Stamptember Fun with Hero Arts!

I started my day out watching a Tim Holtz video as he completed a tag from start to finish.  Wow, is he inspiring or what?!  Okay, let me back up a bit. - Simon Says is running a Stamptember Inspiration all month long.  It started with creating a Pin Board, and then through out the month you add onto your board, what inspired you during the month.  I found the SS Blog - subscribed, and I am looking forward to playing are/or being inspired.  I am also planning on throwing in items for a wish list -- DH will love the convenience of clicking though, buying and he is done with me for Christmas.

So I am joining in at Simon Says Any Goes Challenge.  OMGosh - there are over 600 entries!  But you know the ole saying, you can't win if you don't play.  It's worth it to me, plus I got an awesome tag out of the challenge.  Hero Arts Blog is running a challenge of using embossing.  Perfect!  I love texture on my tags and I just happen to have a Tim Holtz embossing folder that worked perfect. :)  Ready for some photos?

The Completed Tag

A Close Up of the fun embossing for the Hero Arts Blog Challenge.

Do any of you make tags?  What do you use them for?  My choice?  A bookmark, and actually, the last time I traveled I put one on my suitcase with a return label of information on the back of the tag.  That really did work out well since my suitcase is black.... I recognized the tag as soon as it popped out of the shoot at lugguage.

I am looking forward to this month and being inspired.  The perfect goal~

Thanks for stopping by~

Ok...that is a very cool tag. I love that you enter all these challenges. You're right...you can't win if you don't enter. I don't usually make tags, but I love your idea of putting a homemade tag on my suitcase. I currently use a bright pink ribbon because my suitcase is black too...lol.

I started my day out with the same video! Love his tags! I mean, how does he NOT run out of ideas? Superhero, that's why. Love what you came up with! So many fun elements and textures. I love to make tags. Some flat ones for bookmarks but mostly, around Christmas, I hang them on my tree. Actually, most of our ornaments are me tags! Love to see my style/talent change from year to year.

Thanks for playing with us at A Blog Named Hero!

Very cool tag!
I don't make very many because rarely use them, with exception of a bookmark ...
Best of luck in the challenge, sure hope you win!

Great tag, Vicki. I love the inks and the embossing. TH makes tags look fashionable....and now so do you. I don't make them much either - unless for a gift.

Hi Vicki,
Glad you're back. I'm still in SL so I haven't been back to looking for that die yet, but I will not forget.
