - so male.
On this card I used the distressed linen technique that Gina K videoed a couple of weeks ago. It is done on designer paper - a fun technique that went well with Mr. Flamingo here. I loved this sentiment ~~it works for your DH or your best friend - which in my case, is my sister! I am sending this on to her as my chick's vacation I just took, was with her!
That is it for me tonight. Keep coming back, [or sign up for email - and get my postings daily] because over the next few weeks I will be posting more fun cards for you to see. Meanwhile, you can purchase this fun set over the Gina K Designs store and make your own fun and relaxing cards~~ Thanks for stopping by. [Please, feel free to become a follower if you like what you see - I would LOVE IT! Just a little click at the bottom of my blog.]

Gina K Designs - New Release Party
Theresa Momber has asked me to Guest Design this month for her new stamp set Aloha. (I would link you up, but I am on vacation and I scheduled this post before the stamps were available) Anyway, when Theresa showed me this set I jumped on it! Me - beach? Oh yeah! I made these 2 cards for the release party, but I wanted to share with you all too.
Aren't these silhouette images wonderful!! I love the surfer guy... just screams Hawaii to me. I did Direct to Paper Technique along with some sponging for the background, and than stamped the silhouette images. Layered and mounted and we were good to go.... I am currently on a beautiful lake in Eastern Washington - that's the closest to water I have been in MONTHS! So this card got me ready! LOL
On this project, I found some clearance frames at Hobby Lobby for a buck! I bought them with a semi thought of flowers ~~with the images on this set I just kept going with the flamingo and coconut drink! This is sitting on my desk top~~ just to remind me of the beach. I sponged my flowers and colored the flamingo and coconut drink with copics. Feel free to head on over to the GKD store and check out all the new releases! There are some new fabulous stamps!
