Some More Challenges

I had some free time, so I played in a couple of more challenges.  Let's start with the Freshly Made Sketches #604.  It's a sketch by Cecile, and I love her sketches!

I did some swiping with my ink pads, and cut the leaf out of a stashed painted panel.  To add more detail, I sanded off the paint from the vines.  Kind of loving that effect.

I have no idea who's sentiment this is.  I think I have had this at least 3 years and NEVER USED IT!  That my friends is the definition of  "buyers addiction". 😀

----------------------------------------------

I went on to join in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; use a background stamp. So naturally, I stamped a background because that's how I work.  [oyie vey] .  So, I made another card and used an actual background stamp like I was suppose to. Duh.

I white embossed [Ranger White Embossing Powder] a triangle background stamp, and then did some ink smooshing. I liked the end result, and instantly thought of my Tim Holtz Bold Botanicals using the same technique of coloring to match my background.

The sentiment is from Memory Box Signature Greetings with matching dies.  I am bummed this is no longer available - it's one of my favorite sets, and I like to share with all of you.

Another fun day.  Have a great and creative week end~

Love both cards, the ink swiping is a bit different than the way I've seen it done and works great this way! As for the smooshing, I love the color palette you choose and the fact that you made both layers!
