Overload of Sandy Allnock's 7 Day On-Line Class

Warning - you are about to be overloaded on cards - hey it's World Card Making Day right? ;)  I got behind with Sandy Allnock's FREE on-line class so, I took my morning [into afternoon] to finish the 5 classes I missed. Sandy used lots of fun products, I used what I had.

Are you ready?  Here we go...

Day 3 - making a gold papers.  Sandy used Ferro, I used Gold Perfect Pearls.  I sprinkled some perfect pearls on my worksheet, added water, and dragged my water color paper panel through it.

Using my Viva Inka Gold Gold, I covered the Tim Holtz Reindeer Flight die cut, along with the edges of my card base.  My mc is from Poppy Stamps.

Day 4 - Liquid Gold Water Coloring.  I used my Gold Smooch Accent Ink.

I used the gold background technique on this and added some Dylusions Calypso Teal Ink Spray so it would help to balance out the color on the card.  I used the fun critters from Hero Arts Happy Day Animals. I also colored the bird with my gold smooch.

Day 5 - Sandy used Pearl Pens.  I actually have these, but tried her tree coloring instead.

Yeah, Sandy's was better, but I tried.  I used the fun Inspired By Stamping set; Winter Friends, and the lights from Festive Greetings.

Day 6 - She used Shiny Beeswax.  I used some Claudine Hellmuth Sticky Backed Canvas I had.  We were also suppose to make a round card.

I used more images from Winter Friends [they are just so cute].  I like the texture the canvas gives the stenciled star background. I also loved Sandy's hint of cutting a tiny piece of the back of the card base off so your round card stands up!  What a duh moment for me! :)

Finally, my favorite out of all my cards, and the last class, Day 7 - Gold Brush Pens.  I used gold embossing [instead], and used her shaker card idea and layout.

I used my Fuse Tool to make the shaker holder.  I embossed my fern, and yes, it kind of melted the sheet protector that I used for the holder, but I like the effect. My mc is from Clearly Besotted.

That's it for me!  I can tell if I do "classes" again, I will keep up.  Sorry if I overloaded you all with all my cards.  I wish I could upload these individually in the in-linkz [right] but I can't.  I will be uploading Day 7 - my favorite.

Thanks Sandy for the classes, the videos, the hints, and the potential prizes!
Off to comment on my fellow players~

Sandy's Day 2 - Go For the Gold

I am on to day 2 for Sandy Allnock's Go For the Gold FREE CLASS.  Today she covered crackle and spray.  Again, using what I have [I don't have crackle] - I tried embossing paste, spray ink and glitter for a faux crackle look ;)

Though you can't see it, I mixed some Gold Perfect Pearl in with my yellow ink spray, to get a semi, shimmering gold.  IRL, holding it just right, you can see it.  The photo, not so much.

I used embossing paste and heat gun dried it, which did cause a tiny bit of crackle, sprayed it with the same shimmer spray [as above], and added some glitter for more sparkle.  For the side strip, I used embossing paste and actually added glitter into the paste.  As with Sandy, I don't think I have ever made such a sparkly card.

Day 2 was fun, though not as successful as yesterday's.

Thanks Sandy!

Sandy Allnock Free Class - Go For the Gold

Sandy Allnock is running a FREE online class!  I watched her video and thought I can do this with the supplies I have.  I'm not sure if you all remember, but my motto for 2015 was Use What I Have.  With the exception of my We R Memories Photo Fuse Tool, I have accomplished my goal!  Today is no exception :)

While Sandy used Gold Modeling Cream, I used my Viva Gold Inka, a Spellbinders Snowflake Die and a sentiment from Hero Arts Holiday Saying [both retired], and even a really old Stampin Up image from 2001. I basically CASED her card [she used hearts].

Sandy used a palette knife to apply her cream - I used my finger [so much easier]

She is running this class for 7 days.  I am looking forward to the next project.  Thanks Sandy - it made for a fun card.
