STAMPlorations; ARTplorations Stencil Hop

Welcome to the STAMPlorations ARTplorations Stencil Hop featuring Sanna Lippert Designs.

For my first sample I used the ARTplorations Evolution Stencil.

I sponged on ink in rainbow colors for the stenciled background.  I also used Balloons & Banners for my  happy birthday sentiment, and Kathryn's Big Wishes for the fun balloon.

I went on to create a ghosting effect with the Flowers 2 stencil.

I sponged on color with some distress inks, laid the stencil over the top, and spritzed with water for the ghosting effect.  I also used the Layered Holly stamp set, and the Merry Christmas Word Art Die.

For lots more inspiration, pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog.  There are 8 different Sanna Lippert stencils being featured today.  You are in for a super fun time!  Don't forget to comment as there will be 1 winner of a $20 gift certificate, along with 2 winners of 3 of the stencils featured today chosen from the participating blogs along with the main STAMPlorations blog.

Have fun!!

ARTplorations Stencil Hop

artplorationsstencilhopdec2016.png

We are on Day 2 of a 5 day ARTploration Stencil Hop.  Shery has a huge array of stencils over at the store, and these hops are a great way to see some of them, along with different techniques of using them.

For today's sample, I went with a card.  I mixed 2 stencils [Shutters, and Weaving] for my background, and Holly Background for my front panel.  I added in the Happy and Holidays, which kept the stenciling more of a focal interest.

That's it for me this hop.  Pop on over to the STAMPlorations blog for much more amazing inspiration. And, if interested, this hop will continue for 3 more days.  If I know Shery, there will be lots of opportunities for prizes too!
Have fun hopping~

STAMPlorations ARTplorations Stencil Hop

ARTplorations is having a fun hop today!

I used the Ghosting Technique for this card.  Sponge on distress inks [I used Wild Honey, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade] -  lay the WEAVING Stencil down over your sponged card panel, spritz it with water, and blot off the water while leaving the stencil on the panel.  Lift stencil off.  I love the end results of this effect.  I then cut down my panel, stamped it with Boxed Blooms and a sentiment from Fond Expressions 2, and embossed it with a Tim Holtz embossing folder.  I am entering this into the April CAS Mix Up Card Challenge; stamping, stenciling, and choice [embossing].

For this card, I sponged on distress inks; [Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn], then I taped my stencil over the panel and sponged on Mermaid Lagoon.  [I rather like this look - I have never done that before :).]  I stamped Bloom Sketches, colored with Copics, and cut out with a fishtail die.  My sentiment is also from Fond Expressions 2.

Be sure and leave a comment on the blogs for the prizes:
  • THREE (3) winners will receive their choice of ARTplorations stencil (standard size - 5x7). Winners will be randomly drawn from all comments left on the designers' blogs.
  • ONE (1) winner will receive a $15 gift certificate OR her choice of 2 ARTplorations stencils (standard size - 5x7). Winners will be randomly drawn from comments left on the STAMPlorations blog.
Check out what the rest of the team made! You'll find links to all our projects here.

I sponged a Bokeh background.  Once that dried, I added the Christmas tree over the top.
My sentiment is Hero Arts.

ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop - Day 2

It's Day 2 for the ARTplorations Stencil Hop.

For this card, I used the Christmas Reindeer stencil, along with the Holly Background stencil.

I sponged on the background, and then using gold embossing paste, I layered right over the top.  After letting the first layer dry, I applied a second layer so that the background didn't show through quite so much.  I added my mc and a couple of framing layers.  I adhered the panels onto my card base, and I have another Christmas card completed. The best part, it is easy for mailing since it is flat.

Now, to see the rest of the projects, click HERE.  Remember, there are lots of prizes to be won.  You can find out all about them when you click on the here.  [Don't forget to comment!]

I won't be participating tomorrow, but I will be back on Friday with another stenciled card.

ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop Day 1

It's time for a fun hop using the ARTplorations stencils.  [Apparently, my Christmas cards are not done....]

For my card, I used the Christmas Reindeer stencil.

I used gold embossing paste, and before it was dry, I sprinkled glitter over the image.  My mc is a free Silhouette cut file.  I just love the black on top on the shimmering gold.  I am entering this into Virginia's December Challenge; glitter.

That's it for me today.  You can go HERE to see the rest of the Team's projects.  Be sure and comment on all blogs for a chance to win one of the [many] prizes;

ARTplorations Hop - Day 4

We have 2 days left for the ARTplorations Hop.  Today is my last day, but don't forget to finish it out through Friday.  Remember, you can also play along with the Flash Stencil Project. [see STAMPlorations blog for details].

I did a layering effect with this stencil starting with the Bold Florals Stencil in a light yellow and then stamping with Trendy Butterflies over the top. I really like the effect of this.  I used some Mixed Media Grunge images on my tag.

Like I said, this is it for me this week.  You can see today's other DT links HERE over on the STAMPlorations Blog.  Don't forget to comment for that potential prize!

ARTplorations Hop - Day 3

We are on to day 3.  Are you having fun yet?  I know I did making my cards.

Literally, this is a simple sponged stencil [Happy Flowers] using what I call "focal stenciling".  I kept all the lovely surrounding white to make the colors more vivid. :)  I also used STAMPlorations, Happy stamp set.

Onward for more eye candy.  You can see the rest of the links HERE over at the STAMPlorations Blog.  Don't forget to comment for a possible prize!

ARTplorations Hop - Day 2

It's Day 2 of the ARTploration Hop.  Isn't it fun the techniques you can do with stencils!

For my card today, I used the Flutterby Stencil.  I used a light gray for the background, and then just did regular sponging for the focal image.  I filled in the image with a couple of Copics, and used the Celebrate stamp set for my sentiment.

Okay, you know the drill.  You can see the other DT cards HERE over on the STAMPlorations Blog.  Be sure to comment for a chance to win a prize!
