I once again used the GKD stamp set Aloha for the Inspiration challenge over at STV. I obviously used the colors, with a brighter green. I don't care for sea green]. The layout I used is from Fridays Sketchers. I liked the harder sketch - I have been doing CAS a lot lately. [It's so easy...lol]
This card accomplished 6 challenges! Now, for me that's ALOT OF CHALLENGES! The Dirty Dozen Ladies over at SCS are having their annual challenge contest. [You have to be a member of SCS to see and play - sorry about that] This card started with the sketch and the colors are from STV Color Challenge. There will be a total of 33 challenges over the next week! My goal - 1 card per day to cover all challenges... We'll see if I can accomplish that. So DAY ONE is done...once again using GKD Aloha set. I am seriously loving this versatile set!!
Now, I have to say that I loved this card~ yep clean and simple, loved the colors and than I realized... the challenges I made this card for were all from LAST week. [My routine is to write down color challenges and sketches and than when I go to create, it is on my desk ready to see.] Last week went so crazy for me that I lost track of the week - hence using old challenges. LOL - what a dweeb I am. This particular card I used PaperTrey Ink supplies - Polka Dot Basics, Signature Greetings and the butterfly is the die cut that I stamped with MFP Chicken Scratch.
Okay my last card is a new (for me) coloring medium I attempted. Susan over at Simplicity has challenged us to utilize water color crayons. I am really not sure about this. I see the potential and I think I kind of like this one, however, does it looks messy to you all? Too much water maybe? Anyone out there use water crayons? I just don't understand how to get them to work. Any suggestions (or tutorials - visual here!) would be greatly appreciated. I used Innovative Stamp Creations The Tropics stamp set.
BTW, I am only 2 followers away from my goal of 100 - than I can have a blog candy give-a-way! Feel free to become a follower if you aren't - I would LOVE to hit my goal!! Thanks for stopping by~~

Just LOVE the butterfly card!! Fabulous, clean lines and great colours. Great Hawaiian card in the next two. Great masculine card with the leaves. Wonderful set of cards :D
Vicki, your cards are gorgeous!! Especially love the 2 Aloha cards but love the CAS style butterfly card a lot, too!
hi vicki-been out of touch lately-busy with shower invites-I am so ready to resume crafting & blogging-great cards that yiu have posted
Just became a follower. Thought I was already but just read your request and checked. Believe I am now the 100th. See so many of your cards but I guess I was on other sights....love them all.
Well, happy to oblige.....even though you already have a hundred Followers now.
My sister couldn't deal with her S
U watercolor crayons so threw them away. I like what you did with them though. The watercolor technique always looks a bit "messy" to me, but look at Brigit/Beggans entry on simplicity and see how artistic "messy" can look. It's the nature of watercoloring, I think, and the technique Susan used is just one of the watercoloring techniques.
(But don't take my word for anything because I'm a Crafter having fun, not an Artist. ) :-)
You've been a busy girl.......those Hawaiian cards are gorgeous in the bright colors!! All four cards are fab!!!
Wow...you have been busy! They're all great...but those aloha cards really call out to my "love bright colors" self! ;D Diana Q
