Playing in Challenges

I found some challenges to play in today that worked out wonderfully.  Why you ask? Well, we had a garage sale on Saturday, and I put out all my cards [can you say 700+!!] for $1.  Yep, I had a major blow out sale.  My problem is, I sold a lot of my Christmas cards.  What was I thinking?  Now, I have to make more so I have some to mail~

I started with SIP Challenge #21; CAS Christmas and AZ Scrapbooking; one layer Christmas.

I sponged my ornament, and the mc is from Hero Arts Holiday Sayings.

I went on to play in CAS(E) This Sketch #148.

Spellbinders Create a Flake die, with Hero Arts Holiday Saying again.

And lastly, I joined in Happy Little Stampers 2 challenges; NEW Mixed Media; tag, and their Christmas Challenge; also a tag, Loll's 12 Tags of Christmas; media tag, and lastly, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; a Thank You.

 

I used a couple of Tim Holtz dies for the tag, and the deer.  My background stamping is from STAMPloration's Mixed Media Grunge, and Cupcake Inspiration #335; tags. Edited to add in Loll's 12 Day Tag Challenge too!

SCS Color Challenge CC554

It's the color challenge again over at SCS.  This week Maura chose Mossy Meadow, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake with a dessert of designer paper.  [I made my own background paper.]

I did some sponging, and used dies from MFT Falling Leaves and Tim Holtz Friendship Words.

Easy, but has a wow factor I think.

SCS Color Challenge CC539

It's Karen's choice this week for the SCS Color Challenge CC539.  Since I am her sample maker....Her colors this week are -- Soft Sky, Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, with a dessert of something other then a straight edge.
 

   Not quite sure I got the dessert, but for once I actually had the challenge colors!  I got a Tim Holtz Sizzix package of dies, Friendship Words; Script -- WOW tons of dies - 16 actually, so I used one of them for the friend.  Love the font of these dies...

JUGS #244 & ATCAS #40

Dual post today for my 2 Saturday Challenge teams.

We'll start with Just Us Girls #244 - a Sketch.

I used Hero Arts, Blossom III, and my new Simon Says, Flower Friend for the sentiment.

I also needed to make a card for Addicted to CAS; Transport.

 This is also a fairly new [to me] stamp set by Tim Holtz, The Journey.  I used the fun technique [via Jennifer McGuire], Ink Bleeding.  I sure am loving the effect, just the hint of color.  Another awesome card for my son's return home next month.

Just Us Girls #229 - Inspiration Photo

Lisa has picked a super fun Inspirational Photo for this week.  Remember, you are to be inspired by the photo - lots of ideas came to me when I saw this.

 I seem to be on a water coloring kick lately.  I just love the effect.  For my panel, I did direct to paper with my distress inks, and then sprayed it with water. Aw just stunning blending~  I also inked my embossing folder before running it through my Big Shot.  I used a Tim Holtz stamp set, Stamper's Anonymous.
