Stamp TV Sketch

This card is for Stamp Tv's Sketch Challenge along with the Less is More Challenge - use acetate.  The Hostess of this LIM challenge, Chrissie used white on the vellum against the black base.

I had to try that!  I LOVE the way the white stands out so clear against the card base, and I really enjoyed seeing yet another way to use vellum!  (Thanks Chrissie).  I used the GKD stamp set Hope Grows.  I really like the butterfly in this set - so elegant.

Oh how ridiculous am I!  I went to upload this card over at Stamp TV and low and behold I found a card I had made for this sketch and forget I made it!  Sheez.  Oh what the heck, I will share it too!  Same set was used GKD Hope Grows. What a dweeb I am~~ :)

I also wanted to share ANOTHER set of cards I made for my sister.  [She really does make out like a bandit with my cards.]   She saw my blob flower card,

and asked for a set. Since I don't re-make cards, I kept the same "blob" flower, but changed the colors and size, and also made a holder for them.

I really do love my "blob" flowers, and I thought this was a fun set.  I used Inkadinkado Amy Smyth Made It Garden Variety stamps.  I really like this set - very versatile.  To make blob flowers, I flipped the flower stamp over and stamped with the backside of the stamp, and than used the actual stamp image on top of my blob.  Fun results! Sketch Challenge at SCS

The sketch today over at SCS was a CAS sketch.  Right up my alley.  I used a sneak peek of MFP's stamp set Spring Has Sprung.  Just a fun sketch to go with a CAS style card.  I did want to share my background paper site with you all.  Paperprintables It is a free digital paper site and I have to say it has some beautiful paper!!  Just sign up for the news letter and everytime she does new paper she sends it to you!  Quite convenient.  I have an entire file of paper to be used....eventually. :)

Another one of my favorite challenges is the One Layer Wednesday challenge put on by Susan at Simplicity.  This week we were to use an image, a border stamp and bling.  I used a stamp set I have had for a really LONG time and have never used by Amy Smyth.  I made what I call Blob Flowers.  You use the backside of a stamp for the blob, and then I used the lined image.  I am not sure this qualifies for the challenge since I used 3 images but I wanted to try my blob flowers.  As you can see, I am SO BAD at lining up borders - this particular one (again one I have never used) didn't go all the way across the card so I tried to match it up.  Shoot, it isn't straight across on the card - frustrates me so bad!  I think this time it was because my stamp image wasn't straight on the stamp block (and yes, I do use a grid block too!)  Like I said - so frustrating when my stuff is crooked.  I suppose I could of made another one --- however, I also dislike throwing away paper.  Just another personal challenge of mine.  Thanks for stopping in~
