Spread Joy Not Germs Hop

Today I am joining in the Spread Joy Not Germs Hop hosted by Catherine Pooler and Hedgehog Hollow .  Since I am on 2 of the design teams for a couple of the company sponsors, I have 2 cards for you all today.

I will start with products from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Company.  [The sentiment is beyond perfect for this hop]

Right?!  This sentiment is from Doing Great.

I also sponged a rainbow background panel [again, perfect for this hop of joy], and then using the Trellis Cover Die, I cut the cover die out.

Just FYI, if you use my code below, you can save 15% off your CFS purchase.
--------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
For my 2nd company, I am using STAMPlorations products. I used the awesome Hope Blooms stamp set.  Again, very appropriate for these crazy times.

I used rainbow colors [very inspiring and hopeful] for a cheerful card.

I also used the Hugs Word Die, [which unfortunately, is sold out].

You can use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID to save 20% off your purchase.

Don't forget to leave a comment. Also, I am giving away a $10 gift code to STAMPlorations. I will randomly draw a winner from comments left here on my blog.  Just answer the following question;

What good book/movie can you recommend for the stay-at-home status?

You can pop on over to both the CAS-ual Fridays blog, and the STAMPlorations Blog and check out the prizes that these companies are offering.

Meanwhile, the next stop on this hop is Rachel WinnIf you get lost, you can always go to Catherine Pooler Blog or Hedgehog Hollow Blog for a full list of participants [and to see all the prizes available!].  While you don't need to comment on every post in the hop, you will increase your chances of winning if you do.

Thanks for stopping by~

Pretty card!!! I work in a warehouse so I was chosen with one other lady to keep things running as best as possible while others shelter at home, I'm also in my last semester of school (my graduation got postponed :( ) so I have a list of books a mile long that everyone has been able to catch up on and read during this. I'm really glad that folks share good books :). Thank you for sharing :)

Aimee's Stamping Adventures said...

I love both of your cards but your first one about surviving 100 percent of the bad ones is one I need to remind myself of. I know at times when dealing with those tough times if might feel like we never will get through them. Such a great encouragement card. Made me smile. Thank you.

Such fun, colorful cards. The new jamanji 2 movie was pretty funny. But you do need to watch the first one before hand so you know what is going on.

Annamarie's Blog said...

Hi I love your colourful cards. The "Hope Hug" card is unique and really cheery. If you are looking for a book/movie - I would recommend a book series and tv series called Outlander. There are plenty of books to take you through the lock down and the series has been going for a few years now, so if you ration it (or binge it!) It will keep you going for a while. Keep safe and well. xx

These are so fun!! Love the bright, happy colors and the cheeky sentiment on the first! I don't know if it is your thing or not, but we just finished a Star Wars marathon with my brother-in-law. Watched one each night for a week and a half. You definitely figure out what is going on better that way!

Fabulous cards!! I especially love the background on the first card.

Reneeleeak said...

Very nice cards. The sentiments are great for what we're all going through. Comedy is a good remedy for a stay-at-home status so I think the movie "Just Visiting" is a good cure for that!

cebelica said...

I really like your cards. The colours you chose are awesome and so is the design.
As for book/movie suggestions... Hmmm... I really like S. Kinsella's books. I'm not sure about the movies, because I don't watch a whole lot of them, but if shows count, I would definitely recommend The big bang theory. :) xx

Sammy said...

love them both, but that second one especially grabbed me!

As for books and movies, there are SO many! I'm currently reading Italo Calvino's "If on a winter's night a traveller", which is sublime! Another recent favourite was "Circe" by madelaine Miller. Though for pure escapism, I think "The Princess Bride" can't be beaten (and the movie version is great too!)

Good book or movie for staying at home? Well, I haven't read a novel in quite a while, but I read the "good book"! As for movies, I am a big fan of musicals and older movies with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! So pick one, and enjoy!

Susanne Wichert said...

I think 'The sound of music' is an awesome movie :)

LOVE your colours, sentiments and designs, SO UPLIFTING and CHEERY :)
Thank You for sharing and INSPIRING!

I have so many favourite movies to recommend, from comedies to sci fi and dramas. If you feel like singing along, Pitch Perfect perfect is fun and of course, if you have MANY hours to fill, you could never go past the Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter series of movies ... enjoy :)

Lynn Hill said...

I like your Hope/Hugs card! the colors are great.

As far as what I would recommend to watch - If you have Netflix I would definitely recommend Anne with an E. It is family friendly and is an Anne of Green Gables retelling that is just precious. My husband and I watched the first episode and we were hooked - we blitzed through all three seasons. And, you don't need to worry about keeping up with the series forever because it is only three seasons - and ends in the perfect spot.

Thanks for sharing and for the discount codes as well.

Thank you for participating in this excellent way to encourage stay-at-home! My book recommendation is Quiet by Susan Cain. It's a great non-fiction book exploring the role of introverts in a society that prizes extroversion above all else. It's a particularly interesting read right now, when introverts are generally better able to handle staying at home.

Teresa Godines #6857 said...

Love the sentiment on your first card. Such a true statement right now. I think an easy read is in store right now. I love Debbie MacComber, the Good Yarn series.
