Coffee Loving Summer Hop

The girl is at it again [Amy Tsuruta] is Hostessing a Summer Coffee Hop, over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.  I am so there!

I wanted to use the Stamps of Life Coffee4two.  I love this cup [and the matching die] -- it's huge and perfect! :)  I also used some papers from the Celebrate Paper Pad.  The yellow dotted screams summer sun to me!  My trusty [and so old] label maker made the hb.

I went on to also play in Pretty Pink Posh Water Color Hop.  Since I used a coffee cup I thought it was appropriate to put it in this post too.

I used the [super] fun Stampin Up Perfect Blend set, using my new Zig Water Color Pens for the water coloring. [I totally love these pens!]

These hops are open to anyone! All you have to do is make a Summer Coffee Card and or a water color card and play along.  Did you see all the Sponsors? Both hops have an amazing list!

See you at the hops!

Challenges! Yay!

So, having stepped down from most of my blog teams, I now I have time to actually play in challenges!  (This is quite exciting for me.)

I am starting with One Layer Simplicity #17.  I have loved this challenge since it was over on Susan's blog -- I think I have played 3 times since they have become official with their own website. How sad is that! :)

The challenge is Round to Round.  2 circles on your one layer card.  No more, no less. However, you can add a sentiment :)

I knew exactly what I wanted to do and grabbed my circle stencil.  I have been so impressed by the blending I am seeing in blogland lately and wanted to see if I could do it too.  I believe I accomplished my goal - I love my card.  Nice, bright and vivid as all get out! :)  My hb is from CAS-UAL Fridays; Shenanigans.  I am also entering this into Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; masculine [using CAS-ual Friday]

I went on to play in the MOJO 400 Sketch Challenge!  400 - what an amazing milestone. It is nice to see a company last that long, and I hope many more years [and sketches] ahead.

BA BAM!  I got some new Zig Clean Color Real Brush Water Pens.  Do you love how vivid these puppies are? I certainly do, and I am in heaven on how easy these are to use!  My background stamp is Rubber Stampede, Wild Rose Background and my sentiment is from Penny Black; Heartfelt. Fortunately, Verve stamps aren't required. Apparently all of mine are retired, so winning some new - yeah that would rock!

Okay - I need to pace myself, I don't want to overload my Followers, plus, I need to cook dinner~

New Water Color Pens!

So, I was introduced to a Group over on Facebook. Hmmmm.... not sure that was a good idea.  It's called Stamping Enablers.  Does the title give you a hint? HA! It should - [major danger Will Robinson! :)]

They enabled me to purchase the new to hit-the-trend, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.  Heavens to Betsy (!) - these things are so awesome!!  [You can see a video HERE from Sandi Allnock]

I wanted to actually join in a challenge [it's been forever!].  The ColourQ #292 Challenge colors are rather perfect for my new pens~

My cut out is from the Silhouette store.

While this was an easy use of the pens, I really did want to try it on flowers.

So, out came my Altenew Hennah Elements and Super Script.

Aren't these colors so fabulous?  I am going to have a blast with these new toys!  Gorgeous, vivid color -- so me!  And, not to bad for a first attempt~

See ya!
