Less Is More & Christmas

The Less is More Challenge is to use yellow.  Mandi, one of the Hostesses of this fabulous challenge site made a card that I had to CASE.  I loved the way she had a pop of yellow.

I instantly thought of the chick image from Gina K Designs Vintage Chic stamp set. While I used a little more yellow, I was definitely inspired by Mandi's card. (Thanks Miss M)

This card is for a Dirty Dozen current and alumni [that's me!] Christmas challenge over at SCS.  This challenge started in January, and is monthly. Since it is almost 1/2 way through the year (shut the front door), I figured I had better get started making Christmas cards.  What better motivator then a challenge. :)

Here is a close up of my Spellbinder's Layered Poinsettia. By using pop dots in between the layers, you get wonderful definition of the layers. I also used a stylus [with a foam pad] to add some roundness to petals and leaves.  [I learned this from Kittie Caracciolo over at KittieKraft.]
