I just have to laugh -- I started with this card;
I got the side sponged border all done and pretty, and then I got the circles cut and stamped with the sentiment, adhered it to my card and TA DA - realized this was not a one layer card.
So, I moved on to card number 2;
Now, again with this card, I sponged in the pretty border and realized the sentiment wouldn't fit so I turned the card and stamped the sentiment. I cut the card [remember, this was suppose to be a one layer card] into a 4 x 5.25 panel and mounted it on a horizontal card. Once again, this also was not a one layer card! [Oh for goodness sake!]
So, again, I moved on to card number 3;
SUCCESS! I sponged the side border, stamped the sentiment, added a ribbon [which is okay on an one layer card] and said YES! Done. Wow, that was an interesting couple of hours. The plus side, I will make one more card and have a nice set of cards to give as a gift. That works for me~
On these cards, all sentiments are from Dare 2B Artzy,
Have you linked on over to the Dare 2B Artzy store and checked out the stamp sets? Amazing stuff I'm telling ya!
Thanks for stopping by~

love em all, but gotta say, I love the last one with the yellow!
The cards are so beautiful! The yellow just pops on the screen - lovely!
All are beautiful and now you are on the way to a great gift set!
OMG OMG OMG these are FAN-TAB-U-LOUS! Wow...they are just gorgeous. I love the off-stamping, what a great effect and fantastic colors too! I definitely feel a CASE coming on here!
I think all of them look great. Love the blue, especially. That black "lace" looks fantastic!
Very pretty cards!
I love all of these and I loved your write up...made me chuckle as I read along...I have done that before but not with such beautiful results! One a way from your box set!!!
Love the lace trim on the cards and the fabulous colours with the black! Great work on both :)
Vicki, I have done exactly the same thing, designed and finished a whole card before realising it was not one layer! I love all of these; the combination of flowers and lace is beautiful.
