Love the timing of this challenge as I really have been enjoying making shaker cards lately. Especially the edgeless ones [that's what I call them]. (You can see the video I watched HERE to show the how to of making these.)
I also enjoy making alcohol ink panels with gold foil, so I started with that for a lovely background. I scored the transparency, added the stuffing, and closed it up around the panel. I just love this look! I think it looks rather elegant.
I added a 3 layered happy and a birthday strip to the top of the transparency, and lastly, adhered the finished panel to a card base. On a side note, I use 3M transparencies from the office supply store. I bought a box of 100 probably 15 years ago. This box will last me FOREVER. That said, it is thicker then craft supply transparencies. Therefore, I use a stylist tool for scoring. It works really good for a deep score which makes it much easier to fold the edges of the sheet.
Thanks for stopping by~

Wow, gorgeous bold colors and a great shaker!!!
So artsy and modern, great shaker!
WOW! Your AI background is STUNNING, Vicki! LOVE the deep saturated colours with all that gold foil. Gorgeous! And so pretty with the shaker element on top. I need to try out this type of shaker card ... looks like it might be easier than the original ones. :) Beautiful card! xx
Vicki... I so want to get my alcohol inks out and play after seeing your gorgeous card! The beads were a great addition. I, too, am working off a 20 year stash of 3m transparencies! I absolutely love this new way of making shakers. I am about to downsize my craft for a second time... it will be interesting to see what is going to go this time. Thanks for the beautiful card.
These shakers are a game-changer for me too! Nice job!
I'm loving these edge-to-edge shakers too, Vicki. I never thought of transparencies but already having a supply was good luck for you. I just used cellophane that stamps come in. The bold colors really add a dramatic effect to your card.
What a pretty card! I love the background! The gold looks so pretty! And I love those “edgeless” shakers!
Love the bold background Vicki for your fabulous shaker card.
That background is amazing with the touches of gold added! The big bold sentiment is perfect to not distract from that beautiful background. I really do have to try one of these edgeless shakers.
Absolutely gorgeous card, Vicki! I just love the stunning alcohol ink background panel! Amazing colors.
