Simply Stamps Day

It's Simply Stamps day here on my blog.

Today I made a mini stationary holder for my friend's birthday.  I used the Simply Stamps Autumn Oak Leaf stamp, along with the Happy Birthday Balloon stamp.  I inked up the leaf stamp using 4 of the Archival inks, and spritzed the stamp with water.  I loved the end result after I stamped it on dry card stock.

I added a pretty pen, and this stationary box is ready for my friend.

Here are the directions to make the pizza style box;

Start with a piece of card stock 4.75 x 8.5.
Score the long side at 3/4" and 4"

Flip the paper and score at 3/4", 4", 4 3/4" and 8"
Cut and miter the 6 flaps.

Add adhesive to flaps, and adhere box together.

Again, the finished box:

I hope you enjoyed my project today.

Simply Stamps Day

For my Simply Stamps posts today I made a birthday card.

I used the Happy Birthday stamp to make this fun card.

I used Distress Oxide inks for the sponging of my circle.

HINT:  To save on sponges, I adhere one to each of my inks with double sided tape.  Works perfectly.

That's it for me today.  I hope you enjoyed my card~

Simply Stamps Gets Involved

Memorial Day is a day to grill great food in the beautiful summer weather surrounded by friends and family. But before we enjoy our holiday-inspired cocktails and burgers cooked to perfection, it’s important we take time to remember what this Monday off is all about: honoring the troops who fought selflessly for our freedom. That’s why this Memorial Day we’ll be collecting donations and letters to send overseas to our soldiers to remind them how thankful we are.
We’ve asked all the employees of our roughly 70 person strong small business to spend a few dollars on something or simply write a letter to put a smile on the soldiers’ faces. Whether it’s something as small as a bag of beef jerky or a meaningful handwritten thank you card, we hope to make them feel a little closer to home this Memorial Day. Donations and letters will be collected until Thursday, May 25th.
We invite our local customers and followers to participate by dropping any donations off at our Jacksonville, FL. location at 2021 St. Augustine Rd. E. To those spread far and wide throughout the country, you can also contribute. Care packages can be sent to Support Our Troops at the below address and they will ensure they make it to our troops.
Support Our Troops
13791 N. Nebraska Ave.
Tampa, FL 33613
Support Our Troops asks all senders to include your name, address and phone number on the outside of each box in case you need to be contacted. It’s also encouraged to include a photo of yourself, family, company, etc. so the soldiers can see who the packages are coming from! If you have any further questions, visit their website here.
To encourage your participation, we’ll be giving away some Memorial Day-inspired summer swag to one randomly chosen participant! Simply share your donations and letters with us by posting a picture on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and tagging Simply Stamps. All pictured donations will be considered an entry because we know the smallest things can have just as big of an impact!
We thank you in advance for your contributions and your desire to make a difference! Our gratitude goes out to all of our soldiers, fallen, retired and current. Cheers to an unforgettable Memorial Day weekend in their honor.

Simply Stamps Day

It's Simply Stamps day here on my blog.  Today, I made a Sympathy card.  Fortunately, this one is for my back stock  and not needed - whew ;)

I started with the following supplies;

I sponged a panel of card stock using a large dauber with Pumpkin Pie ink, and used With Sympathy, and Corn Stalk stamps for my stamping.  To finish off the card, I added some glitter tape to the top and bottom.

A very simple card, but one that will work [when I need it].

Simply Stamps Day Project

It's Simply Stamps day today on my blog.  Today I am making a luggage tag that I needed for my chick trip to Cabo. [oh yeah!]

I used the Autumn Foliage Leaf stamp and stamped with the following Color Box Inks; Pumpkin Pie, Geranium, and Putty.  To add some dimension, I punched holes around the outer edge, and did some faux stitching by connecting the punched holes with a black sharpie.  I also added black dots around the leaves.

The best part is I was able to use my Self Inking Return Address stamp.  I will add in my phone number and will be ready to have my luggage marked.  A custom tag makes identifying your suitcase so much easier.  (Especially when you have a black suitcase.)

Pop on over to Simply Stamps and check out the many products they offer.  Plus, there is also a Mom's Day Challenge going on.  Anyone can play, and the random winner gets a $100.00 gift certificate to Simply Stamps!  You can check that out here.

Simply Stamps Day

For my Simply Stamps post day, I made some personalized stuff.  I like to send thank you notes when I sell my stamps, and sometimes I just need a Thank You note in general.

I started with some quick Thank You notes using the Simply Stamp Thank You stamp.

I made a small box to hold them in for sitting within arms reach on my desk.

And I also stamped a stack of envelopes using the Sunflower stamp [as my background], and my Self Inking personal return address stamp.

It never hurts to be prepared :)

Simply Stamp Day Project

Today, using a few Simply Stamps products, I made a key holder that will come in very handy.  Here is the finished project;

We own a rental property, and the renters need our address [for mailing those rent checks ;)].  How perfect is this key holder for them!  A place for the keys, along with never loosing our address.

To make this project, I started with a 10¢ garage sale find frame.

I broke off the back stand since I want to hang this on a wall.

I cut a card panel the size of the frame

Now, the fun part starts!
Using Simply Stamps Ice Cream Cone stamp, I cut off the "ice cream" portion so I could use just the "cone" part. [This just extends the use of the stamp, as I can still put the 2 cuts together again to use the stamp as originally intended.]
I stamped repeatedly across the card panel using the Color Box Wicked Black ink.
The advantage to this ink, is it is archival, and works with my water color pens.

I painted the frame using black paint, put everything back together again, and adhered some clear hooks. For the last step, I stamped my address using my Self Inking stamp.  All done!

Have you popped over to the Simply Stamps store to see all the products they offer?
It is pretty amazing~

Simply Stamps Day

It's Simply Stamps day here on my blog.  This week rather then an ABC project, [anything but a card], I made an actual card, along with a tutorial on how I made it.

Here is the finished card;

To make this card, I used Simply Stamps the Victorian Pineapple and the Happy Birthday stamps.

Card Tutorial:
Step 1; Using a MISTI, take off the actual stamp layer and adhere it to the MISTI.  Do this for both the stamps.

Step 2 - Using the Color Box ink, Hunter Green, stamp the Happy Birthday.

Step 3 - Using the Metallic Pigment Gold Plate ink, stamp the center pineapple.

Step 4 - moving the card panel 5 graphs to the left, re stamp the pineapple. [I cut graph paper to fit on the inside of my MISTI for just this purpose.]

Step 5 - move the card panel [from the original position] 4 graphs to the right; re stamp the pineapple.

Step 6 - Emboss the pineapples using clear embossing powder.

The Finished card again;
You will note that I have the HB on a separate die cut circle?  Unfortunately, I smeared the original.  The plus to making cards is most mistakes are fixable!  I simply re-stamped the sentiment on another piece of card stock, cut it out, and adhered it over the top of the original stamped image.  All saved!

And of course, I finished off the back of the card with my personalized self inking signature stamp!

Be sure and stop by Simply Stamps to check out the huge selection of products they offer!
