I started with Gessoing my tag - swiped on some direct to paper ink [distress inks], then I laid a stencil over the tag and spritzed with water. Because I wanted a little more color, I just smooshed some ink onto my worksheet, spritzed that with water and dragged the tag through it. Once dried, I grabbed the Mixed Media Grunge set and started stamping. Once I was happy with the look, I used some Inka Gold Copper color with the Bubbles stencil and filled in a few circles. I cut out my flower [Bloom Sketches] and sponged on ink to color it, adhered it to some cut out leaves, and layered that onto my tag. Stamped off a sentiment and my tag was done. I really like the way this turned out. That's the fun thing about multi media stamping -- just keep adding and layering until you are happy.

Wonderful background and that blue flower just jumps off it.
Mixed media marvelous! The coral/blue combination is especially striking! I have some gesso (not sure why *grin*); perhaps I should use it...Thanks for the inspiration!

You just do tags so well! Lovely blue daisy and great mixed-media background!
Beautiful tag design and I love that daisy. It looks so realistic and your coloring is awesome. Great design and colors on the tag portion as well.

I have never been able to do the multi media very well, but you have inspired me to try again. I love what you have done here!!
This is so pretty Vicki. LOVE that smooshed, stamped and stenciled background. The copper ink really shines. And the blue flower looks amazing! Love how it plays off the orange tones of the copper. Gorgeous creation! xx
