For my first project, I went with something, that I believe, adds that last little pop for sending out our cards.
Yep, a finished envelope! Just that last little pop to finish off our handmade cards.
I started by creating an envelope topper template in my Silhouette, and cut out 6. I used copy paper, to keep the envelope light. Sometimes my cards go over the basic weight and costs more postage. The last thing I want is for the envelope to cost me more ;).
Once I cut out the template, I stamped them, sponged on ink for a more finished look, and adhered them into the envelope.
I finished off by stamping on my self inking return address stamp.
I love these! Eventually, I will probably make matching cards. However, that really isn't necessary - just having the envies decorated and ready for mailing is awesome.
Here are the supplies I used for today's project:
STAMPS:
Remember I said SS carries ink? You betcha!
[Nice and juicy, and fabulous]
These are the colors I used:
Geranium
Seattle Sky
Lilac
Hunter Green
Putty
That's it for my first DT assignment. What do you think? Like I said earlier, pop on over to Simply Stamps and check out the array of products they have. It is pretty fabulous.
On a side note; SS is running a challenge of writing letters! Yep, get off that phone, sit down, and actually put a pen to paper. You can see the rules HERE. The challenge runs until February 14th.
Thanks for stopping by~

Congratulations Vicki- I am thrilled for you!
Congratulations, Vicki! I look forward to more of your projects. Your envelope liners are so nice - a gorgeous finishing touch. BTW, I do write letters to friends and family. Our youngest son forbids me to e-mail him. He's a big fan of snail mail. But I don't do Instagram so won't be participating in the challenge. Have a great day :)
First of all, congratulations! And secondly, your envelopes are so amazingly beautiful. How fun to get cards in envelopes with such bright colors on them. And I love how elegant your address label works with them too!
Well finally I get a chance to check all of this out! This is very exciting indeed. Great news and the site looks fab - I love a good stationery shop :) looking forward to seeing more of your projects. Xx
